Well I checked last Sat eve and didn’t see the show- looks like it posted Sunday, I figured it’d been cancelled. Anyways, that was a great show. It was a “shorter” podcast, but you really packed the material in there well. Kept me on my toes, probably took me twice as long w/pausing and rewinding.
The material is obviously applicable to survival, but has strong parallels to business, as some of the words you used indicated.

A few of your one liner’s I liked:
-Moments choose you, but you choose how you’re going to respond in those moments.
-Acting while your opponent is still deciding you can gain a strategic advantage (could be making the first move in a new business opportunity before anyone else jumps into the market).
-The real reason most people make bad decisions is because they fail to put the information we have in its proper context (applicable to so many things).
-Your decision does not have to be perfect! It simply has to be more swift and decisive than your opponent. (Take action! Totally entrepreneur relevant. The reality is that a perfectionist won’t make it out of a life threatening situation if they think everything they do has to be perfect. They’ll never finish their action, or re-assess the situation during their action to determine a new action).
-If the enemy doesn’t have time to react, you’re effectively in his head, inside his loop, ahead of him in his decision making process.
-Action needs to become reflexive for you.
-When an adversary doesn't expect our action… we’ve forced them back into our game plan.

*** Update on the Mind Your Business Podcast***

We'll be resuming weekly podcasts in August 2015.

Meanwhile, you can get some regular inspiration from http://www.facebook.com/mybusinesslive

and I will post an update here when the first new show is available on iTunes and from the station sometime the first week or so of August.

If you have any content specific requests, post them here and we will get to them eventually.

First show back will likely be about unplugging your business (i.e. MJ's commandment of TIME)

Wow.

I just had the opportunity to share this podcast with someone who needed it.

This is the most REAL piece of my story I have ever released.

http://www.twincitiesnewstalk.com/o...4/mind-your-business-is-college-the-13032812/

Skip up and start listening from 25:20 to the end.

If you want to hear my story. If you think you're done. If you don't know where to start.

I will get this podcast going again at some point, but if I never do another show again, my legacy is recorded for you in this link starting at minute 25.

When I hear it, it takes me directly into looking into a dark abyss that many of you are looking at today.

I hope this podcast gives you encouragement to press through.

There are different kinds of courage and Vigilante, you sir have courage in spades. That would have crushed anyone else.

Lots more I want to say but it would just be noise repeating myself. Damn inspiring story.

Reminder that today at 12PM Central time, you can check out Rachel's interview with @StephenKey.

You can catch the show starting at noon today at http://www.twincitiesnewstalk.com/media/podcast-mind-your-business-mindyourbusiness/

P
lease share that link with your friends today. Stephen Key's message is accessible to almost anyone. If you have $65 plus enough money to buy Stephen's book One Simple Idea, you can start down the path towards licensing your idea(s) to companies that will pay you to rent your ideas.

Also, a quick cheat sheet for you on trademarks, service marks, and copyrights from the start of the show:
✔ Protect your brand with a ™, for free. You can simply start using it on brands and slogans. Check out Skype's logo. They've never bothered to register it. They don't need to, and neither do you under most circumstances.

✔ Protect your services with a ℠ , for free. Like a trademark, but specifically to protect service brands and service slogans. Start using it, and you technically are not required to register it in order for it to effectively protect you.

✔ Protect your written work with a ©, for free. We use copyright protection on all images and advertising copy blocks. You don't need to register your copyrights, but consistently using the copyright message is an effective way to protect your online intellectual property. It, tied together with a cease and desist letter, are effective 99% of the time in stopping hacks from knocking off your photos and copy blocks.

✔ Protect your idea with a provisional patent for $65 total
1. Get a free account from RocketLawyer.com (7 day free trial!)
2. Print provisional patent documents using RocketLawyers Patent Wizard
3. File with the USPTO as a micro entity for just $65.

If you have any specific questions as to any of the above, you can email us at live@myb.media and we'll answer every single question. Note that nobody on our team are lawyers, so we don't dispense legal advice. If you have hard core intellectual property questions, a trademark/patent attorney is the best resource for you. Also, NOLO has some excellent books they publish on these subjects.

Changing my opinion on trademarks.

http://www.uspto.gov/trademarks-app.../reduced-fees-teas-application-filing-options

for $225 now, you can register a trademark directly with the USPTO. $225 to sleep better at night.

I am changing my formal position from NEVER to AS SOON AS ECONOMICALLY POSSIBLE regarding to switching from a ™ to a®
.

What TEAS application filing options are available as of January 17, 2015?

Beginning January 17, 2015, the TEAS application filing options and fees are as follows:

TEAS Plus: The TEAS Plus application filing option, for trademark and service mark applications on the Principal Register, offers the lowest filing fee, at $225 per class of goods and/or services, but has the strictest requirements.

In addition to the minimum filing requirements, TEAS Plus applications must include the following at the time the application is filed:

  • The filing fee for all classes listed in the application;
  • An identification of goods and/or services taken directly from the USPTO Trademark ID Manual;
  • Certain mark-related information, if applicable, e.g., translation statement regarding non-English wording, color claim and description for marks featuring color;
  • A correspondence e-mail address and authorization for the USPTO to send e-mail correspondence concerning the application throughout the application process.
In addition, TEAS Plus applicants must agree to electronically file, through TEAS, certain application-related submissions that may be filed during the application process, such as voluntary amendments and responses to Office actions. An applicant who files a TEAS Plus application but does not satisfy the relevant requirements will be required to submit an additional processing fee of $50 per class of goods or services. Further information about the TEAS Plus application requirements can be found at TMEP §819.01.

@Vigilante , Any plans of ever bringing back the podcast? There is a real lack of good business podcasts out there right now.

Yes, I revived a 2 year old thread.

100% but I have to wait a bit. Clear Channel / IHeartMedia will produce it again. I have a lot to talk about.

I really want it to be a Saturday morning radio show during what the media company considers garbage time that I think I can turn into revenue on a national basis. The reason I want Saturday morning as I think that working Joes would tune in for a mental break from their nine-to-five. If it were a Show vs. dedicated podcast we could have live call-in and today it's still more attractive to National advertisers. Every single episode would then be podcast for on demand.

I know I can get them to do the podcast, and produce it. It's just convincing them to see my vision of the Saturday morning National syndicated show. You really don't need syndication anymore in the old school fashion because once it is broadcasting live the iheartmedia app makes it streamable nationwide.

Thanks for your note. It is already on the table. It would be most excellent to resurrect this thread when it happens.

Car Talk did well for 3 decades on Saturday mornings on NPR

Wheels with Ed Wallace in 25th year of broadcasting on Saturday morning in Dallas.

I think the subject matter/style/audience of your show would be perfect for that time.

Live Call-Ins would 10x the value of the show.

You could give people some nice a$$-kickings in real-time, which I would pay to listen to.

Tuning in?

You'll be a guest at some point when you're ready and when your brand can use the publicity.
