Call for Speakers, 2016 Fastlane Summit (Taking subs now!)

This is an official call for speakers for the 2016 Fastlane Summit to be held at the Talking Stick Resort and Casino on February 19th, 20th, and 21st!!

We're looking for entrepreneurs and forum contributors who can speak on any of the following subject matter:

1) Entrepreneurship (duh!)
2) Motivation, mindset, brain hacks
3) Startup processes: Funding, idea generation, validation, growth, etc.
4) Real estate investment, residency strategies, etc.
5) Life hacking
6) Marketing, sales, copy, advertising channels
7) Social media
8) Investing, taxes, etc.
9) Branding, channels, conversion optimization
10) Anything pertinent to a group of self-sufficient entrepreneurs

Aim to speak for 30-45 minutes.

Also, as a speaker attending the conference you are guaranteed a ticket and get half off the ticket price. Depending on the budgets (and how many rooms sell) we might throw in some additional perks as well.

To be considered, simply submit a one-page synopsis of your proposed presentation to FastlaneMeetup2015@gmail.com before 12AM Monday morning.

I just want to mention that presentations should be informative. This is not an opportunity to sell someone on your coaching program, your seminars, or whatever else you might have going. This happened a few years back and it was, lets just say, very upsetting. People will be attending the conference and paying to learn something new and insightful, not to be upsold on something. I can guarantee, if you provide immense value, you won't have any problem having a rabid interest in people wanting to know more about what you do.

Yes, we hope to have enough by then but for those coming later than this, feel free to submit. We can never have enough ideas and unfortunately, some speakers end up missing due to unforeseen circumstances. Last year a snowstorm killed a few topics.

“It was 4PM in Hong Kong, and we found ourselves in a dimly lit, smoke filled conference room at the Grande Group’s corporate offices. We had taken yet another break as negotiations stalled, and the slowing ember of my cigarette marked the passage of time. It was 4AM back in the states, and having come directly from the airport to this charade of a negotiation, we were short on food, short on sleep, and short on patience. It seemed every time the Asians left the room, they adjusted the air conditioning up several degrees more. The cheap tie I was wearing felt like a noose around my exasperated, throbbing neck.

Grande had no idea that in less than 72 hours, we had televisions rolling off of production lines at Samsung in Korea bearing the Akai logo that Grande owned. We were keeping negotiations on life support, and Grande didn’t know we held a complete bluff hand. Several million dollars were committed to the project, and the world’s largest retailer back in the United States was waiting on merchandise for a brand that didn’t exist.

We had no choice but to win the negotiation of a lifetime, as Frankenstein was about to come to life at Samsung and there was nothing we could have done to stop production at that time. With thick faces and black hearts, we had to get a deal done. We had the weak hand.

I lit another stick and poured another glass of warm whiskey from the decanter on the conference table... and waited for our adversary to return for the final round.”

I can't wait for this event. Last year was epic for me, but this year will be even better.

It will be like getting the band back together again. Looking forward to meeting the people who weren't able to make it last year (looking at you @Vigilante and @eliquid ), and making new friends and business partners.

PS: I've already booked my hotel...but that doesn't mean I'm not going to crash at @Eskil 's house for a few days...you better batten down the hatches my friend...cuz I'm coming to stay for a few days .

Thanks to @MJ DeMarco, @Travis Phipps , and others who have suggested I come this year though.

However, I have a trip the week before this event and I can't miss it at all and doing back to back trips in the same week is just something I don't do anymore because of the wife and kids ( who want to tag along ).

There is a possibility that I could actually come, but I would be making the choice last minute on my end. Since this event sells out the same day it goes live though months ahead of time, there is no way that if I did come I could get inside the casino with you all and listen or participate.

Not unless you all would allow me to simply walk in, hand over my $300-$400 in cash for day of event ticket, and join in the day of if I do come.

I'll keep you informed. I know that not everyone that buys a ticket now will be actually going. So I'll have to play by ear.

We should be notifying speakers this weekend that have either been selected or chosen as an alternate. Anyone who submitted will get an email. Alternates come into play if a chosen speaker cannot attend suddenly, does not purchase, etc. Alternates who ultimately speak will get 1/2 their ticket refunded.
