Tbh, I am F*cking scared right now. I've been trying to figure out ideas for so long, had some that I think would do quite well and they did - I just wasn't the person to realise them [People had already been brilliant before me ): ] Wanted to start learning how to code an Chrome extension, but as soon as I saw the first frame of code and heard the dude describe it - everything just blanked and I thought "tf is the point?!! I saw a guy on the Fastlane Forum talkin about "LEARN COPY NOT CODING" this won't help me achieve anything"

Now I'm just lurking as @Andy Black puts it - paralyzing myself with more and more info on what to do whenever you have a business goin, when I haven't even really started.

I've been trying to follow the idea guide by @NeoDialectic, but still no results yet. I'm starting to feel like I'm slipping, getting scared out of financial freedom and I don't know what to do to keep myself motivated and keep fighting for what I could achieve...

You're focused on learning, ideas, and starting a business. I find when people are stuck like that then focusing on helping others gets them unstuck.

Maybe this might help:

Ok, so look at the bright side.
- Your capability of recognizing good ideas has just been proved to be spot-on.
- You are way ahead of most people who have never even tried to come up with a good idea.

Now you're blanking, though.

You used the words, "lurking," "paralyzing," "slipping," "getting scared."

There's something causing this blockage. See if you can put your finger on it. Because getting wrapped up and obsessing over "LEARN COPY NOT CODING" is not the point. Neither one is the answer. They're just tools. They're just means to an end. But the "copy vs coding" debate shouldn't have the power to get you scared.

Looking into why this got you stuck in the first place, there must be some kind of underlying belief or assumption that you're making that is holding you up. If you can pinpoint what that is, and then consider what the actual truth is, you might get yourself unstuck.

- Is it that you believe that there is ONE "right" answer that you must find? That'll make it feel like the stakes are too high. This same belief when applied to relationships (there's only ONE "right" person in the world for me) would also be paralyzing. Can you free yourself up to realize that there are many potential paths to the outcome you're after?

- Is it that you believe that you have to do everything perfectly? That would also be paralyzing, since nobody's perfect. Can you remind yourself that all of the successful people weren't perfect either, and you can do this even if it's not perfect?

- Is it that you believe that any mistakes would prove you're a failure, so you're afraid to start?

- Is it that you believe that all the good, viable ideas have already been taken, so there's no room left for you to execute and succeed?

- Is it that you believe that you will never measure up and your efforts will never be enough, so what's the point?

- Is it some other belief?

What's the actual truth that counters whatever belief currently has you stuck?

Take a breath. It is going to be ok. Tomorrow is a new day to give yourself to your pursuit.

You will figure it out. And it is going to take as long as it needs to take.

Don't fret that you aren't going faster.

Don't fret that you feel you haven't started.

Fretting is simply wasting time focused on things you don't need to be focused on.

Maybe you blew it today. Whoops. So what? Tomorrow is a new day to give yourself to your pursuit.

Just focus on getting better. Making better choices. And slowly but surely you will make progress on your mission to help improve people's lives in some shape or fashion.

And maybe this will help

Or maybe this

Honestly, I don’t know why everyone seems to be falling apart

I will post this for you people who are struggling.

I’ve said it a in a few posts.

JUST BREATH

it’s the most powerful thing you can do.

I’ve seen like 5 people breaking down.

I’ve been in that position god knows how many times.

My moms always told me to

JUST BREATH

Everyone’s complicating things.

Just breath in through your nose, exhale through your mouth.

I use it, it’s calmed me down.

Its a superpower.

Everyone can access it.

But very few do it.

Let’s try.

Breath In
.
.
.
.
Breath Out
.
.
.
Repeat

Do that like 20 times, it’ll only take a few minutes.

Its fine if you fall asleep, trust me it’s hard to stay awake after that.;)

Come on everyone.

You’ve all got this, we’re just the person pointing you down the path.

And on your way down that path..

JUST BREATH

Read this..

This isn't happening just here...but also outside in my life too.

It's folks close to me complaining how their drive to work suddenly dropped...how they can't go no more further in their careers...how national politics are hopeless and we might as well all move out...how EVEN moving out is also bad...

I can also see it in the eyes and speech of the few youth meetups I go to.

I think this is a wake-up call to consider what we have been eating and consuming.

Not just foods, but also what we read and study. What do we take into our hearts and minds?
Do we even set aside time to 'sharpen the axe?'

I was just at a Polish basar (next to a prison lol) and I tried a sweater on.
The seller was basically saying that only old people normally wear that sweater and that he knew that it wouldn't look good on me wtf :rofl::rofl:

Anyways I I witfully replied and liked it.
To be honest I might not have bought it myself (140pln/35€) because of the relatively high price but a relative said he would pay so we did buy it.

I was thinking about that funny encounter and thought whether he was actually employing a sales strategy.
After all, I bought from him!

And I think he might have.

He first scratched my ego, which made me want to prove him wrong.
And I think you know where this is going...

I was selling myself, in a sense.

Fascinating.

Always stay receptive. You never know when you'll learn something.

This got mind-blowingly real, real F*ckin fast, but thank you for making it this way - we striving to be the best after all. Oh boy, when the question "What's really bothering you?" comes up - than it gets tough. I guess it might be a combination of:
"
- I believe that any mistakes would prove I'm a failure, so I'm afraid to start

- I believe that all the good, viable ideas have already been taken, so there's no room left for me to execute and succeed?
"
I understand that the fact that it takes me so long to come up with something must make me stupid somehow. I guess you can say I'm ahead of everybody, who hasn't even tried, but I think most of the people on this forum are. It just that it feels overwhelming, cause starting a business is this whole process and I can't even get over the first F*ckin' step. Then I get to thinkin': "alright, what if I actually find an idea that works, but I fail in another step of the way - I'll have to spend months and months again just to try and find an idea" - it F*ckin sucks.

