I'm Kimberly Rockefeller. Biology background, self employed since 1998. I have owned a supplement company, a Newsstand and a Floral Design Shop. Lots of amazing highs and some not so fun lows.
For the last 15 years I have been growing my Esthetics business and investing in Real Estate. Currently, I own/operate a Day Spa in San Diego. I am "commercial hacking" as I own my building, booth rent the rooms and my tenants cover the majority of my overhead.
The business is profitable and that's great- I'm grateful to have forged my own path. However, I have hit a wall. I work way more in my business than on my business. To make the real money, I am required to be in a room with clients for at least 8 hours a day. That means whenever I want to take time off, I have to factor in whatever the cost of what I'm doing AND my lost wages. Anyway, most of you know the pros and cons of being a small business owner.......
I have never been risk adverse or afraid to jump feet first, no matter the outcome. Yet I find myself paralyzed, complacent, stuck... Lots of ideas but mostly feel like I have Adult ADD.
So what's a girl to do?
Listen to the advice of her trusted confidant and partner in crime, that's what! @Gary
I attended the 2018 Fastlane Summit this past weekend at the insistence of my husband. ( It was his birthday request so I couldn't refuse) These things are really more his speed and I wasn't quite sure what to expect.
All I can say is "wow!" I had no idea the wealth of knowledge and inspiration that would be packed into 2 days. I met so many of you and gleaned valuable tidbits from each speaker and spawned some exciting new ideas from others.
I start my Monday with a renewed sense of purpose and vision for the future of my business (and maybe another one that I'd not thought of before).
Thank you for hosting such an amazing event! I enjoyed meeting many of you and hearing the stories of struggle, triumph and success. I can't wait to learn more! (And happy to help anyone along the way, if I can)
