The first book is The Prince by Machiavelli.
If anything, I'd call it a book that shines light on a screwed up world.
Machiavelli describes the patterns of power. You can strive to implement them, or you can use the book to discover these patterns in the world all around you.

I'm planning to re-read it soon so it would be cool to discuss it on the forum. It's one of my personal top 3 business books. It's actually very similar to the Millionaire Fastlane in some aspects.
I've seen this recommended a number of times in another thread by guys like @Kak
