A picture is worth a thousand words, so let’s start with a picture of this $20 million mega-mansion.

This opulent house is meticulously built with every conceivable luxury: imported stone, marble, and a seamless home automation system that lets you live like a modern-day king. Even if you don't like it or it isn't your style, the house remains a valuable asset worth $20M in the retail market. The house is the ultimate result.
But then, you discover something interesting about the house’s construction.
The contractors didn't use the expensive, name-brand tools you'd expect. Nope. They built the entire thing with Ryobi power tools—yep, the entry-level stuff from Home Depot. Furthermore, the contractors built much of the house using AI, robotics, and automation: the complex framing was finished in three days instead of the usual twenty-eight, and the interior finishes were sprayed on and done in a six-hour blitz.
Now, tell me this: What fool would suddenly look at this $20M asset (like it or not) and scream, "AI! That house is now only worth $1 Million!"
The answer, of course, is no one. And here’s why that matters...
We live in a results-based, outcome-driven world.
Results sell.
Cash flow sells.
Value sells.
Solutions sell.
Entertainment sells.
The harsh truth is, the world doesn't give two shits about how their problems are solved. They only care about the solution itself and how it works for them.
Does a diner ask the chef what kind of spatula he used? His oven? No, he only cares about how the food tastes. As cooks, sometimes we care, and care too much to our own detriment.
I bring this up because, like a broken clock that's right twice a day, we once again have the noise of the peanut gallery claiming that NOTHING built with AI has any intrinsic value.
I was recently talking about how impressed I was with Lovable (an app and website builder), and like a Pavlovian dog, some keyboard warrior chimed in with their grand opinion: "No serious, scalable app is built with Lovable."
Okay, champ. And that $20M mansion is now only worth $1M. You see the sheer absurdity of the argument?
“No Fastlane business can be built with WordPress!” they whined. "Commandment of Control!" they argued! While this is generally true from a long view perspective, Control can be negated when it comes to early adoption.
Countless businesses were built on that "glorified blogging platform" that have been bought and sold for billions. Heck, bloggers made millions in a small window. FBA Amazon sellers made millions in a small window. The tools were less important than the open window and the outcome it enabled. The results spoke for themselves.
Now, the same broken record is playing:
"Oh, you can't make a Fastlane business with Lovable."
"Oh, you can't make a Fastlane business using an AI wrapper."
"Oh, blah, blah, some other bullshit."
My response?
YES, YOU F*CKING CAN.
As someone in the forum eloquently pointed out,
Listen to this email I received last week. It perfectly sums up the stubbornness—and the eventual epiphany—of the late-comer:
It makes no difference to me which path you choose, or ignore. You can be the one emailing me in two years about how you conquered your fear and changed your life, or you can be the sorry sap on Reddit complaining about how AI took your job.
Your choice. Your move. Your life.

The Market Doesn't Care How the Sausage is Made, Only How It Tastes...
Markets are incredibly simple. It cares about what is served and how it tastes, not the $10 wrench used to fix the oven. The harsh truth is, the world doesn't give two shits about how their problems are solved. They only care about the solution itself and how it works for them.

History Always Repeats for the Stubborn, the Ignorant, and the Financially Doomed
This is the exact same, stubborn argument I heard fifteen years ago with WordPress.“No Fastlane business can be built with WordPress!” they whined. "Commandment of Control!" they argued! While this is generally true from a long view perspective, Control can be negated when it comes to early adoption.
Countless businesses were built on that "glorified blogging platform" that have been bought and sold for billions. Heck, bloggers made millions in a small window. The Window is Here (But It Has a Limited Life)
That window of opportunity for leveraging these new tools is here, right now, but it's only open for a few precious years. Just like blogging, just like Amazon FBA, just like early adopting podcasters, just like those self-publishers in 2015.As someone in the forum eloquently pointed out,
Want to doubt this old man? Do so at your own financial peril. You can cook for yourself, but we still need restaurants. You can paint a room yourself, but we still need painters. You can create headshots with NanoBanana AI yourself, but there is still a massive market need for NanoBanana API wrappers that automate that stuff for businesses at scale. You can create blog posts with ChatGPT, but there is still a need for ChatGPT API wrappers that automate content creation for thousands of niche sites. And so on.
Listen to this email I received last week. It perfectly sums up the stubbornness—and the eventual epiphany—of the late-comer:
MJ I'm gonna be honest, I thought you were just selling smoke with "AI is the future"... No offense but I said "this old man is just impressed about how fancy new tech is and big news another person that discovers that ChatGPT is kinda useful for small tasks..." then I see reports and articles like "the AI bubble is here" and yada yada yada.
But I just tried Lovable and Sora 2 for the first time, and Oh man, I owe you a HUGE apology. You're right, AI is f**king impressive and each month is getting better and better. I cannot imagine 5 years from now. Like I can create any tool that's in my head in 60 seconds with zero coding knowledge and totally free. This is what real magic feels like.
I was hesitant because I was stubborn thinking "I don't have any idea about coding, technology, APIs, Design" I'm dumb AF... I cannot profit from AI like Bitcoin in 2008. This is not for me, I'm gonna wait for the next big thing.
But now I get it, I don't even need that knowledge in order to profit from this (which is insane how low the barrier entry is and people are missing out, yes I was one of them).
I'm starting to get familiar and build stuff around AI, because If I don't I'm gonna be replaced by a tool that another idiot built when I was doing nothing productive with my life.
For those who are like me "Oh but that idea is already made", the tool I just built it's way better than all the tools in the current market (from my niche). How do I know this? Because I used them and I know what I hated from those tools, and told the AI to fix them on my prototype.
It makes no difference to me which path you choose, or ignore. You can be the one emailing me in two years about how you conquered your fear and changed your life, or you can be the sorry sap on Reddit complaining about how AI took your job.
Your choice. Your move. Your life.