Cause I read books n shit and they kinda make it sound like no big deal, like in the "7 day start-up" by Dan Norris is just "come up with an idea in a day, but the idea has to have all of these guidelines, this, that and that" and that's just nr.1"doesn't seem to be possible at all" nr.2 "EVEN LESS SO FOR ME".

Plus, reading "The Magic of Thinking BIG" by David Schwartz hasn't helped, cause I've been dreaming of building entire websites or at the very least some chrome extensions, but not only are all of the ideas taken, when I look at a tutorial of what needs be done for a website to run [with no major spending, that is] I shit myself and run off once again, back to a ball that doesn't do nothin' but feels sorry for it's own debatably apparent stupidity...

Can you at least for a lil while feel, what the brain of mine comin' up with during these trying times?

Thanks, my guy! I love the positive attitude u mfs have. Unfortunately this is also a problem. Cause I spend what I feel like the majority of the day either on this forum, reading some book about stoicism or doin other "productive" shit and feel like a$$, cause I have made even a sliver of progress in anything - still in the same spot I was at the start of the day and when I'm not spending most of the day on these things that are supposedly making me "achieve my goal", I feel like I'm mindlessly wasting time - each second that I don't think about business is a second I'm loosing towards achieving my goals.

Just seems to me that no matter what I do, its always a lose-lose situation, cause I have no progress to show myself, let alone someone else...

Have you been here before? WTF did you do to get out, my man?!

Have you been here before? WTF did you do to get out, my man?!

Well, let's see...

By the time I was 34 I had achieved my childhood career goal of running a "wall street type shop" for a year. Only a year and I needed a change.

Around that time I got a girlfriend who then started a business. I married the girl. I eventually took over the business. Neither the marriage or the business "succeeded". Lol.

AND

Around the same time, I also got a job. I added a marketing department, worked my way into ownership, now I run the company.

AND

Last year I bought a client's business in partnership with his son.

So far every business idea I started myself hasn't gone very far. Hoping to change that soon, but until then I keep helping other people's ideas get better and better.

The truth is I have spend an inordinate amount of my time on this earth daydreaming and researching running businesses and frankly, a lot of that time has paid off in my current role. Time well spent if you ask me.

But I am what I call "a late bloomer", so hopefully your light bulbs go off faster than mine did.

I believe a huge % of this is what people are listening to. Spend hours a day on Reddit or listening to the "news" and you will believe the world is falling hopelessly apart. Turn off those sources, go outside and do real things, and it can feel a lot better again.

I hired a guy to start doing some jobs for me.

It requires him to drive in his car to the jobs with the $1000 cleaning equipment.

I want to minimize the risk of him damaging or running off with it. - I’m only calling him out when I need jobs done and I’m paying him legally

Is this just a risk that needs to be taken or is there something I can do to prevent this from happening?

I just saw something on the news where these people are interviewing some entrepreneurs

and they asked what they think entrepreneurship is about..

These are like kids, probably around 13.

They said that it’s about filling in the gap for a need.

That you should make things easier for people.

They learnt how to code and they made a app for schools to teach students on how to code.

The news person asked, “so enterpeneurship you have to cold call and cold email?”

They said yes but that’s not what they’re aiming for.

They said they hope that people will just talk about their app and people will get it.

They also added entrepreneurship is about turning an idea into reality.

If these kids can make these big things and get interviewed.

Why are so many kids around that age saying that they can’t do anything like that?

That they’re too young?

Goes to show there are enough resources out there for you to create something like this.

Seems you are me!

In my enviroment I have some entrepreneurs and I talk a lot to them, trying to help them, as they are my friends or job clients.

What I see at many of them, is, that seen from a nearer pov, they just have good paid jobs.

They are bosses of a business, who work all day and there’s not any chance, or better, it’s not intended to retire early.

Failing with ideas : I think a lot about digital assets, but all ideas I had, lead to nothing.
My Etsy shop made lot of work and I didn’t get one single sale.

Only from time to time, I make some deals at opportunities around me. My workshop is full of machines and cars, I want to sell and that drops some bucks in from time to time.

But @Arma , I absolutely know, what you mean and I m at a Point, where I needed someone to take ma by the hand and help me. But ther will be no one to take you by the hand. You will only get hints, how it can work, and it will sift out the ones, who will succeed, and who don’t.

I m a bad advisor, as I m not on the success side, but : breath, think and try. Repeat!

I have a good job and will get a good pension in some years, but damn, I really want more, as I don’t see my intelligence lower than many successful entrepreneurs.
That’s why I will not give up, And so imo I ll die fighting ….

These apps are getting crazy.

Ramble away on some topic and AI will tidy the sentences up and narrate the tidied version in an AI voice...

... or in your own voice (?!$@?)

The app: SpeakPerfect

Have you already made a video with it?
No, I've not had a play with it. I'd rather learn to speak more better in the first place.

People are going to lose the ability to communicate clearly in a few years.
Lol. Maybe so. I think that just means those who can communicate clearly will stand out even more.

Love the idea, rent a space and fill it with sleep/nap pods. Probably would be more profitable than a food stand.
Several years ago a member asked me to source sleep pods for rent at airports where Fly-in-Fly out workers could spend the night before returning to the mine or gas field. I found a Chinese company that made the pods at remarkably low prices. In the process I discovered that the idea originated around 1979 in Japan where people are accustomed to sleeping in tiny spaces.
While visiting Tokyo I found that the hotels also had tiny spaces. Sitting on the WC was impossible if you had long legs, because the opposite wall was so close.

Education is so lacking that I am convinced that humans will be communicating with grunts before long.
