I'm going into " Addicted to failure " mode and looking forward to turn my ideas into actions.

What I did
- 10years of bodybuilding
- Youtube channel (3M views + 19k subs)
- Porn blog (wasn't consistent with the content)
- Men's blog (not profitable)
- Sports betting (win some, lose some)
- Actually on a corporate 9-5 job

Things on my mind for the next year
- " How to make money " niche blog - Its not a thing here, weak competition. This one is my main idea for the next year as I have a business management degree and could sell some financial services on the side.

- Get back on the fitness/bodybuilding niche with a website, YT channel and build a brand around my name. High risk here as it is a crowded market.

- Small things like Fiverr gigs, Online Courses, Fashion Brand, Poker, Forex, Stocks...These are on my mind but I don't see the potential live the fastlane through them.

I'm really struggling to find a idea to focus on, I've tried to look around for a problem to solve or something that can be improved but I don't find anything that I can fit the CENTS.

Your first issue is mindset. Stop chasing after money as it will always prove elusive. (Honestly chasing money just makes it run away and hide from you).

Your goal should be to forget about money and find some way to help as many people as possible. The money comes as a by-product.

I'm really struggling to find a idea to focus on, I've tried to look around for a problem to solve or something that can be improved but I don't find anything that I can fit the CENTS.

With a successful history of "Addicted to failure" I would't worry too much about meeting all the CENTS criteria. What you probably need right now is a win under your belt regardless of size. That will inspire confidence and take you on to bigger and better things. So pick something that doesn't fulfil the CENTS dream but you can get passionate about and focus in on it, as in move the needle forward EVERYDAY until it is successful.

It's not speed that will make it successful, it's probably not phenomenal execution either. What will make it a success is consistency, day in and day out. Putting up content regardless of having no readership. Perfecting a product that most people would find acceptable. Getting obsessive with the details. Learn that craft and do your best to perfect it. It will put you in a much better place.

While you are doing that you will more than likely hit a point where you see the wood from the trees and will be able to pivot your fledgling business into something bigger and closer to CENTS.

Also ask yourself why your previous ventures failed. There are a whole load of lessons to be learned right there.

Thanks a lot for the valuable reply!

Yes, I was chasing money until I've read the MF since then I've been looking for a problem to solve or what kind of value I could bring to the table. My main weakness is that I'm a jack of all trades but master of none. When I look back, the only thing I've been doing with consistency is hitting the gym but I was young and grew up without my parents to guide me so I needed to figure things outs by myself so this is why those previous enterprises failed, I didn't have the mindset about being accountable but now seems like I just woke from a dream and I want to find something to focus my drive, I just don't know what and there is this sense of urgency to just enjoy my life without sitting on a desk the whole day.

I know that sense of urgency can make you want to rush in but I would do whatever you can to quell it. I've been there and it never brings you any good (or success).

These things have a habit of working themselves out on their own. That's why I suggest you find something to focus on and build and let the worries about the BIG IDEA fade into the background. You will be surprised how it will show up when the time is right.

My main weakness is that I'm a jack of all trades but master of none.

Don't see that as a weakness but as a strength. A well rounded background that gives you a broader insight into the working of the world. It also puts you in a much better position to decide in which area you would like to focus your energies on to the point of mastery.

We have a wonderful collection of experts here from all walks of life. Copywriters, Facebook Marketing Pro's, Adword Experts, Novelists, ECommerce Masters, Brand Builders, Inventors, Importers, Investors in money markets, Real-estate Investors, etc. etc. etc.. Many would freely admit to being a jack of all trades at some point until they felt a calling to one particular field.

Take heart, you have a lot to be thankful for.

You don't see that as a problem? A "more of the same" answer to your past failures?

So, more of the same and another failure?

When are you going to provide value?
Solve a problem and make it go away?
Fix a pain point for a lot of people?

Have no ideas? Buy a business that is already started.
Have no money to buy a business? Hustle to get money
Don't know how to hustle? Focus today on turning $1 into $2 by providing value.

Before posting this, I went back to your OP......... looks like you have the same problem I see a LOT here and with people starting. You are trying to create a $10M company to start and using it as an excuse to give up and not work at all. Try creating a $10k company to start. JUST GET STARTED!

Once you are going, ideas will FLOW! @Greg R may have something to say here.

Thanks for the reply MJ !

