Dude... go join the Navy... they will shove discipline down your throat. Especially if you join the SEALS! You should never trust the government anyway. The government is made up of people and policies. As a SEAL you will be doing what SEALS have always done. Swim, swim, and swim some more. I think there's someone on this forum that was a SEAL? @jon.a ?
NO!
I was an Aircrewman. I was taught to swim personally by a SEAL.

Im trying to achieve entrepreneurship, self-mastery and mastery of life (health, wealth, relationships, and happiness)
You're not gonna get anywhere with those types of "goals". Those are feel-good, action faking, Tony Robbins / Tai Lopez / Life Guru - type stuff man. What does achieve entrepreneurship mean? You need to be more specific. What type of business are you starting?
The "Self-mastery" and "mastery of life" mindset is just mental masturbation.

I've read the first few pages, but skipped to respond so please forgive me if I addressed something that's already been said.

Have you ever considered your inconsistent behavior is more of a focus issue? I've been really motivated lately, but every time I sit down to execute I get lost in an endless sea of head fakes. This isn't a new issue. It's followed me since I was an "underachieving" high school student. Graduated with a 2.5 GPA and graduated college with a 2.3!

Instead of complaining about it I finally took some responsibility for my life (at age 26!) and decided to see a specialist. They, within an hour long session, determined I suffer from some serious ADD. Today is the first day on Aderall, and I'm getting a lot of work completed! It's helped me focus on what I really want to accomplish instead of the things that "come up" and try to steal my attention.

ADD is seriously over diagnosed, but once you take your prescription you'll know in 45 minutes whether or not you need it. I can't imagine what I would have accomplished when I was in school, but I can only look to the future.

If it's been this bad of an issue, see a doctor to make sure.

EDIT: I want to make it clear that I'm not condoning going on meds just because. If you've had issues staying on task and completing projects this long then I think it's worth looking into. Medicine will never give you passion or drive, but it can level your brain out to allow you to think and work normally.

If you want to learn consistency one of the best things you can do is structure your days into blocks of time. Be militant about it, where everything from when you wake up to what and when you eat to even mediating your time on the internet etc.
Get your shit together for your day the night before. Start out with a morning routine that you do religiously. Military men are taught to make their bed perfectly first thing. Why? Because they just started their day off with an accomplishment.

Being structured is key to long term consistency. You should not be caught off guard.
Proper preparation prevents poor performance.
If you have a bad day screw it, life is full of bad days. Prepare for the next day and get back at it.

Yeah, you're right. Logically speaking, I know what I should be doing 99.9% of the time. I just wanted someone to kick me in the a$$ so I dont self-sabotage. Today I met up with my accountability group and they shamed the shit out of me. They said that they look up to me as a leader in many ways and to see me F*cking up (I binged on porn, Netflix and other shit for 1.5 days straight). I feel very ashamed of myself and Im now on a 30 day challenge and if I F*ck up this time, I wont be able to live with myself

I know exactly what you're going through and up until very recently I would do the same thing: "30 day challenge" "90 day challenge" "Quit video games for 1 year" "Stop eating carbs" "No more movies" etc etc etc.

And it got me nowhere. Eventually, because I was focused on what I shouldn't do, I'd quit doing one thing, and binge on the other, and back and forth and back and forth. And then feel ashamed and vow to 'work on my willpower' and do something like take cold showers or workout or something. There is value in that, but it's not enough.

You know what I realized that my problem was, deep down? I was trying to come up with a system to automate MYSELF - trying to come up a fool proof way to set myself up so that I could sit back and 'I' would automatically do the work 'for me'. Ridiculous, I know. I think you're doing the same thing though.

You need to realize that it's YOUR CHOICE to kick yourself in the a$$. You don't need an 'accountability group' or a 'mentor'. You need to take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for your actions, 100% of the time, and CHOOSE to HOLD YOURSELF ACCOUNTABLE. In fact, pick up your copy of MFL right now and re-read Chapter 9: Wealth demands Accountability.

And don't just skim through it either, hoping that your brain will automatically absorb it. Make the effort to focus on understanding what that means. Make it real in your mind. Choose to work at understanding the concept of accountability and making that a part of your character and don't do it until you finish.

Also, as an extra little tidbit: Don't multitask. Focus on one thing at a time.

Provide a lot of value, consistently, over the long term.

I don't know the algorithm this forum uses... something to do with our level of "speed".
