Hello not sure if this is the right forum to post this but I am having trouble with my alerts working on this thread.( would like a ticket for summit.) Anyways I subscribed to the thread and I open the email when it comes in, but I notice there have been 5 or 6 posts and I have only received an alert for one. Hate to miss ticket announcement. Is anyone else having this problem?

I think you have to read all the new messages while signed in before you'll get another email alert.

I can confirm that I am still not receiving alerts for this thread. I have even unwatched and watched again to make sure the email notifications are selected and still maybe get 1 out of 10. @MJ DeMarco - what are we doing wrong?

I'm not really sure. If there's something wrong with the software, it's not something I can readily fix.

I'm thinking if you visit the thread, it cancels the email. Doesn't look like the emails are instantaneous, more like cycled every X hours.

This is just my experience, so YMMV, but with my combination of Firefox for a browser, and Gmail for my email platform, I get an email pretty much instantly when the first new post is made to the thread.

When I then go visit the thread, I need to make sure that I've scrolled all the way down to the bottom of the last page where the newest post is visible, and then keep that on the screen for a few seconds. I found for me, my browser needs a little time to post a message back to the server letting it know that I've seen the most recent post.

Once that happens, then the notifications are reset, and I'll again get an email the first time someone makes a new post to the thread. Hope that helps.

You're not going to miss out because you went 24 hours without checking the forum. We learned from last year how to improve our processes & this is one of the ways, so please don't stress about getting a ticket folks. We got you.
