I'm a college student right now and decided to start my own business because it's my dream. Till date I haven't earned a single buck, but I have this mindset that no matter what happens I'll do business and gain financial independence. My biggest problem is that I don't have any business idea to work on, also I feel that going out and talking to people about their problems may help in finding the right business opportunity, but again my another problem is that I'm an introvert, talking to people about business is hard for me I feel shy and nervous about it. Do I can still find the right business idea, if yes, then how so?

If you don't have a business idea (which is simply figuring out a problem to solve cheaper, faster, or better than others), start freelancing and work with other businesses.

That way you can get started with no capital, get to work with already established businesses, and learn a ton of useful business skills and knowledge that you can later apply to your own business. And you will be making money while learning!

Being a freelancer is pretty much running a business, you still have to create attractive offers, set the right pricing, get clients, close them, deliver a service, communicate, etc. It's a great way to start your entrepreneurial path.

Well done for posting.

May I suggest you start by thanking and helping people. Would you be too shy to thank someone if they helped you, or too shy to help an old lady who dropped her groceries?

Help people and you’ll get out of your own way.

Oh, and I agree with @Devilery ... start by freelancing and selling your time/services.

Hello Shubham Hire,
Just to mention a point on how to improve your mindset, try some basic etiquette just like @Andyblack suggested this will build your confidence. try to change your appearance to be presentable "how you dress up" you are suggesting how people should treat you. With no time you will stumble on problem that you can solve and monetarize.

Thanks a lot Mr. Andy you just gave a new perspective to me, I'll definitely keep this in mind and will try to interact with people and with time and some patience maybe I'll finally be able to find some good business ideas along with never being shy to talk to people.
Once again thanks a lot ❤

Not just how others treat you, but dressing up will make you feel better about yourself and might improve how you treat and behave yourself.

As with other advice, it's important to understand that changing this will not instantly make you become fastlane ready™️ but a strong mindset is built on an accumulation of strong and effective habits

Absolutely, you can still find the right business idea! Here are a few suggestions:
  1. Start by researching industries that interest you. Look for problems that need solving or gaps in the market.
  2. Network online. Join business forums, social media groups, or online communities related to your interests. This can be less intimidating than face-to-face interactions.
  3. Consider partnering with an extroverted friend or colleague who can help with the networking aspect of your business.
  4. Don't be afraid to start small. A simple business idea can grow into something much larger over time.

Remember, it's okay to feel nervous or shy. Everyone starts somewhere, and it's normal to feel unsure at first. Keep pushing forward, and you'll gain confidence as you go.

Challenge yourself to go and find a person you don't know. Smile at them, give them a comment on something. Find something that they are interested and find common interests. Then Segway into find problems. Introverts or not. Anyone can go and talk to a person.

If you're an introvert who is shy with talking to people, look at this as a way to increase your skillset and confidence it when comes to speaking with people. In the TGRE it's called Transformative passion. You have accomplished something that you have never done before.

In the beginning the task will look very daunting and scary, your brain will want to go back to it's comfortzone or normal routine. On the other hand, if you tell yourself it will be okay, and perform the action anyway.

You will thank yourself. Also by doing this challenge, you just might find a business idea ;)

Hope this helps, Good luck!

Unfortunately the OP posted two years ago, he joined, stayed for 3 days and left. Shame, I would have been interested to hear how he is doing.

There's some good advice here for people who are introverted and are struggling with business ideas.
