A powerful technique for prioritization... If there's a lot on your mind right now, this is perfect.

MJ's books have a numerical focus, which is important in business. I noticed techniques mentioned for making decisions, like the 'equation for wealth' and WADM (weighted average decision matrix)

The SEI method is like WADM but for tasks. It's known also by other acronyms. I prefer this one:

S - Speed (how quickly it can be done)
E - Ease (how simple it is)
I - Impact (how much value it creates)

Give each factor a score 1-9 per task, and multiply the three factors, to get the task's priority score. You can go to sheets.new (to open new Google Sheets), list your tasks, and do this in 5 minutes.
What is 1 vs. 9...
...on the speed scale? It's a month of full-time work vs. a two minute phone call
...on the ease scale? It's something almost impossible, vs. something you could do half-asleep
...on the impact scale? It's a token action (action-faking) vs. making millions

What if a task has a deadline or just has to be done? You give it an impact-score that is off-the-charts, like 100.

You will gain a lot of clarity as this requires you to weigh the effort vs outcome. You now have the exact order in which to do the tasks. It's like an advanced to-do list.

Why is it necessary? Because there's so many opportunities and tasks you can do, but not all are worth doing right now. Especially if you are working on a complex project or you don't have clear goals. With this solution there is no ambiguity. I use this also for prioritizing which tasks my team should work on.

Anyone else use this?
