Listening to the podcast turned this July 4th into Day Zero. Then listen to the dozen podcasts which says specifically not to change anything.
Guys if you are jumping on the thread without listening to any of the podcasts then your advice is going to be way off. The main point of this challenge is you don’t change or adjust ANY of the rules and you follow everything 100%.
This isn’t a fitness challenge - it’s a discipline challenge. Changing things automatically means you broke the rules = you 100% fail.
Everyone is free to do whatever they want but don’t try talk about a modified challenge in this thread - it isn’t 75 hard and anyone doing the challenge for real is just going to ignore it anyway.
It’s one gallon of water a day.
No more posts on “can I” modifying anything - it’s very very clear you can’t if you listened to the podcasts on this challenge.
Workouts outdoors are easy during Maine summers, and not too hard in winter when it's a twenty-year practice.
But starting 75Hard in Maine in mid-summer and passing up 100 local microbrews, homemade wine, bloodies and G & T around boating will be a bad, bad time, much harder than daybreak seaside workouts at 15F in January. A blizzard, on snowshoes, woul be easier than passing up an offshore Bloody Mary. It cuts. Picnics with a sweetheart who wants to drink pear wine. God help me.
Because of stubborn, primitive daring and pride the subfreezing physical challenges are to live for.
But no alcohol in Maine in the summer is like temporarily amputating a limb.
Bring it. I'm all in.
That rule will make life hell. So it's the one that matters most of.
Brews and campfire, a glass of rye under sail power, wine and song, goodbye to all.
No further questions.
Bring it!
