What do you think of livestreaming your world-record attempts on several different social platforms simultaneously?

Host on Youtube live, TikTok live, Instagram live, and Twitch all at the same time.

You will gather an audience of fans regardless of whether you successfully break records or not.
HA! With commentary? That sounds like a pretty interesting idea and I'd love to do that if it had interest lol

Also, next time I will try for 17 to 20 repetitions of the sally up challenge :bicep: then from there hopefully no one can overcome that record and i will focus next on the plank... training continues

Hey man, congrats again on absolutely smashing that Flower challenge. We used to do it quite often in the cadets, and I've only seen one guy who did it 3 times in a row. What you did is truly impressive. Keep grinding!
My ultimate dream is to become someone who can help others quit horrible addictions like video games/porn/alcohol because I suffered with those for a cumulative 20 year period, but I feel like that is something that has to come after I've already established myself, not the first thing I pursue, so I want to become successful first to show it can be done despite being set back so far. That is my goal in life as it stands.

Thank you very much for your kind words. I will keep grinding, it is tough out there at times, but for me I realize now my perceived deficits may as well be 95% mental. I need to stay positive and stay on a forward trajectory instead of getting all jacked up on the past, or rather I'll rewrite it as a gift that happened to empower me rather than burden me.

I already like Andy Frisella's podcast, so I will check out episode 493 as you recommended and get back with what I think. I don't want my goal to seem lofty, and I think resolving addiction isn't a one man enterprise, we are all in this together.

As for droopynips. Yes I kind of miss that name, if I'm 100% honest.

You may be behind. But you are not alone.

We're all here for you.

I know perfectly well what it feels like to miss the train. Watching your opportunities go away because of you lack of wisdom. Being in a gold mine, but being too stupid to understand how lucky you are and that now it's the time to take massive action.

But guess what.

All the pain has been transformed into the most profound life lesson, something that I repeat to myself every single day:

Your life is you making.
The way you do it is the way it happens.

If you do good things, good things will happen. If you do stupid things, stupid things will happen. A->B. Cause and effect. It's really that simple.

You can't change the past (mainly because it only exists in our memory, not in reality) . But right now, in this very moment, you are creating your future.

How tomorrow and the next moment will look like, is something that you will decide right now. Whether or not you are aware of this fact.

So let's leave the shame, guilt, and regrets aside, and let's get back to work, because the future is bright.

This was an interesting podcast, but Eric seems disingenuous to me for some reason. His story doesn't add up in the way he claims. He said all he did was bootstrap himself with hard work to succeed, yet the fact he magically got $150k to buy a 3 bedroom house when his 'life was falling apart' at 23, after just coming over homelessness, then was somehow able to buy another one a year later despite claiming he was making 0 income other than 'covering living expenses' seems extremely fishy to me.

You already started.

You have the raw product... you, your feats, your story, your goals. You're already inspiring people following you in just this thread. Imagine thousands or hundreds of thousands of people also watched that video? Would they be similarly impressed and inspired?

I'm sure if more people saw your videos you'd blow up. So now you "just" need to get more people to see your videos.

IMO, you're now into the realms of marketing your product and getting it in front of more people. Figure out how to do this for this particular product (your personal brand doing fitness feats), and that's a skill no-one can take from you, that you can apply to other products, and that others may pay handsomely for.

I replied to your latest video on YouTube to help engagement there. I'll repeat it here. Well done changing your channel name to your name. Can you change your avatar to a photo of you too? Can you add "Sally Up" to the thumbnail? Can you do the next one as a live stream and encourage people to join in and maybe challenge you as a relay team?

I think it's good you wore a vest in this one btw. It shows the tone in your arms which the ladies might like and which the guys might aspire to have.

For everyone following this thread and supporting Shono. Have you Liked and replied to the latest video? Is there anyone you know who'd be impressed or inspired by it? Can you share it with them?

Remember the statistics on being rich and happy, the ones that say that money is strongly correlated with happiness? I've learned this on the @Kak radio show.

It's happening because successful people are also good people. That's F*cking why.

Remember the statistics on being rich and happy, the ones that say that money is strongly correlated with happiness? I've learned this on the @Kak radio show.

I think it’s more correlated to a purpose driven life than someone blown around in whatever direction. The money is an effect not a cause.

But yes! The rich are happier with their work. They’re happier with their relationships too.

The biggest correlation was locus of control IMO. Strong internal makes people feel like they matter. Strong external makes people feel like they don’t.

I saw the awesomeness of this community today. A community that truly, honestly, appreciate real value. Anyone will find a warm home here if they provide value. The support is amazing. Lots of givers in here.

I worked much like the whole day and was tired but wanted to continue. It is now 10pm in Uganda. But I felt tired an unable to continue. I wanted to sleep.

Then I decided to check the TFF. I kept seeing @Shono headlining here and there. Got hold of the thread and BOOM! . The guy is making everyone's day.

@Shono this thread you started has made my day. I got more fuel and knocked a chapter I wanted to postpone till later.

Feel more energised to knock off another before I go to bed.

In the morning I did 70 push-ups in 3 sets of 35, 20 and 15 and 70 squats in sets of 50 and 20.

Maybe at some point I will be doing 200.

The crab in the bucket mentality is so true, it appals me personally as recently I have encountered hypocritical full grown adults be condescending, and gossip, and try to be holier than thou, whilst placing their values only on completely superficial things. The typical shallow consumerist 'spend money to impress those who don't care,' while simultaneously trying to belittle others. Sometimes the more I interact new people, my hope in humanity wanes, but this forum has been a refreshing wellspring.

The biggest correlation was locus of control IMO.
I read somewhere that happiness is about 20% genetic, 30% circumstantial, and 50% based on ones own autonomy / ones ability to have control over their life, so it rings true. Although it makes sense also that people who are passionate about what they do generally have more breadth of experience, are more creative, more well rounded individuals. Also wisdom should translate to happiness I think, and experience leads to that.

Your post, and those of others here have made my day. I am honoured to hear I made any sort of positive impact to you. Good work on the pushups and squats, those are some very impressive numbers. Keep working hard and thanks for the positivity.
