So I noticed a couple days ago, the ads at the bottom of the page (I spend 98% of my time here on mobile) that showed other posts on the forum were mixed in with affiliate links. No judgement, MJ's gotta make his money. As long as I don't get the ads in the middle of my page a la INSIDERS Sub, I don't care.
This is what I saw. Ok, I'll see how deep the rabbit hole goes.
I clicked the obvious affiliate link, $550/day. Since we talk a lot here about our love of gurus, this link screamed "pay lots of money for absolutely nothing".
Here is the "article" on a "reputable" news site it linked to:

First thing I noticed. It grabbed my IP and personalized the article with my current city.
Oh man, they've already got me hooked, this lady is so similar to me! We both own computers and live in the same city! If she can do it, so can I....
Then they hit me with a real picture of a real check if her earnings..
Yeah, so realistic.
After reading the whole article, full of great copywriting tricks to disarm you and ease your fears, you get to the CTA. Yet no where did it actually tell me HOW Id make my $8,000 a week.
I figured I'd share this fun little adventure. If you're into affiliate marketing, here's an example. But more importantly is an example of how sidewalkers think. This right here is like cheese in the trap for a sidewalker.
