Just Registered a Graphic & Web Design Business in Australia (and got our first client!!)

Hi all,

Lovely to be here this fine morning (8:11 am as of beginning this post) Wednesday, 3rd of August. I'm particularly enthused that I was approved for The Fast Lane Forum so quickly (definitely fast!) and I am here to offer some insight and gain knowledge upon the establishment of my new business in Newcastle NSW, Australia offering Web & Graphic Design, Photography, Film & Video, SEO, SMO etc.

Now I know what a lot of you are thinking (this 21 yo kid must be crazy) especially in relation to jumping into a market saturated by tons of competitors. Now, I can assure you I am very aware of the opposition but that does not at all budge my motivation. My father always iterated "Its not what you do, its how you do it!", which to me implies don't focus on what others do but stay focused on doing a good job and improving your work for yourself and others!

We have so far got one client in for Graphic Design, Web Design & Vistaprinting which is a good kick start for the creative team that we only officially registered yesterday.

This is definitely 100% possible on your own, (with aff. marketing, offering freelance services etc as I have done in the past) but I firmly believe in working interdependently with others to achieve a greater result. Its more efficient as you have others to manage other aspects of the business whilst you focus on doing what you do best.

In my specific case, I've been fortunate to forge together a strong squad of mates and colleagues that are here to support the continuation and ongoing improvement of our business. Its amazing how the roles seemed to come clear to us as we progressed into the early stages of adulthood. Anyway, I believe by effectively working together with others, everything becomes much more streamlined as each of us improve the skills and abilities in our department.

This is the team so far; Leigh my partner handles Social Media Marketing, Roman my friend with a Diploma of Graphic design handles obviously, Graphics, my long time colleague and friend Jack who I met at Telesales cold calls like a beast, I design the sites, do SEO, odd film & photography whilst our brilliant Creative Consultant Cassidy is behind team building, motivation and conceptualising new ideas.

Together we aim to take over our local niche area in Australia to smash the competition out of the water. We believe this is going to be quite the adventure and we will be here on the Fast Lane to document our experience.

We so far have one client whom is very excited to be working with us. Mark who owns a building business named Eyes for Detail. We are designing graphics currently, then moving onto a website, afterwards vista printing then hopefully cross sell him a monthly SEO, SMO plan for ongoing monthly revenue. We also have our own hosting and domain reselling platform too which will acquire yearly plans and annual revenue.

The challenge is here and its up to us to project it.
