Probably the catch is that you need to be technical to set it up and manage it properly to ensure delivery.
You have to do a bit of tech stuff, but assuming the hosting company supports it, it doesn't look too bad

I don’t want to hear anyone say ecommerce is dead, temu is killing ecommerce, dropshipping is dead, Facebook ads are dead, is it still possible to go Fastlane, is it harder than ever, why am I a brokie, I’m going to entirely reinvent the wheel with some F*cking stupid funnel or monetisation method

Here it is

1 product, 1 video, honestly, the minimum they make from that one video will be 6 figures, I could see them hitting 7-8 off it though.

Isn't that just a cheap foldable chair you can find on Amazon or Temu? Why would people still buy from the ad and lap it up? They can just close the browser, open up their Amazon/Temu/AliExpress app and get 586 options at 1/4 the price, and with points/rewards/coupons from those platforms too!

Gentlemen, remember FullCook - a machine that can cook anything you want with a press of a button, and effectively replaces the entire kitchen? I now have a patent pending.

In the last 2 months he machine was significantly downsized, and now it can fit on any countertop.

I think it's 2-3 months until I create a prototype, and will sell it immediately. (it'll also take bottstrapping couple thousands from my side)

@Johnny boy I remember you've said it's impossible ;)
How does the patent application process work?

You can apply without a prototype?

You are quite welcome! I figured the quote applied for this forum as well lol.
However, @StrikingViper69 did not seem to like it...
At best, he sounds like he’s confusing confidence and arrogance. At worst he’s trying to undermine self confidence, which is a good and healthy thing.

It’s an awful quote.

Perhaps you didn't read the ending. He was trying to undermine complete self-confidence, which is arrogance.

I am very sure that Chesterton agreed that one should have some level of understanding of their value or dignity.
That’s mincing words. Complete self confidence is being aware of what you do and do not know. Arrogance is something different.

Do you mean "mixing words"? Because ironically that's what you are doing here

Sir, that is definitely not what complete self confidence means.

"Being aware of what you do and do not know" is humility, and confidence (etymologically speaking from the Latin "confido") means trust, that is, trusting in something or someone.

So then the question is, why is self-confidence fine and well while complete self-confidence is a weakness?
Because you cannot fully rely on yourself. Objectively you are where you stand today because of someone else. If you simply rely on only yourself, then you are saying that you basically have no one to thank but yourself. To quote Benjamin Franklin: "A man wrapped up in himself makes a very small bundle."

That's called pride, which is the opposite of humility.

In the context of this forum, proud entrepreneurs don't really get anywhere. Even if you purport that you have succeeded on your own, you needed some level of assistance from others to get to where you are now.

If you had to learn to code for your business to succeed, sure, you had to desire to learn (as is necessary), but who taught you? Even if you took a class on Codecademy, someone had to make that class for someone like you to learn.

Did your business require you to learn marketing? You probably spent many hours studying the art and executing your campaign for your business to do well, but the skill of marketing didn't suddenly appear of your own accord. Someone wrote the book you perhaps read, and someone made the design or the tools to design your business's marketing.

I don't say any of this to discount the hard work that one might have had to put in for their venture to flourish. I am saying, and so is Chesterton, that ultimately you will fail if you think you have no one to thank. This is a mindset thing. Have some humility and gratitude mixed in with your business ventures (or really any venture in life) and you won't go wrong.

edit: Maybe read the "gratitude" link that shows up

I didn't find any better topic to ask, but can anyone help me with Google Ads spend. This first campaign was setup to have daily budget of 5€ but it somehow got to 101€ after day and a half of being active, second campaign I started few hours ago. This graph in the ads.google.com impressions are zero for both campaigns. I understand the technical reasons why it's hard for them to make them stick to correct amount, but this missed by a factor of 10. They gave me some over-delivery discount, so it's kinda okay. This seems like an easy way to throw away money if you are not watching over it like a hawk. They didn't even send me a email with the receipt after first 10€ threshold was reached, they just charged my card. If I didn't manually go check Billing tab, I wouldn't have known until the next month. Any advice on how to limit that spending effectively in the future?

Just a small sampling of the bogus/bs users that attempt to join. For every 10 spammer/backlinker/AI-bot/self-promoter, there is perhaps 1 or 2 actual people who want to change their life.

Readed a lot of replies here and thought of sharing something. I have read the rules post too. But with intention I am really looking for advice.

I am from Asia and I have some kind of local business knowledge which is not relevant at all. I am a developer and kind of SEO guy. I want to start something like a company that helps people to automate their side hustle with a tool in one subscription. It have CRM, Project/Task/Human Resources, invoicing, lead and inventory system. But I am failing to grow conversation with my targeted clients like US/UK people. I am failing to get some feedback from them(even they're not registering or using active what they're doing is sending 100 mail limit like spam and gone). Also I lack proper business knowledge. Any suggestion?

Anyway

I loved this quote

“What a tragedy to reach the end of your life and only be able to say “I got by without having to do too much””

Hit home

4HWW, shortcuts, outsourcing, efficiency, scaling easy stupid shit is cool, but it’s way cooler to pour your life and heart and soul into something cool and really work on and build it
Interesting, did you like it overall?

I read it last year and found it for the most part very abstract and generic.

For those who are experienced with intermittent fasting, what do you recommend drinking until the time to eat has come?

I am currently drinking tea with lemon peels with ginger root and stevia leaves (not premade packets) and I'm not sure if this is going to harm me in the long term.

I feel a lot more enrgized when I don't eat as much and I don't do intense exercise like gym. I walk every day for about an hour with my German Shepherd and I will start jogging when my legs regain their strength.
I've been listening to waay too much Brian Johnson so today I'm doing my fasting in the afternoon, eating all my calories early in the day. I have no idea what to drink on this situation but would also like advice.