I've just read your book last week and was a game changer for me. I know that I need to make a few adjustments on my mindset but I'm working on it.

Currently Im with my ears and eyes wide open in order to spot an opportunity or something to bring that internal flame but from now, I just couldn't find anything to work on. For the next days, I will invest my time on learning Forex Trading.

I won't lie to you as any young wantrepreneur my 1st dream was to find my pot of gold and work on it with all my drive and focus.
My illusions fell apart when I read the MF where MJ explain the Process/Event concept.

Since that I've been asking the same questions you put...

When are you going to provide value?
I really don't know what kind of value I could bring to the table.

Solve a problem and make it go away?
I've tried to look around, talk and ask people, listen to people, research on the internet but wasn't able to find any problem that I could provide a solution. Most of the little everyday problems are already covered and Im not a master at any subject.

Fix a pain point for a lot of people?
I've tried to build a public persona so I could build an online fitness brand around it but as you may think there are tons of people already doing it better than I could.

Have no ideas? Buy a business that is already started.- No money
Have no money to buy a business? Hustle to get money - Trying to find one
Don't know how to hustle? Focus today on turning $1 into $2 by providing value. - I can't think on anything that could be done online.

As you said, I just want to get started but its really hard when you are totally by yourself and without budget.

I was planning to invest on my fitness persona on Instagram but everybody is doing that. Now Im going to give a try on Forex Trading.

Will that help others? How will that help you?

Will that help others? If I become a profitable trader, I could create courses, seminars, websites and books teaching people on how to trade.

How will that help you? After the start phase struggle, I would be able to work from anywhere, online, without employees or physical products, I could plan my working hours, freedom and that little adrenaline rush everyday.

I already need to spend my whole day on a desk staring at charts, Forex would bring a reason to it and I'd learn a lot more about Global Markets, trends, economy and risk management...

That very sentence says you will fail.

Now I'm talking as someone who probably would fail as I don't know anything about it but I'm very disciplined and learn things fast. I can change this with some daily effort.

Since that I've been asking the same questions you put...

I really don't know what kind of value I could bring to the table.
This is too hard. I want it easy.

Solve a problem and make it go away?
I've tried to look around, talk and ask people, listen to people, research on the internet but wasn't able to find any problem that I could provide a solution. Most of the little everyday problems are already covered and Im not a master at any subject.
I have done nothing and really just want someone to do it for me.

Fix a pain point for a lot of people?
I've tried to build a public persona so I could build an online fitness brand around it but as you may think there are tons of people already doing it better than I could.
It got hard so I gave up.

Have no ideas? Buy a business that is already started.- No money. I like making excuses.
Have no money to buy a business? Hustle to get money - Trying to find one. If I was homeless and starving I would just lay in the corner and give up and die.
Don't know how to hustle? Focus today on turning $1 into $2 by providing value. - I can't think on anything that could be done online. I don't listen to advice and look for the easy way from the comfort of my room.

As you said, I just want to get started but its really hard when you are totally by yourself and without budget.

I have a defeatist mindset and give up easily.

I was planning to invest on my fitness persona on Instagram but everybody is doing that.

I provide no value and it will be too hard.

Now Im going to give a try on Forex Trading.

I am moving onto the next failure instead of looking for a pattern from all my previous failures and using that knowledge to direct my next path.

@raad182 read back through this thread. What is everyone telling you?
Two suggestions:
1. Go read @Get Right 's thread on getting out of your comfort zone. Do some of those exercises.
2. Find a way to buy something and sell it for more than you bought it for (hustle). Do not go to bed tonight until you have done so. Make it your sole focus of your entire existence. Nothing else enters your mind. Make it happen. Make $1.

And when that whiney excuse voice enters your head, tell it to F*ck off and get back to work.
'How can I' is your new mindset. Report back tomorrow.

Which book? And how? I'm hearing money chasing, event-modalities, and no focus on value attributes or value skew. Unscripted details how to incrementally skew value, you don't have to invent the next big thing.

Now Im going to give a try on Forex Trading.

Pardon my frustration.

I appreciate and thank you for reading my book, I'm assuming TMF .

But how on earth does someone read TMF , moreso Unscripted , and then come to the conclusion of "Forex"????

I don't know why you guys keep mention my " past failures ". I didn't consider any of my previous attempts as failures because at the time create things was just a fun thing to do on my free time.

Now is the 1st time in my life that Im looking to start a BUSINESS.

