I'm Kimberly Rockefeller. Biology background, self employed since 1998. I have owned a supplement company, a Newsstand and a Floral Design Shop. Lots of amazing highs and some not so fun lows.

For the last 15 years I have been growing my Esthetics business and investing in Real Estate. Currently, I own/operate a Day Spa in San Diego. I am "commercial hacking" as I own my building, booth rent the rooms and my tenants cover the majority of my overhead.

The business is profitable and that's great- I'm grateful to have forged my own path. However, I have hit a wall. I work way more in my business than on my business. To make the real money, I am required to be in a room with clients for at least 8 hours a day. That means whenever I want to take time off, I have to factor in whatever the cost of what I'm doing AND my lost wages. Anyway, most of you know the pros and cons of being a small business owner.......

I have never been risk adverse or afraid to jump feet first, no matter the outcome. Yet I find myself paralyzed, complacent, stuck... Lots of ideas but mostly feel like I have Adult ADD.

So what's a girl to do?

Listen to the advice of her trusted confidant and partner in crime, that's what! @Gary

I attended the 2018 Fastlane Summit this past weekend at the insistence of my husband. ( It was his birthday request so I couldn't refuse) These things are really more his speed and I wasn't quite sure what to expect.

All I can say is "wow!" I had no idea the wealth of knowledge and inspiration that would be packed into 2 days. I met so many of you and gleaned valuable tidbits from each speaker and spawned some exciting new ideas from others.

I start my Monday with a renewed sense of purpose and vision for the future of my business (and maybe another one that I'd not thought of before).

Thank you for hosting such an amazing event! I enjoyed meeting many of you and hearing the stories of struggle, triumph and success. I can't wait to learn more! (And happy to help anyone along the way, if I can)

Welcome. Is the title based on what you heard people doing at the Summit? You and Gary are doing well but you want MORE. That is a good thing. You will not be starting from the bottom though. You two are well on your way. Any underachieving was just due to lack of visibility to what is out there. You have done well on what you have worked on.

@Garyswife,

It's always great when someone attends the summit and has their mind blown with possibilities. This, indeed, sounds like you. I'm glad you had such a positive experience. I spoke with Gary and got his biz card. I'll see you folks when I hit town for Comic-Con in July.

Have a great 2018!

Well @SteveO , I like everything done yesterday and have become increasingly aware I need to elevate my goals. Just haven't taken action. Having a baby at 40 didn't leave me with a lot of extra energy- 6 months ago he started sleeping through the night- (no longer an infant, he is 4 now LOL). so here we go - no excuses.
PS- I loved your story. I too have had to pick myself up from devastating financial loss. Its not pretty but when you reach the other side, it's more rewarding than the initial success! Super proud of you, thank you for sharing.

That's awesome. Looks like an awesome support system/dynamic duo.

Will you be coming to meet with us next time at The AC Lounge??

Hi Garyswife!

I lived in San Diego county for about five years with most of it in Borrego Springs in the middle of nowhere and also did some time in PB. I miss the beach, palm trees, sun and people!

Welcome!!

It was awesome talking and hanging out with you and Gary at the summit. I will say I'm actually surprised to hear you were ever reluctant to join the summit - your attitude didn't give that away at all! Instead of looking like you didn't want to be there you were soaking up everything and engaging with folks and looked like you were having a great time. Love seeing that kind of open mindedness and willingness to jump in :D

Glad you've joined!
