I'm not sure where to post this but I just wanted to "air out" what I'm currently feeling and maybe someone can give some advice. Anyway, I just got out of the Hospital a week ago which I was in for 3 days. Turns out I have liver and kidney damage from drinking too much alcohol over the past 7 years, not a daily thing but weekends and eventually my body tapped out when I had to go to the ER. You wouldnt know it from looking at me. As the doctor told me, you are in great shape on the outside but doing bad on the inside. Luckily, The damage is reversible according to the the doctors. During my stay there, I decided that I'm "hanging up the jersey" from drinking for good and last few drinks I had, Man it took about 3 days to get through the hangover and 5 days AFTER that I felt completely depressed which totally F*cked me up in making more progress on my current business im trying to grow and launch. I also wrote a book but i needed to finish the conclusion and again, I didn't feel like doing anything, I actually felt like I wanted to completely disconnect from the world so anything i was doing dropped off.

Overall, My hospital stay was a wakeup call that i needed to get on track if I'm going to progress to a successful entrepreneur and healthy life of longevity. With that little rant said, I'm currently in a position to do well for myself but I feel "stuck" and maybe have doubts about myself? I don't know but even since my last drinks, I haven't felt like myself and it's F*cking me up. The opportunity I'm talking about is a guy i've become friends with who I met through a simple E-mail believe it or not. To make this story short, I bought his products that helped me with my trading of financial markets. We ended up getting on a call and we got along very well and said I have a very unique personality and charisma which was cool to hear and that's something I have "discovered" about myself when i reflect on the connections I've made. being in NYC, I've met highly successful people that I got along with so I've always been able to "connect", even being around a few celebrities, shit, i've even made out with a female celeb (No I will not share who she is). I shared my desire to do a project with him and when I sent him the details, he loved it and asked how would we get this rolling, Since he was in another city i told him I'll get on a plane to where he was and we could get things going. I did just that and we met up for the first time and it was a blast working on the project which came out awesome. I was very inspired by being around him and his vibe/surroundings that my mindset was on a "higher level" if that makes sense? By the way I forgot to mention that he has a networth of 9 figures and owns many businesses.

When I got back to NYC, I continued to work on the business I was building and told him about it, He offered to help in anyway he can. I'm looking to launch soon and he said he would pass his following/customers to me and successful people he knows to my launch and this is where I feel stuck. I guess i feel pressure? I'm not sure because I'm a very outgoing and driven guy. I've had many successes but I realize this is a great opportunity that I do not want to F*ck up. I have no idea why I feel "in the dumps" right now, this is totally not the time to feel this way as project launches are coming up and I need to be on my game. I just don't understand. Can anyone relate to this feeling? is it something you just push through? I's difficult to put into words as this whole post is probably not clear lol but I felt like I needed to "talk" to somebody. Also, I dont feel like I can talk about entrepreneurial things with people around me, They are all settled into the "average" lifestyle of going to a job until their dying day which is F*cking ridiculous. How people accept being slave to a job for their entire lives is beyond me but again they dont understand so cant talk to them. Boy, when people talk about the importance of your environment, they aren't kidding, it has a massive impact.

Only experienced similar symptoms while quitting porn & masturbation in the past, which really halted my drive and desire to do greater things. Not to say that all this is purely caused by you quitting drinking, but I believe it definitely has something to do with it.

What I understand from your post (which could use some more work as it fails to adequately explain how you're feeling) you're simply in a "bad mood." What you need to do right now is focus on things which will make you "feel better" by improving your health and promoting certain hormones which have been proven to make us happier.

Examples: exercise/sport (especially outdoors), hiking, eating healthy food, going to sleep at a reasonable time and waking up early, spending more time with family, maybe meeting some women, etc.

Incorporating several (or all) of the above in your daily/weekly routine might make you feel as if you're "pushing" yourself too much, but once you get used to being active, healthy and interacting with others you'll feel like a new man. Similar to how Bradley Cooper was in the movie "Limitless" after taking the pill. It's all about the activities you engage in and how those affect your health/hormones.

As far as your business goes, make a list of all the things you need to work on in order of importance and focus on one thing at a time.

