Couldn't have agreed more! Success is definitely based on experiences, adjusting and re-trying. It's a thought that should drive you to create opportunities for yourself. Everyone should apply seasons to there lives just as nature itself has seasons. Winter- Contemplate/formulate new ideas. Spring- Implement the new ideas/start them. Summer- Work hard on making sure your labor is baring fruits. Fall- Enjoy the fruits of your labor.

And here's another important point...

Even after reaching #35 (SUCCESS!) the process starts ALL over again.

Except next time, it might not be 35 steps long, but only 12 steps long. The fact is, no one has a 100% success rate. Even the VC billionaires don't succeed 100% of the time (if they did, ALL of their investments would make fortunes and go public) -- they endure the same process, albeit their learning curve is much shorter.
The next time the process gets shorter(12 steps instead of 35) as you get more experienced.

Building on your example, the process would also be longer than 35 steps for some people.

In your opinion, what is the difference between two people with zero experience starting from step 1(read the book) and one person's journey ends at step 35(Success) while the other at step 70?

My guess would be knowledge, experience, focus, and productivity.

Sounds like my last week of day trading.

I step 3ed by fooling myself there was going to be a cool summary of actual steps (I'll admit it - but seriously...have you learned anything here Bill?! - sigh), instead I got a good old fashion 4ing.

But did you learn anything in the process?

Yep, that's what a "4ing" is. Step 4 is learn.
Yeah, my bad. I'm on my phone and for some reason I thought it went:

1. Read book
2. Act
3. Fail
4. Act
5. Fail

Lol silly me.

I could've sworn there were actually 67 steps to success...
Darn, you're right! As such, I've modified the thread and the title to reflect the 67 steps.

We see it here all the time here at Fastlane. Someone posts a success story or a personal break through, and like clockwork, someone always asks "what exactly did you do? I mean like, tell me the EXACT steps!"

How do I succeed? How do I make millions?! How do I X, Y, and Z?

Well by popular demand, I give you the exact steps!

Here we go:

The Exact Steps For Entrepreneurial Success!
  1. Read the book, get excited and post forum declaration about making $10M in the next 10 months!
  2. Act.
  3. Fail.
  4. Learn.

  67. Succeed!
And the beauty of these EXACT STEPS? They also will tell you EXACTLY where you will fail! Take a look at STEP 3.

That is the place where most people make failure permanent.

STEP 3 is also the final destination for people who say "I gonna give this FASTLANE thing a try!"

Oh really? Going to the gym ONCE ain't gonna make you a fitness model!

<OFF RANT!>

I am at step 35. Now I just need to fail other 7 times!

I know you modified the steps to 67.. but I think, and I am not kidding it was closer step 87 for my really big success.

Also keep going if you love it. Relax if you don't.

Sorry but my programmer brain had the urge to add some optimizations
Should push to an array so we can know which iteration we're on. :D

Which shopping cart should I use for step 38?

Also, what if they don't have the right color Ferrarri when I'm ready to buy?
