Light at the end of the tunnel..

A quick vid to show you that, yes, there is light at the end of the tunnel, even if it doesn't seem like it right now. Tunnels are dark. They can be scary. What's on the other side is worth the journey through. Wanted to share for those dealing with anxiety or self-doubt about starting down this path. This is what my fastlane freedom looks like. Feel free to share your version too.

I hope whoever you are, whether you're already grinding or just thinking about it, I hope you'll consider how things could be and just start walking that direction. Choose to keep going when your feet get tired.

The Girl You Ignored..

There's a girl you ignored.
Never gave the time of day.
When she came into your life..
She hit you like a wave.

You loved her like no other.
Said you'd never let her go.
So why did you ignore her?
Left her feeling so alone.

She came to you excited.
So much she had to say.
Too focused on tomorrow..
You missed out on today.

Eyes locked in the distance.
Your trance was all you saw.
Her hopes and dreams before you.
Trashed like a bendy straw.

Then one day 10 years had passed.
Everything had changed.
The girl you ignored..
Now she was estranged.

You look into her eyes.
See a person you don't know.
And the girl, she stares back.
Feeling so alone.

Try to find the words to say.
Recall the memories.
But the only words you find are..
Please, please don't leave.

Two worlds once in harmony.
Now you stand apart.
Ignored your little girl.
Now she's ripping out your heart.

You said you'd always love her.
You'd never let her go.
So why did you ignore her?

Why?
Why?

Now you are all alone.

I was at the grocery store last night around 5. It was packed. People fighting for grab n' go, rushing to make it home. Just off work. Another day lost.

As I walked the aisles, I saw a man with a little girl by his side. She tugged at his arm. Not 4 or 5, she was closer to a teen.

She had things to say.. about her grades, about school activities. There was this excitement in her voice, like she was so happy.

And I watched her dad respond again and again. "Mhmmm" he'd mumble, didn't even turn his head. Autopilot mind.. might as well be dead.

My heart cracked a little at the sight. I don't know his situation, of course. But wanted to share thoughts on why it's worth it, even when you fear it's not.

A shot at freedom, to live, and be present for those you love..
is worth everything you've got.

My heart goes out. Kids grow up so fast. Be there for them.