Thanks Smark, I appreciate your response. I guess it may have to do with improving my health and time will tell but It's one of those things where you feel like not doing anything. Or maybe I'm having "partying" withdrawals? if that's even a thing. I'v become so used to going out, hooking up with many Women and drinking tons of alcohol and since that has totally stopped, I feel "off" moreso stopping the alcohol. I'm not trying to become a wack-off enthusiast so i balance myself out with sex but i have no desire for that either which could be a low testosterone problem.

I's just very frustrating with my current feeling as I'm usually a "lets get this shit done" type of person but lately cant shake off that "in the dumps" feeling. I'm hoping it dies off very soon because I have business i need to take care of as well as not miss a good financial opportunity.

You "hope" that feeling is going to die off soon?

If you hope it is going to happen, you've already lost...

Take control of that mother and start taking action in a positive direction.

No one cares about the women you've slept with, or the partying or the drinking. No one important at least who actually wants you to succeed.

You've got a great opportunity in front of you it sounds like so what do you want to do today that will get you moving on the right track?

Just my opinion, but your first hurdle to be successful in business is going to a rehab clinic, or recovery program for Addiction/Alcoholism for so many weeks, get dry, in a program, sponsor, and get clean for so many days.

A few years back I lost an acquaintance, I grew up with, who was an exceptional leader in my community. We were the same age, he was on leadership of everything, always challenged himself to be the best at everything. He lost his life to Alcoholism and an aneurysm. This was sad to me, because he was 39 when he passed away. He left his family behind. I grew up with him and it's such a loss, because Alcoholism wasn't worth the loss of his life and career.

I am also a former nurse aide, I understand what you're talking about, and if you don't change your habits, your business dreams won't exist. I've taken care of people who have allowed Alcohol to consume them and other drugs. You're right the outside of your body might look healthy, but it destroys your health.

I've been around Alcoholism/Addiction Recovery and Therapy all my life. It's not easy to break the chemical addiction. I've never walked the Alcoholism Addiction or drug addiction myself, but I can say, I've never seen it do wonders for anyone's life.

There are various programs you can enter, recovery groups, A.A. Meetings, Support groups online and offline. There are millions of sponsors out there who would be more than willing to walk with you through the journey who have been through it themselves. You just have to find one who may be a business man, jumped through the hoops themselves, and who can mentor you on how to deal with the situation you're currently experiencing.

Just an experiment for you to do.

Write down how much this Investment cost you financially for as long as you've had the addiction?

How many relationships in the family, jobs, education, business, friendships has it cost you?

Is this a good investment in your future?

The way you have to look at this Addiction; Time to file for divorce, cut off your best friends financial security in your habit, and kick the bottle to the curb.

When you have overcome your addiction at least for a year, found ways to handle your emotional stress, mental stress, and find positive recreational activities to get your body in better shape, than I would be worried about business, and entrepreneurship. While you may be trying to execute, network, and make business partnerships, you have to realize they will wonder why they should invest in you.

Addiction is abandonment of self, responsibility for your actions, thoughts, feelings. If you're not showing up for yourself in life, this makes it difficult for business investors to take you seriously.

This is about you finding self-worth, self-love, self-dignity, self-respect, and you're networth is as much as you believe your worth emotionally, mentally, spiritually, physically.

Thanks for this and you are correct. I appreciate the "tough love" response and I'm getting myself moving today to complete the business projects I started.

I
Thank you for this very detailed response. I've decided to completely cut drinking from my life after my hospital stay. My main issue was a case of rhabdomyolysis from a super hard squating workout and also liver damage. The doctors asked me if I ever had anything like this before and I said no so after some more questions, they said due to alcohol consumption over time, I weakened my body to where I couldn't handle the big workout strain. My drinking would be more of a social thing for example, out drinking at "happy hour", Weekend get togethers with friends, dates, casual business meetings and over the years, I just didn't realize what I was doing to my body internally or atleast I didnt pay attention.

As of right now, I'm going to continue moving forward with a healthy lifestyle and my goal is to get myself to the extraordinary shape I was in back in 2011-2012. I was 270lbs in 2010 and then 168lbs by 2011 so im looking to implement this style again for internal health purposes as my current weight is fine. Anyway didn't mean to get off track but the main goal is to make a dramatic lifestyle change healthwise.

I hope the best for you. I've seen people turn there health around with the right diet, vitamins, and fitness. You can do if you put your mind to it. They were in worse shape with chronic illness. Not even able to get out of bed, so I believe you can turn it around with the right support system, routine, and getting into the healthier habits.
