I started a progress thread a year ago, but as most others, i didn't stick with it.
But i haven't given up the business.
A bit of context:
Almost two years ago, i started helping local businesses with Google Ads. I failed many times (got fired twice) but managed to keep going.
I have changed routes a few times, i tried web design, saas and ecommerce, but always returned to Google Ads.
I now earn around $1000/month helping two clients with Google Ads.
I'm still stuck with small, dead-end web-design clients that pay little and demand much. I will be done with those, and focus on Google Ads.
I regret changing routes. If i'd stuck with Google Ads, i'd be way further along by now. I learned that the hard way.
My current goal is $3000 profit by the time i turn 18 (febuary 2026). I will have to tripple my business in 4 months.
I am writing this thread to keep myself on track. I often lose hope and look for "easier routes."
Not this time.
My current strategy involves cold emails and cold calls. I find it works great, and i'm able to book a few meeting a week - when i consistently outreach.
I struggle to stay consistent with the outreach. It's the only thing keeping me from scaling.
The emails by themselves don't do good, but when i call businesses the next day, they often want a chat.
I can't cold call this week as i am practicing as an electrician. When i return to school, i can go all-in again.
Goals for this week:
- Find 15x valuable leads every day, who i will reach out to the week after.
- Keep improving exsisting Google Ads clients.
- Ask clients for refferals.
I will give weekly updates on my progress and what i learn.
If i do not succeed with this, i will have to take an apprenticeship as an electrician. That is 2,5 years with minimal pay and grueling work that i hate.
So my ultimate goal for next year is to earn enough to life of my business and travel where i want to.