Sounds like Im trying to find the easy way out but I'm just trying to figure out what my options are.

I really like your challenge of reselling something for a profit but how that would help me? I'm not introvert and Im not bad at selling but I don't like to waste time either.

Of course I could buy something for $1 and sell for $2 but at the end of the day, what should I expect from that?

My goal is to create a passive income stream to make me at least $2k/month from what I've seen here its not that ambitious.

Nobody is trying to drag you down, I sincerely think this is worth a read for you:

GOLD! - Sorry, But the Forum Can't Make Your Life Decisions For You!!

Of course I could buy something for $1 and sell for $2 but at the end of the day, what should I expect from that?

Because if you can do that then you can buy 2 things for $1 and sell them for $4. Do the math, in a very short amount of time you will have learned how to make the $2,000/month that you seek.

It was TMF and the idea of trying Forex didn't came after the book. The book helped to understand what my main goal was and much more.
I can't think any other kind of " business " that...
- Could start with little money
- Could use a system
- Could work from anywhere online
- Flexible working hours
- No employees or physical structure
- Develop knowledge on data analysis, global trends, markets, currencies, economics, finance...so on.

Last year I've been drawing a plan towards becoming a fitness icon and generate a following on instagram and then engage on marketing, online courses and a fitness e-commerce but I've found out that its not something you can just plan.

With all respect but What kind of business would you try if you were on my place? Im asking to you because I don't have anyone around me to give this kind of advice.

- No money to invest (just created my 6-month emergency fund)
- 9-5 corporate job
- 27yo
- 10 years of bodybuilding but don't have a license to be a trainer
- Good with communication (speaking, writing, talking in public) English isnt my main language
- Business Management Degree
- Hate to deal with people but can fake it
- My friends often praise my courage and risk taking attitude.

Don't get me wrong, I would do it if wasn't my office job but Im trying to find something that I can do online.

Last year I even wrote a plan on flipping stuff like you mentioned, but I will keep it as an option. I gave myself until the end of this month to find a target and create a plan. Until now...

- Forex (researching)
- Reselling stuff gradually (flipping)

So if a bodybuilder further along the path than you told you to do 10 pushups and report back, would you question it?

Quit wasting time. Get to work.

- No money to invest (just created my 6-month emergency fund)
...what makes you think you need money?
- 9-5 corporate job
...so you have a safety net. good, that eliminates that excuse.
- 27yo
...so you should be past this 'ego' and 'always right' phase
- 10 years of bodybuilding but don't have a license to be a trainer
...limiting belief
- Good with communication (speaking, writing, talking in public) English isnt my main language
...terrible at listening
- Business Management Degree
...need to turn it back in or get the books back out and reread
- Hate to deal with people but can fake it
...finally some self awareness
- My friends often praise my courage and risk taking attitude.
...they obviously haven't seen this thread

With all respect but What kind of business would you try if you were on my place? Im asking to you because I don't have anyone around me to give this kind of advice.
You ARE MISSING THE POINT!
Just get started.

How are you going to get there if you won't even get in the car to go to the gym???

Time to put the fear, and the analysis paralysis, and the worry, and the hubris, and the 'can't's aside and JUST GET STARTED.

If your first reaction was to ask 'on what?' ..... scroll back to the top of this thread and read it out loud to yourself. Then go look in the mirror and ask the person staring back at you 'what the F*ck are you waiting on??'. Stop arguing and throwing your hands up and get to work.

Make $1 from something that is not your 9 to 5 and report back tomorrow. Get started. Now.

Fair enough.

Because my guess is that your biggest weakness is JUST GETTING STARTED.
Go do this task and you will be on the path of DOING instead of finding excuses.
You will begin to network. Opening your mind to possibilities. Opening up opportunities.

You are VERY blessed. You have business training, a safety net, and this forum.
You are VERY cursed. Your mindset limits you from greatness. You are afraid. You are too comfortable.

Putting you out there doing this will help you through the hardest part.
As a final nudge off the high dive, each person I have gotten to do this now has a growing, thriving business and is finding more opportunities every day.

Now, pretty please, go get F*cking started.

Now.

You hit hard man but thanks for the reality check.
Sounds like you know what you are talking about, I will give it a try next weekend. I will buy something for $1 and sell it for $2, lets see what I will gain from that.

And BTW, " Make $1 from something that is not your 9 to 5 " this is the goal here, I was just focusing on a higher number.

