Hello everyone!

My name’s Joe, I’m 37 years old and I’m currently living in London, U.K. (but moving soon - more on this in a bit). I currently run a freelance digital agency, specialising in web design/development whilst offering other services, but as it stands it seems much more of a hobby than an actual business on account of me working full-time as a shift worker.

However, as my place of employment is facing closure in the near future, my family and I have decided to move out of London and having subscribed to the slow lane philosophy for far too long I’ve decided it’s time to move into the Fastlane, especially since reading MJ’s incredible book.

The Millionaire Fastlane really lit a fire underneath me in order to give my business a jolt and start building it into something productive and, above all else, helpful to others. After being recommended it by Rob O’Rourke (whose course, the Fox Web School, I’m currently eyeing up in order to build upon my skills), it was great to see how its principles could apply to my own journey. Reading it led me to this forum where I am looking forward to connecting with and learning from my fellow entrepreneurs.

So, I just wanted to say a quick hello and thank you for accepting me into this community. It’s going to be fantastic getting to know you all.

Hi Joe, good to have you with us.

Do you have any business in mind? Freelancing but with a new approach? Scaling by outsourcing the webdesign and focusing on prospection and customer relationship?

Do not hesitate to share your journey in a dedicated thread!

Hi Kiwi, thanks for the warm welcome.

So for now I mainly focus on web design and development with a bit of on- and off-page SEO and have managed some successful results for a client whose business started last year and has seen growth due to the visibility of their website on Google, Bing etc., so with that in mind I've been thinking of scaling by offering more services such as branding and copywriting and outsourcing these so I can focus more on prospection.

The client who has seen the most growth actually lives where I'll be moving to so I already have an established (albeit small) base with which to show my value. I'm hoping to leverage this into more opportunities once I'm settled in as I want to hit the ground running, so to speak, and will eventually focus more on customer relationship with local businesses and startups. Thankfully I'll be in a position where I can really put in the hours into the business to really make it grow.

I'm thinking of sharing my journey in a couple of months so I can utilise the principles from TMF and show the community what's working for me. I hope you'll give it a read!

I only did a couple of websites for people before, so I'm far from your level of experience. But I'm convinced that focusing on services like maintenance, SEO, ads, etc. alongside webdesign itself is a good long term strategy.

Have a look on this thread where @jbfuller shares his success about his agency. He managed to secure thousands of passive income through long term subscription plans.

I hope you'll give it a read!

Can't wait for this!
