I don’t know Mj’s stance on this, but I’ve heard the term “unconferencing” where you go to where a conference is and just try and meet people at after hours events. Don’t know if it’s cheating, so correct me if I’m wrong, but I think it’d be worth it to fly out just to meet up for drinks in the evenings.

I don't have a problem with it and I'm sure that will happen. There's a ton of people here locally and the casino has some great gathering spaces. Last event everyone pretty much hung out in the bar area with live music and plenty of libations. There's a ton of space so the entire group could probably double size and we'd still be able to be social.
