I collect quotes.

I love the advice from Amy Hoy to "Help the people in motion."

But I overheard an even better one by James Schramko in a podcast recently.

"You can't steer a parked car."

It makes us realise how stupid it is to help those who aren't in motion.

If you're in sales (and who isn't?) then start by selling to the people already in motion. Maybe *only* sell to the people in motion?

If you're stuck in analysis paralysis, then start moving and adjust afterwards.

EDIT: Here's the podcast:

This advice on its own is worth more than €1000 seminar.

Thanks Andy for morning wisdom bomb!

Makes me rethink my targeting a bit.

I should stop being altruistic in thinking the "parked" people, who could definitely benefit from product, will make the leap.

There is a classic saying:

'You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink!'

A customer base that is already 'moving' may be more receptive to upsells and slight price hikes, as long as value is presented.

Warm leads.