Supposedly I will sleep much better, that is if hunger lets me sleep at all lol. The adaptation period is probably going to be hard. Hope it's worth it.

All those stock market gains the FIRE people love raving about is a wash in terms of inflation and purchasing power.

This is WHY "saving $XXX a month" is a losing game.

Start a business and go for asymmetric income, the only way to defeat the money printer, is to print your own.
Ah my generation (Millennials) if we don't change.

In Tucker Carlson's recent interview with the founder of Telegram (Pavel Durov), Pavel mentioned how FBI agents wanted to know what open-source libraries he was using in his software, and encouraged him to use certain libraries. Why would they want him to use certain software libraries in his encrypted messaging app? It seems obvious US intelligence has backdoors in these open-source libraries. He didn't say which libraries they wanted him to use.

None of those technologies are anonymous or secure. Those agencies already used tax payer dollars to pay experts and specialists to defeat it. Then they benefit from a wealth of information when the public thinks they have an edge against the system or think the government is losing the fight on privacy. Telegram is just a piece of software.

The courts have already ruled that they must help the government retrieve the info if it was involved in some crime. The founder most likely already helped the government. Like WhatsApp.

The system is now just organized crime with some kind of moral veil.

This is why I’m not excited about A.I. It will just be weaponized by the government against its citizens. Most AI is owned by Corporations and Academia.

You’re better off sending a message with a carrier pigeon if privacy is your goal.

Avoid anything sweet (even if it has no sugar), as this has the potential to trigger an insulin response from the body.

This includes chewing gum or using very sweet toothpaste or mouthwash.

If insulin gets released prematurely and there is no actual glucose to dispose of in the system, ketone production and gluconeogenesis are halted, which means that you will be running on 0 fuel - translation: lethargy, brain fog, dizziness, etc.

When fasting, I only drink water (with or without electrolytes) or cold brewed black coffee with nothing added to it.
Do you also avoid carb sources like oats? When I eat those in the morning with banana and bitter cocoa powder I don't get a crash after, but if I eat white bread, pasta and potatoes I get floored.

Do you mean Bryan Johnson? If so, I think this guy goes way overboard with his routine.

There were times when I thought there was a black hole in my stomach, but I was too tired to get out of bed.

I think it's also important to get busy and have little idle time during your day, otherwise you will find yourself visiting the fridge for no reason way too often.

I don't know the context of question or the answer, and I'm not going to watch any of that fear porn bullshit, but there could be legitimate reasons for them to ask. Encryption is not a thing that you just write code for, implementation of encryption algorithm is really really really important. That's why libraries are used for that specific purpose, and we don't implement them manually every time.

They could be asking to know if they can use it internally at FBI. They could be asking because they can't crack it easily, so they start with these simple questions to soften them up for implementing some kind of backdoor later. Social engineering is a more common vector for attack, which could suggest that encryption is not cheaply crackable. Maybe they encouraged them to use certain libraries that were tested by FBI internally that they are implemented correctly. Maybe they just asked to see if they are using version of library later than 1.0.11 or something like that. I don't know about USA specifically, but in my country when you do a government contract, no matter how stupid it is, if it's in the specification, it has to be followed. In the end, FBI has to protect their own data, so they also use some kind of encryption. Why would Telegram guy even share that to anyone? Is he playing a marketing game?

I'm not saying you are wrong, because I don't know, but I don't think it's simple as what you wrote. All encryption is crack-able, real question is how cheap is it, and I don't think it's that cheap, otherwise they wouldn't even ask. If everything was cracked cheaply, well, we would be living in a very different world.

You're probably right. The FBI wouldn't be that evil. At least not again.
And there are countless other examples, xz recently, and so on and on. Which are all true. But that doesn't make the FBI evil, it's simply their function. Of course they try it. Let's say it like this, this guy felt comfortable publicly talking about how FBI approached him. That's not nothing. I wonder would he ever share that information about a government agency from some other country. I'm writing this because I think it's important to not get carried away with "evil", "moral" or other labels and try to be a devils advocate. It's simply the reality of the situation that these things are happening, but you still have to ask yourself these questions. After that it becomes a question of threat modelling and risk management. I personally wouldn't worry about FBI at all, I think a way worse aspect of security is all this fear porn nonsense that we are all subjected to online. And I consider all the modern American "journalists" that The Algorithm props up a part of that problem. I write this more generally for everyone here, not at you specifically.

I personally think you're blowing smoke out your a$$ but I would love for you to prove me wrong.

Also, filing a patent before even having a working prototype or any interest whatsoever is idiotic.

All you can file (without risking thousands in legal fees and time to file a real patent) is a provisional, which saves your place in line, and allows you to have "patent pending" on your product.

It doesn't protect you whatsoever.
It actually cost me 120€. We don't have a provisional patents, but we don't need to since they are cheaper. I have the priority anyway.

In America, the Government gets it's power by consent of the people. When the Government uses this power for any other purpose than that for which it was given, that is not simply "things are happening". When the Federal government does this, the States are supposed to invoke the 10th Amendment of Nullification, and simply ignore them. When the Federal government uses their power to oppress the people who gave them power, that is a betrayal, and it fits my definition of evil.
I have many opinions on this particular topic, but I've already spent enough time today on this forum. I would love to continue this conversation at the some later date though.

In our student dorm we live in a blocks, and to access the blocks you literally need to got through a bar, where even at daytime people are already drinking, laughing, and ultimately degrading. You can't get to or out of your own house any differently.
People are drinking their teens, but hey, the dormitory also takes a profit share from that bar...
