So I have been doing this yoga routine about 2/3 of my mornings since roughly August of last year.
I have historically been one of the least flexible people that I know, and have been that way since the dawn of my first memory. It has caused me lots of issues through my life, and I have always had bad knees and hips.

One day, I don't remember why, but it was in August of 2022, I decided to change that. I found this video for some reason on youtube and it didn't piss me off. I would say that 95% of "fitness" stuff on youtube is pure trash. It is either people just trying to show off their bodies, or them giving you bad advice in order to be able to keep up with content generation, or it is from people who are on an insane amount of drugs in order to look the way they look.

So after 3 days of doing this routine my hip issues, which were present after every single mountain bike ride, completely disappeared, and I have not had a single hip issue since. Laying on my back and doing leg scissors I can also now lift my legs, with my knee straight, to nearly 90 degrees. About a year ago I could not even get close to that, it was comically bad.

I am now at the point where I am looking for something a bit more difficult.

So for anyone on the fence about doing some stretches every day, here is an amazing video that is easy to start, and will keep you going for at least half a year. And the best part? You can literally do it in about 10 minutes!!! I know it says 11 minutes, but she talks for a little at the start and the end that you can skip.

Great. Now I get to tap dance around a conversion with my little one about what pornography is and what is meaninglessness.
Sorry!! . Recently I spoke with my brother who’s in jail and has his parole review coming up next month.

I asked him a question that I didn’t know the answer to. I told him, what’s the difference between Zack back then before my pre-Kayla relationship days, and Zack now.

He said it was because I lost my drive or my sense of purpose. My inner drive as to why I do what I do.

And if I’m to be honest he was right. I would have never thought that my brother who is. Jail would have the answer I’ve been looking for as to why I lost my drive.

He was wrongfully jailed for something he didn’t do. He was the one who gave me confidence when I was little and couldn’t stand up for myself. My sister's past history and her choices led him to be in jail. I will never forgive her for now. I have so much internalized anger for what happened.

He always knew the answer to the questions I didn’t have. I honestly looked up to him and the confidence he had.

If anything my purpose would be to be the big brother he could look up to and to him help financially secure his life, payoff my moms house, pay for his car straight out, so he wouldn’t worry about anything ever again.

And to help my little sister who has been wronged by my real father, who has literally abandoned her for her entire life.

And to never worry about money ever again. For the situation I had caused myself.

I created a phrase for myself. I say Never, Never Again. I Will Not Lose. I will see and payoff every debt I owe. I will see zeros on my credit report so that I will never have to experience the situation of seeing all my credit cards maxed when I was 25, each wanting about $500 dollars minimum and living with my parents feeling like a failure and helpless ever again.

Or the feeling of being neglected by my family.

I have trained my kids to think water is the greatest beverage on the planet. Which is actually true. They are both barely more than toddlers.

Every time they have water they go "ahhhh, yummy water".

My wife is not a big water drinker, my kids make sure to let her know how good water is at every opportunity. "Hey mom, guess what is the best drink? Water!"

Wife: "What do you guys want to drink with lunch"
Everyone else in the family: "Water. What else could there be to drink that is better?"

Although we try to avoid drinking it out of the hose.
A good water filter is the best one and done investment for your health you can make, and aside from being healthier, the water tastes a lot better too.

People think they can only drink cold water because room temperature water is gross, but it’s only because the cold masks the horrible chemical taste of tap water. Filtered water tastes great.

You just broke the whole damn purpose of the new system a**hole
It’s not like it isn’t valuable. People should know their money is controlled by a freshwater gamefish. The proper way to end the Fed is with Berkley night crawlers and a Carolina rig.

"Ideas are pawns. Execution is king." - MJ DeMarco

Theory confirmed.

For every 1 person that manages to execute, there are at least 1000 people that have had the idea.
I have a notebook with the idea for Uber described in it that I wrote in about 2004 after being pissed off one night about just how crappy cab service is. Know what I did with the idea after I wrote it down? Absolutely nothing.

Was sliding through TMF again recently

Stuff like this reminds me of the "Everyone's doing it" section MJ talks about. Every single post I see talks about starting copy/paste agencies and stuff. So hard not to get sucked in by the crowd sometimes.