Thanks for the patience and your effort on trying to motivate a newbie to take action!

One more thing, my minds runs fast and I need to do things but I spent most of my days in front of a display. So just help me with three things if you can...

- After selling for $2, what's next?
- What should I do while I have loads of free time in front of a computer? I'm tired of reading books.
- What skills should I develop to grow as an entrepreneur?

Again, thank you!

Wow. I have 12 items on my to do list today. Each will take me approximately 1 hour.
My company is losing money every moment I am not selling.
Employees, customers, kids I coach .... all missing out.

I invest that time in a young man trying to get started.

He wants to wait until this weekend.
He's going to give it a 'try'.
Then asks for what's next after that.

F*ck me....

Other forum members are hitting me up to give up and quit wasting my time.
Here's the thing..... I am not doing this for @raad182. One year from now, he'll still be in that cube. Talking about 'trying' something.

My hope is that those coming behind us see this thread one day. They might be at the same point. They read @raad182 's posts and identify with him and where he is in his journey.

Then instead of 'trying', they F*cking go do something and get started.
If that is you, if you are getting started and have actually done something after reading this thread, PM me when you get to that point. I will be glad to help you.

I'm really struggling to find a idea to focus on, I've tried to look around for a problem to solve or something that can be improved but I don't find anything that I can fit the CENTS.
How about looking around to see if there’s anyone you can help?

Who can you help?

Who have you helped?

From your rep points, I see that you are a really good member here but Im not getting the overreaction. You are just making conclusions out of nowhere...

He wants to wait until this weekend. - My mother who lives 2000km away is coming to spend some days with me...This is why this lazy pal will wait until the weekend.
He's going to give it a 'try'... - What were you expecting to read?
Then asks for what's next after that... - I thought that you had some kind of road on your mind when you mentioned my 1st step. Something like " After selling a pen you could try sell that on comission or negotiate that so you can learn how to persuade and etc... "

But I got it, I need to learn how to put things on fire, to take massive action, to do something instead of planning.

The reason behind all my Why, Whats, When, Where, How is that Im trying to plan my year from the start so I can get a clear view of what is ahead.

Yesterday I couldn't sleep on how excited I was with the Forex idea just to find out today that I was daydreaming a bit and this is the thing I hate, not being able to focus on one thing and go with laser focus. I just want to know what are some real options for someone in my conditions, so I could analyze them and pick one.

But you and MJ already gave me the answer, this is something that I need to figure out by myself.

The over-reaction is intentional, to try to get you to take a step forward. You’ll thank @ZCP later for it.

You don’t need to take “massive action”.

You don’t need to analyse anything else.

You don’t need to view the year ahead.

You just need to take a small step and engage the market.

Study the three quotes in my signature. They’re my touchstones.

Pick a direction. Get started. Keep going.

Good provoking questions...

Who can you help? I often find myself giving gym advice or motivating people but 8/10 people who asks some kind of advice is related to the gym life.

Who have you helped? I have one video teaching people how to get abs (+1M views) and another one on how to build muscle (~900k views) but this was yearsss ago. These were by far the things I've done that reached the highest number of people.

By now its a crowded niche with loads of experts, coaches and trainers and Youtube changed something that even having 19k subs my uploads barely hit 300 views these days.

I've always thought about build a following and becoming a digital influencer but its not something you have some control over.

Have Mom read this thread. What are her thoughts?

'Do or do not, there is no try' - Yoda

You do not need a step by step yet. You need to start producing results.

Want me to continue on this journey with you? Do something today as if your very life depended on it.

Read some lines a while back, no idea where it came from to give the appropriate credit...... here it goes:
Take a trip to a local lake, pool, ocean. Walk out into the water as far as you can. Get to the point where the water is at your neck. Take another step. Now your mouth is covered. You can still breathe if there isn't a wave. Take another step. You have to want this more than you want to breathe. Take another step. You have to be willing to do whatever it takes to succeed. Take another step. You have to quit thinking and start doing. Take another step.

Get started.

Huh? You realise that’s what’s called a “limiting belief”? (Google it and beware of your own speech patterns.)

Anyway, forget what you did previously for the moment.

Who will you help THIS week?

Forget getting paid for the moment. Just start helping people.

Business is simple: Add value. Get paid.

The reason it’s so hard is because people over-complicate it and get in their own way.
