It's all about VIDEO MARKETING. This one is around 10 minutes long, pretty short for a podcast. I'm not submitting to itunes just yet... I'm going to try to release 3-5 episodes first to up the chances of me being featured in the New and Noteworthy Category.

My background is in video. Video was my hobby in high school, I then went to college for 4 years studying Digital Film and Video Production in college. I wrote several articles on video for web throughout my college years, which got me hired at an international advertising agency where I worked for two years. The entire time I worked as a freelancer, taking on additional clients on the side. I've done sizzle videos, explainer animations, commercials shown on television for well known brands.

From you I'm looking for 2 things:

Feedback
This is done in a new style I'm trying out. There are sound effects thrown in, it's a bit laid back/chill... It's only 10 minutes... I want to know if this is something YOU'D listen to. I think it's very fun to edit this way, but I'm not sure how this will be received by an audience.

Questions
I'm looking for specific questions you may have regarding video marketing. I don't have an audio submission form up and running yet but you can submit questions here on the forum in text format... or as an audio file via email to Dennis@DennisDuty.com.

Please include your specific situation and background. If you have a background as a stand up comedian, I'll recommend something different than if you're a shy reclusive programmer.

Maybe you own a business but you don't think video's for you. Maybe you don't want to invest 10K on equipment and want to do things on the cheap. Maybe you have a product page that needs video testimonials but they all seem' fake.' Maybe you've been making video for a while already but you want to bring in a professional actor for your show and you don't know how to host. Maybe you don't know where to find a voice actor for your small project.

I'll take any and all video marketing questions! Bring it on!

while currently saving up for a product I'm going to purchase from China, I'd like to make a website/landing page of the product to gain some feedback or customers from the market. If possible, how can I make a video without having the item itself?

As far as questions: everybody always talks about the big Youtube for obvious reasons - but what is your take (or experience) in using other sites like Vimeo in video marketing efforts?

I just cant resist asking this one...What are some steps you cant take to increase virality?
(idk if thats a word )

Also if you haven't thought of this already, I would go to Quora and look up unanswer, or badly answered questions, pick the best ones and use them for your next video. Then you can link your podcast to that question and get some more traffic.

I haven't heard of it yet. I signed up and saw a few things I can promote. I actually saw a few well known video service companies answering questions on here and getting traffic. Great idea. I think LinkedIn has a place for questions too I can look for. Thanks for the tip!

If anybody has any video marketing questions.. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE submit them! I love hearing what people are thinking! Interaction makes this much more fun for me.

I guess episode 2's link was dead. Turns out I uploaded a .wav instead of the mp3 by accident which made my link broken.

Installed a new plugin to add the podcasts to the website properly. Uploaded #1 So far. I also created a VIDEO for it with some placeholder background graphics I created. I imagine having these uploaded to youtube will help with accessibility.

I would very much appreciate an episode on a hiring someone to do a product video. My biggest questions are: What do I need to prepare for this person? What should this actually cost and how long does something like this take? How did I give good feedback to this person? How do i track it's effectiveness?

I'm absolutely thrilled to find your podcasts about video marketing. I've been saying for years just in general that video is the way of the future, but haven't really put all the pieces together in my head to use it for some marketing. I['m coming out with a new product here soon and video is going to be a great method of dissemination for me versus articles for my info marketing.

As an aside, I too have the desire to build a castle so if for nothing else I like you because you like castles.

I have a progress thread on the INSIDERS forum about my video endeavors. To summarize right now I'm focusing 100% on product creation (should be done by easter) and until that's finished I put a hold on the podcasts. But early april I should be rapid-fire launching podcast after podcast.

What product you looking into marketing? Is there anything I can cover on a future episode to help?