It's interesting to see the roads inside of TMF that AREN'T on lists like these, that aren't as sexy.. And look within them.

I think you're throwing out the baby with the bath water. Who cares how many are doing something or what gurus on YouTube say. If you can help someone with any of the above, and get paid, then you're in business. Then figure out how to scale or pivot and scale.

This couple bought a house in Detroit for $6.5K, fixed it up, and sold it for $410k.

View attachment 48129 View attachment 48130

The house looks awesome, but I don't understand why stuff like this gets millions in free publicity. What's the agenda?

1) They spent over $300K.
2) They spent over 3 years.
3) The father was a general contractor so surely there was an abundance of resources, skills, and likely, excess material.

If you net it out based on the #'s they disclosed, they earned $17K a year on the project. If you divide that by time, they likely earned minimum wages. And this is based on disclosed numbers, things are likely worse. It likely was also an albatross on resources; time, mental bandwidth, etc.

Can you explain in kindergarten English where the problem is?

It looks like ChatGPT not verifying age for younger people was a part of the issue.

But overall the EU is very strict on the use of your personal data by any business.
It falls under their Copyright Directive and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) rules:

- Businesses have to tell you exactly how your data will be used
- Have to get your permission to use it for anything you haven't agreed for
- Have to keep all your data secure, and if it gets leaked they have to tell you
- You also have the right to know what data a company has stored up on you
- And you can ask them to delete it all too

I would imagine nearly all of this goes against ChatGPT is training up their AI.

Another part of this same GDPR rules is copyrighted material. ChatGPT is trained on large amounts of text data, including copyrighted material, so I think it is quite a grey zone on if it would be breaking a lot of these rules.

But... clearly AI is here to stay so I don't know how Italy would make this work longterm.

Good job man. Any idiot can blame whatever. It takes a solid man to take responsibility and admit you screwed it up.

It’s that kind of guy I would show up again for.

Everyone please give Mike some gold here. It’s not easy to do what he did.

I did that one time also man. It was terrible. That sinking feeling in your stomach when you know what happened. I recovered. You will also.

This week I had a really profound experience of progress.

I looked through my journal from last year and at around this time (a year ago) I was just getting into guitar and business. Back then I found it impossible to make money on my own without a job. I also told a friend that the one thing I want to do before death is play the guitar solo from valley of the damned by dragonforce (it seemed so incredibly far away and impossible to do and I love the solo).

This week I archived both of these thing younger me tough was impossible. I made about 230€ and 150 of that as "online income". I also played that solo and the whole song for some people. My mom was there and she really didn't expect me to play the solo. Seeing her face drop was funny.

The actually lesson is a different one however. The solo is, when done 90% accurately and with a few variations, waaaay easier than it looks or sounds. Making money with a business, when trading time for money is also way easier than it seems.
Right now it seems mad to be making thousands each month and to have a real business. Probably next year, I will be there and think "man this is not hard but having a franchise with tens of locations is (ambiguous word here)".

Also there is the point that both of these things don't help me find a girlfriend, even though I believed they would. Like how can a girl not instantly fall in love with me, when I am making a few hundred a month from my own business and able to play a 3 minute long technical show off guitar solo?

Guys do you have a recommendation for sportscars suitable for small people?

Why am I asking? My grandma is a car lover and I had the idea of renting a sportscar for her as a gift. I talked to her a bit and was going to book a day with a r8 but she said she can't really reach the pedals in that car. (She's about 1,50m tall).

What are some other cool options I could get her?

I should start doing this. My wife is the worst for this. She is addicted to this mental hot sauce that isn't easy to get our hands on, so I usually buy like 3 bottles at a time. She can be down to the last drop on the last bottle and then cries about how it is empty. Well tell me when you are on your last BOTTLE and I will get you 3 more! Don't tell me when you are on your last drop.

Same goes for TP, shampoo/conditioner, dish soap, bread... Actually same goes for everything lol.

View attachment 48305

Ha I just had a chat with my wife today about this.

