Autophagy is happening 24/7, especially during sleep.I also did a 3 day fast, but I was doing it due to some podcast talking about how if you don’t eat anything for that period of time your body starts eating all your dead cells
But the rate of autophagy grows inversely with the amount of energy you have in your system. So more hungry = more autophagy. This is why you never want to eat late at night - you'll inhibit this process. This is also one of the reasons why exercise is healthy - it creates an energy deficit.
After about 3 days of not eating (assuming you start off with your glycogen depleted), you get into the autophagy Fastlane.
It becomes F*cking insane and it eats away old, damaged, and even cancerous cells. Plenty of people have cured "incurable" diseases through fasting.
If this info becomes mainstream, big pharma is in big shit.
