Which of these books is good for execution?

I would read stuff that talk about "process". TMF talks about being process oriented vs event (result) oriented. The 10X Rule talks about how to structure your daily activities for success. The ONE Thing talks about focusing daily efforts on the thing that leads to the most success in your business. The 4DX book talks about measuring leading and lagging indicators to measure your progress. Sports coaches have really adopted a process-oriented approach to their programs. A very famous American Football coach named Nick Saban talks about their daily process and defines it really well. He has the success to prove it... but I still don't like Alabama.

Interested in Psychology?

Read: Fyodor Dostoevsky
  • Notes from Underground
  • Crime and Punishment
  • The Idiot
  • Demons
  • The Brothers Karamazov

Translation by Richard Pevear and Larissa Volokhonsky are fantastic.

War and Peace and Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy are quite wonderful as well.

Here are some great Woody Allen movies that take inspiration from Dostoevsky:
  • Crimes and Misdemeanors
  • Match Point
  • Love and Death (this is more of a parody than the other two)

This is the list that everyone needed and the list I was looking for. I think Ego is the Enemy also belongs in the mindset list. I think you should also read Principles by Ray Dalio it’s a good book

Any recommendations on fitness books? (could be subcategory for lifestyle/health books).
Arnold The Education of a Bodybuilder
The Zane Body by Frank Zane
The Bodyfat Solution by Tom Venuto
Martin Berkhan is about to release a book about training and intermittent fasting that is sure to be a bible of sorts. Until then, his website is a great library not just for IF but for no-bullshit fitness in general:
The Leangains Guide
F*ckarounditis

I am missing Tim Ferriss' in the Mindset-Section! 4HWW teaches you what is POSSIBLE and a way to OPTIMIZE your approach to business - and life... Despite its gimmicky surface, every fastlaner should read this!

Here are some tricks I use to read the books in this thread.
giphy-downsized.gif

1. Credit to @eGrizzly thread HERE, I start off with an appetizer (yum).
  • Get Kindle Unlimited
  • Go to Amazon and type "summary + book title"
  • For example, "summary + The 4-Hour Work Week"
  • Read the summary for main ideas
giphy-downsized.gif

2. After I've read the summary, I'm desperately hungry for more! I go on audible.com, then I listen to the whole book for the meat and potatoes (potatoes, yum)!
  • Get audible
  • Listen to the book on your drive to work
  • Listen to the book when you're working out
  • Listen to the book on the toilet (meat and potatoes can cause an upset stomach)
XGXZ9fS.gif

3
. After I've satisfied my hunger, I get dessert. I simply buy the physical book. The author's do a great job sharing KNAWLEDGE. They deserve our support (especially top dawg @MJ DeMarco! Buy the books.
  • Physical books are great to take notes in (good ole' fashion paper, ah)
  • Great for a quick reference
  • You gotta love that new book smell

Boo yeah!

I was looking for this thread for awhile... and then remembered that I had it saved.

Anyways I would like to recommend a new book that is not on the list.

It could be in a category of its own under - Negotiation

It is called - "Never Split The Difference - Negotiating As If Your Life Depended On It" by Chris Voss

I've listened to this book twice on audiobook in the last month and have purchased a copy on Kindle. It is written by one of the top FBI Hostage Negotiators of the last 20 years who has recently transitioned into the business world and teaches these same techniques to anyone who is willing to listen. The simple, everyday principles that he teaches in this book will help you negotiate business contracts, a purchase of a new car and if you have kids, with them too!

He charges about $1500 a day for one of his courses, but you can get the book for like $10-30 bucks depending on which avenue you go.

I don't recommend things very often (other than the Millionaire Fastlane and Unscripted ) but this is a book you MUST read.

Here are two investing classics written by Benjamin Graham. I posted this on a thread yesterday. These books have had an enduring legacy and in spite of their age and advances in technology, they are still considered relevant today. Security Analysis is about the difference between specuating and investing, using and analyzing a company's financial statements to see how much money is actually being made. The Intelligent Investor is much less complex and technical than Security Analysis but is still extremely thorough. Warren Buffett calls it "By far the best book on investing ever written."

You must add Margin of Safety by Seth Klarman. Legendary.

Hey all,
Wondering if you can help me. There's this acquaintance of mine who lives in Pennsylvania. For several years he worked at a warehouse, but got laid off. While he has gotten back to work, he's not in a great place financially. He has a small YouTube channel on which he makes some side income but it is isn't much -- some money from sponsors, a bit from donations, he hosts livestreams in which viewers send him small donations through the superchat. I'm thinking of sending him Unscripted , but wonder if anyone suggests something appropriate for his situation?

I've said it on here before, Jay Abraham-Stealth Marketing.

I don't think Dan Kennedy has any one work of such brilliance, he tends to produce more with less depth. No BS Business Success is a cheap, generic sort of intro to his works.

I like the Time Management for Entrepreneurs and the Guide to Wealth Attraction by Dan Kennedy. Non-marketing books that full of great content. The entire Wealth Attraction book is on YouTube in 3 two-hour segments.

Hey guys,

Anyone know a really good book about self belief that’s no non-sense, straight to the point?

Im looking for something that’s practical, and no fluff.

(all book in mindset section, I read.. I need something more general. Thanks)
