Sales rep job in construction/home improvement advice needed

I coached a bunch of folks for free on how to break into sales within 30 days without experience.

A lot of the people who apply for the role are lying about their qualifications so the hiring manager is thinking, "Don't TELL me how great you are. SHOW ME you're great".

So how do you SHOW them that you're great? Perform the tasks that someone in the job already does.

I'm still cranking away here, biggest month ever and majority of my work is just web site building now.

Son is doing well since he relocated here, usually ups and downs but hey he's his own boss, he does this full time and can make money as he needs. Handy he can lean on the old man with some sales help and I share my secrets with him to run an ultra lean website machine factory lol.

It definitely wasn’t “easier” back then. Back then in the 70s and 80s places like NYC or Los Angeles were really bad.