"Uh oh...we are out of olive oil"

We had this massive drum of it that we picked up in Italy over the winter - probably like a full month where she could tell it was low. But waited till the last drop was out and half way through making a salad haha.

Not baller enough… but I like your thinking.

Now that my turn is coming up for the new RR, I’ve checked out a few more cars. BMW just came out with XM. WTF happened to BMW brand? Some of the most hideous cars on the planet.

Look at this flagship XM…

ChatGPT makes market research so easy. There are marble factories in our city and I thought why not go there and see where can I add or arbitrage value? Turns out my bike was almost out of fuel, so I explored the countryside. I saw there was a small dump of marble waste every 200 meters.

I also saw some walls using those uneven marble rocks to make walls and a house! Although the house wasn't finished so I got to see there were so many cracks in the walls made of marble pieces. I was amazed that it was the only house in the 3 km radius that was entirely built out of marble.

Anyway today I sat down to have a convo with ChatGPT. One thing led to another, and I ended up exploring marble slurry. That thing led to marble plasters (marble slurry + cement), which led to venetian plasters and trowels. I tried seeing data for my country on how many venetian plaster trowels are sold here. No data I guess. I've never heard of them so its a new thing for me.

Although if I do figure out a way to recycle that marble waste into something that people want, that's a CENTS business right there.

Took me around 4-5 hours to do all this research.

Touching on a journey I’m embarking on. I find this incredibly inspiring.

If you can go 48 hours without food… You can be any weight you want.

I’ve already gone 48 hours several times now.

That's awesome @Kak !

It's interesting how the first day of fasting goes: you go to bed ravenously hungry, and you wake up with 0 hunger but with maximum happiness and mental clarity.

There’s also enormous health benefits to fasting we don’t need to get into.
Yeah.

Such as curing cancer.

No big deal. ;)

Mark my words: Fasting-induced autophagy is going to be the future of medicine, and will extend the human life-span and health-span by another 20 years.

Looking forward to celebrating my 100th year old birthday on the fastlane forum, while squatting 400 pounds and having $1bn in my bank account.

I agree.

With the rate I’m losing weight though, I’m going to wish I was fatter so I could do this more.

Anticipating a move from large shirts to medium and 36 inch waist to 32.

I’m combining with weight lifting to keep and even build additional muscle mass.

I’ll be in better shape than any time of my life in a few months and I’ll have the recipe to keep it off.

I started my first facebook ad campaign today and I am scared. Why?

I dont care that I might loose money. But I do dread getting like 5 calls and then having to go out and clean windows again. Yes I need to hire people. No I cant do it yet because the finanzamt has not sent me my tax number yet which means I cannot sign work contracts.

I never believed it but fear of success is a real thing.

Just a friendly reminder that an alarming number of people wanted to muzzle you, lock you in your home, and jam needles in your arm by force a few short years ago…

Voices for freedom, like mine, were dismissed and shamed. We. Were. Right.

The tyrants want to pretend like that didn’t happen.

I remember. It was exactly the people you’d expect.
Those same ones who did it are literally now saying that they did not do it and are saying it was just a recommendation and if you stayed home and closed your business it was up to you.

Clown world indeed.

Before His Killing, Tech Executive Bob Lee Led an Underground Life of Sex and Drugs

There's a lot of demons behind these activities (alcohol, drugs, negative emotions like anger and sex et. al.). I've been there before and have seen it first hand. I wasn't born yesterday. Don't do it and don't let anyone do it. It never ends well.

You will damage yourself and you will damage those close to you.

You should always strive for morality and goodness. It will come back to haunt you.

Well? Do share? These are YT Thumbnails that perform well?

Let me guess? The stupid shocked face?

There was a lot to it but a huge part of it is to quickly get your brain to stop and be curious.

What is really interesting is that top Youtubers often stage their whole thumbnail.
Like in this slide below, both thumbnails have nothing from their actual videos. (fully staged)

They just know these images work the best, so they use them - and then the video contains different content.
But.. you have to then deliver on the promise so people feel the click was worth it.

1684347147693.png

A large part of a video doing well is just the title and the thumbnail.
