UNSCRIPTED: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Entrepreneurship

Ladies and gentlemen,

After a long writing process, I'm happy to say that my next book will be tentatively released on May 23rd, 2017. This is a soft announcement.

Official pre-order and pre-release announcements will come several months before.

Writing this book was very difficult for me because I had to write it for two very different audiences: 1) A TMF reader already familiar with "Fastlane" and 2) A reader unfamiliar with TMF . This made the book about 20% larger than I wanted (it's over 400 pages).

UNSCRIPTED advances and expands on my first book, the Millionaire Fastlane . It takes a holistic, life approach toward this beautiful thing we call entrepreneurship. UNSCRIPTED is not about creating a career-- it's about creating a unique existence. It's not about building a business-- it's about building a life.

Am I the only one who thinks that the covers suck???

Obviously 'unlock' and 'unleash' have been chosen, because they start with un- and not because they will create the right impact. It would make sense if the invisible script was 'revealed' not unlocked and the 'unleashing of the dream' looks like a premature ejaculation.

The happy flying man suggests an 'event' that will deliver instant happiness.

The subtitle is maybe more relatable to american audience, but seems pretty random.

Television is probably getting a bit outdated. Maybe it's just a sign of having a poor social life, but I really don't know anybody personally who turns to mindless television often if ever. When you think about it someone who does have such a habit probably doesn't realise that they have a problem and will not give a F*ck about this book.
The middle paragraph is kinda lame. Maybe it would be better if it went:
"Ever since you've been old enough to sit obediently in a classroom, you have been culturally engineered for servitude, unwittingly enslaved into a Machiavellian system where illusionary rules go unchallenged, sanctified traditions go unquestioned, and lifelong dreams go unfulfilled.Your life got hijacked before you even got started, and it is not just you. The system leaves people marginalized down to debt, despair, and dependence. Their mundane and trivial life auto-repeats, fun fades and dreams die."

P.S. I don't claim any expertise. I am just an idiot who thinks his opinion is important.

Sometimes opinions are terrific when people ask for feedback. Sometimes you would be better off to keep your thoughts to yourself. This likely would've been one of those times.

I know tons, tons of people who are the perfect targets for this book (engineers, chemists, medical professionals, etc. making $70,000-175,000/yr but working themselves to death and unsure of how to catch a break except to retire), who watch hours of TV a week. They have spouses, kids, and lots of friends. Maybe they don't do it on a TV, maybe it's on an iPad or a monitor or a phone, but consider that 23,000,000 people have watched Game of Thrones alone. Millions watched Stranger Things. It's not outdated. If you'd been at Best Buy during the holidays and seen the steady stream of big-screens filing out the door, you'd realize that.

Can't wait to read this - I am seriously hyped. Well done MJ - must be a great feeling to have it finally up.

This is a cool topic that is very complimentary to the first book while still having its own unique feel.

I know you didn't do this book but how long did it take to record the previous book? Must take a few weeks.

It took me 9 months using the good 'ole DIY way ...this time I said "no way" and paid the piper to have it done professionally. I wasn't going to go through that ordeal again.

While I really wanted to narrate again, that would have stretched out the process from 45 days to months.

Now it should be available by release date, or just slightly thereafter.

Depends on international distribution. I think worse case, you'll be able to buy it at Amazon UK, or the international book store BookDepository.

Yes, that will probably be pre-release.

I know it might be fairly difficult and time consuming, but are you able to offer direct sales with signatures to members?

I buy most of my books in e-book format now, and if this if offered that way I will do the same. However, I would love to read a physical version, having a signature would make it all that much more special.

you wont be reading the audio version yourself because it was one of the things that made TMFL audibook stand out from all the others.

The guy who's reading it did a real good job in mimicking my energy and inflection. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Right now it can be pre-ordered on Amazon as the page was just put up a few days ago.

I haven't officially announced it yet, so people are finding it on their own, and probably through linkage to TMF .

Oh wow, I can't wait to read this! I knew the release was coming up, but I didn't realize it was this close. You know, I think I read and/or listened to the Millionaire Fastlane at least five or six times? I have it on Kindle and on audiobook, and maybe even a paperback, too. It was seriously one of the best books I've ever read.

And now there's something new. Whooohooo!

I started reading your new book yesterday. I rarely get so excited about a book. Your writing style is even better and punchier than in TMF. I absolutely agree with your thoughts and observations that people following the script would call "controversial" (LOL, and it's not controversial to sell your soul and blindly follow the herd).

Just scheduled a broadcast to my newsletter list of 14,000+ people to promote your book. Some of them might get pissed or offended, but your book's message is too important not to spread it. You should get a few dozen more sales today.

You know MJ has a good brand when I didn't even look at the cover until I saw people here arguing about it. Never occurred to me to look at the package, because I'm amped to tear it open and find out what's inside.
