Hey all,

I know I am not active on the forums much, but I have to thank @Fox and @MJ DeMarco. I was able to snag my very first client for my web design business for a new website and SEO services.

It seems that my personal network needs help with Web Design and SEO services. It's a portfolio project for now, I'll keep you updated with more information on how this goes ad changes. It might become a paid project as well, so who knows.

Thanks,
Zackery.

Idea & Background: Second-Specialized Unit - Creating a Freelance Web Design Business.

Okay, I'll use this thread to start the process again and start a Web Design freelance business outside of my IT Contract. I placed a request to replace a credit card with a limit of $300 dollars. I will use this to fund the ad budget and set it to $20 dollars a day, I'll re-create the campaign using both the Facebook & Instagram Platforms and post the results on this thread. Roughly $20 dollars will get you 2 leads, 5 days a week, that's 10 potential opportunities or 40 in a month. After my layoff, I have been an IT Contractor going on now 1 year and 6 months. I have been grateful to be employed this full year from March 2024 til now. I am now looking to make the switch to do something on my own.

Goals (Sales):
1. $500
2. $1,000
3. $2,000
4. $3,000
5. $4,000
5. $6,000

Business Goals (Figuring out atm):
1. To create a freelance Web Design Business that has generated $15,000 in profit after taxes to help payoff the $13,000 dollars with of debt left.
2. To create a 3-month emergency fund of $6,200 after the following above is achieved.
3. Find 2 business owners to create portfolio websites. I have one in flight that I created back in 2023 that has generated over $10,000 in sales from a German Schmear mortar business that paints a white-looking color over old red brick and stone.

Process (Finding Clients):
Coming soon.

Prospect Outreach Process:
1. Send initial email & text from information gathered.
2. If prospect replies, setup Initial Call/Sales conversation.
-A: Call prospect to follow up based on reply and setup a sales call (when they are available).
3. Perform Sales Call.

Nextdoor could be interesting, I remember a guy was posting about how he was doing pretty well off an ad about landing pages (or 1 page websites? can't remember) for a $98/mth subscription from templates. Some appear to be tire kickers and ask for price first versus actually getting on a sales call to identify problem. I try to schedule a sales call to figure out the problems they are having. The Turo business seemed to be very promising, but looked like he has updated his website on his own.

2. The more your willing to spend daily, the more leads FB will generate (assuming the offer is really good to the business owner)

3. Adding more targeted interests expands the total amount of people who can see your AD.

4. Cold calling appears to be the best outreach channel to follow up on the leads you've generated.

5. Probably should tweak the offer and/or image to convert more people and achieve a better CTR out of the 800 that has seen my ad to generate more potential opportunities.

I filed an extension in 2023 to pay them in October of that year, but never filed until 3 years later. Learned one thing, if you ever need help, don't be afraid to ask questions. On a payment plan to pay off the taxes, should be able pay the entire thing here in the next month or so. Filed 2024, got a refund back.
