Hi.
My name is Aivis.
I am 36 years young engineer. I am complete slow lane driver.
Has been involved in car business jobs already for 15 years. Started as service advisor, then moved to trainer position and now working as aftersales manager.
I do like my job what I am doing, but I do realize that this is JOB! And it has happening already couple of times that I have been left in need of looking for new job due to economic reason or company's closure. And that I understand since job is the most insecure way even if it looks secure at least for slow lane drivers.
Therefore have been looking into ways of creating the cashflow.
One thing I have done already is bought rental flat that now is giving me positive cashflow after mortgage payment. But in my mind it is very slow wealth building and mostly because of 20-30% down payment needed in order to get mortgage for next flat.
So have read the book last week. I liked it. I liked the way MJ has put it together and I think the most valuable sentence I can take out in order to be successful in any business is:
WHAT I AND MY COMPANY CAN DO IN ORDER TO HELP THE CUSTOMER.
That is only thing what matters. If I help him or her first to solve their problem, he/she will reward you afterwards. And that's what also I see in my daily job that not all times we remember this.
So now I am in process of discovering how I can turn my knowledge in car maintenance and training business into online based products that would be valuable for the folks outside.
I do have dreams about nice house, fast red car and German Sheppard dog, but those are only dreams and will not become true if there is no product in place that my potential customers are willing to buy.
As you MJ wrote. There are things I love, but with them it is not said that I will be able to earn money. I love cars, I like classic cars, I do know a lot of maintaining the cars and customer feedback, surveys and how to make them happy. I know how to deliver training for the car or some feature it has. It is just about realizing is there anything I can make valuable for people out there or I need to learn different skills like programming in order to succeed in online business.
And again. Thanks for adding me and will keep update on my progression.
