I am a current student of his and this is my brief story

The weekend before my mentorship with him began, he gave me bio advice and told me how to approach clients. While impatiently waiting for Monday, I created an Upwork account and implemented his tips. I landed my first four jobs I applied for that day. 100% success rate from just tips. I even up sold my clients offers! I went on to land 6 out of 7 jobs I applied for. Granted these jobs were just article writing (though you can't complain at $15 - $20 per 500 words for easy writing). But, my rate was extremely high for article writing and I still landed the jobs; typical rate is $5 or less.

Having these results immediately WITHOUT ANY FEEDBACK or RATINGS on my profile was huge.

Moving forward. My clients promised me more work ($100 from one client for a few, easy articles) and things were great. Once Monday rolled around and my mentorship actually started with Lex things were going even better! I was on my way to securing the $100 to $200 range for one piece of work. All within the first few days of working with him.

But then shit hit the fan. My Upwork account got banned because I asked a client about payment outside of Upwork. No warning. Just a ban.

Moral of the story - Don't be a rebel or Upwork's "Help" Center employees will meetup, find you, and give you the smack down.

So yea, that set me back mentally. I know for a fact that I was going to land those high paying clients for my copywriting thanks to Lex (I was moving on from my weekend fiesta of articles). So, I've made $150, was going to have top dollar clients, got banned from Upwork and am now on another path to finding other top dollar clients, all in about 5 days.

Nope. Unless you count a few college English classes for general education requirements.

Edit: The english classes helped me write articles. The copywrite and mindset came into play when acquiring the clients through my proposals and bio. I was learning about copy for my desired market during this time

Edit 2: Lex gives me great feedback on any copywriting I do. So, if you can digest and retain the information to put it into action, then you are golden. At the very least, you submit grade A work to your top paying clients while you are growing your copy skills.

That said, I would really not apply if you're not ready to take action and actually f**king write. Dreaming is free, no reason to spend money on it. But if you want results, Lex is your man.

I've been lurking for about 2 months on the forum. I've read some your threads Lex and I think you are worth the 2k you are asking for. Because of your post I've 'just done it' by setting up an upwork account and even getting a couple of clients, for graphic design though not copy writing. The only problem I have is that I don't have 2k, so I guess I'll have to sit out your program. But that's not going to stop me, I'll just have to figure it out on my own.

Before you apply, please stop and SERIOUSLY ask yourself...

• Am I someone who takes action or will take action based on the guidance I receive?
• Am I considering this because I want to learn and grow or because I need to make cash now?
• Am I willing to do whatever it takes to build a copywriting agency from scratch?
• Do I value mentorship and guidance or do I expect Lex to hand me the keys to eternal riches?

This program isn't just to teach copywriting. It's best if you have some writing and/or copywriting experience going into this. This group training program is to give you foundations in copywriting that works, and take you from no business, to having a copywriting business in 2017.

His income is directly related to the amount of time invested in the business... what if he made $5,000/mo but only worked 20 hours a week? What if he made $11,000/mo but was working 90 hours a week?

I don't see Lex claiming that this is a Fastlane type thing where scale is to the moon -- but moreso a break-the-ice endeavor where someone who is struggling to make $500/mo can learn to leverage a new skill and make 4 or 5 figures doing so.

Folks, you have to realize that copywriting is just one spoke on a very large wheel. You can absolutely turn this into a fastlane money tree biz if you want to.

Copywriting gigs can be an excellent way to get your foot in the door with client. Once you have trust with the client, you can provide other services that are either 100% passive or semi-passive.

Maybe their website looks ancient or needs to be updated so that it's mobile friendly. Charge a couple hundred bucks to have it overhauled then charge a monthly fee for regular updates and SEO maintenance. There are standalone companies that do only this.

Maybe they haven't properly set up their Google My Business verification. Maybe they don't even know it exists. You can charge them a couple hundred bucks for that and all it'll take you is 10 minutes to do. Educate them on the importance of getting their biz verified on google because not having it optimized and verified has detrimental effects on how easy it is for customers to find them. There are standalone companies that do only this.

Maybe they suck at managing their social media. Offer to take care of that for a monthly fee. There are standalone companies that do only this.

Maybe they don't track the effectiveness of their ads that they use in television, radio, direct mail, etc. Most small businesses don't track their advertising btw. Offer them phone call tracking for a couple hundred bucks a month. Use a service like CallRail to track where the phone calls are coming from. Service costs you 20 bucks a month or so. There are standalone companies that do only this.

Maybe they've been around for 5 years and only have 10 Yelp reviews. Offer to get them 1 legit review from a customer each month and offer a money back guarantee if you can't get at least 1. You'll have to hustle and pick up the phone to bug people though so meh. It's still a spoke to add to the wheel if you're hungry enough.

Maybe they don't advertise via AdWords or FB ads. Run some traffic to their website for FREE just to show them that you're legit. Use CallRail to track the effectiveness of what you're doing. Charge a monthly fee for AdWords campaign maintenance. I recall Andy Black said that he has some AdWords campaigns that he's been running forever on autopilot. Very passive indeed. There are standalone companies that do only this.

Do you guys understand where I'm going with this? This offer from SinisterLex is far more than just copywriting. This dude is going to set you up with a solid foundation to work from so that you can branch out and never have to worry about money again.

Invest in yourself and learn some skills. Skills pay the bills. And if you can't afford the tuition, learn from books or some courses on youtube. Or check Andy Black/Fox/SinisterLex's gold threads that talk about copy/web design/adwords. There's so much free information out there, there's no excuse for being broke.

Don't look at biz in such a linear fashion. Look beneath the surface and you'll find that your clients are missing out on so much money, it's everywhere and it's yours for the taking if you just take the time to really think it through.

A client that started out as a quick $150 copywriting gig can easily turn into a multi-thousand dollar monthly recurring revenue paycheck for you.

Educate them on the importance of getting their biz verified on google because not having it optimized and verified has detrimental effects on how easy it is for customers to find them. There are standalone companies that do only this.

Maybe they suck at managing their social media. Offer to take care of that for a monthly fee. There are standalone companies that do only this.

Maybe they don't track the effectiveness of their ads that they use in television, radio, direct mail, etc. Most small businesses don't track their advertising btw. Offer them phone call tracking for a couple hundred bucks a month. Use a service like CallRail to track where the phone calls are coming from. Service costs you 20 bucks a month or so. There are standalone companies that do only this.

Maybe they've been around for 5 years and only have 10 Yelp reviews. Offer to get them 1 legit review from a customer each month and offer a money back guarantee if you can't get at least 1. You'll have to hustle and pick up the phone to bug people though so meh. It's still a spoke to add to the wheel if you're hungry enough.

Maybe they don't advertise via AdWords or FB ads. Run some traffic to their website for FREE just to show them that you're legit. Use CallRail to track the effectiveness of what you're doing. Charge a monthly fee for AdWords campaign maintenance. I recall Andy Black said that he has some AdWords campaigns that he's been running forever on autopilot. Very passive indeed. There are standalone companies that do only this.

Do you guys understand where I'm going with this? This offer from SinisterLex is far more than just copywriting. This dude is going to set you up with a solid foundation to work from so that you can branch out and never have to worry about money again.

Invest in yourself and learn some skills. Skills pay the bills. And if you can't afford the tuition, learn from books or some courses on youtube. Or check Andy Black/Fox/SinisterLex's gold threads that talk about copy/web design/adwords. There's so much free information out there, there's no excuse for being broke.

Don't look at biz in such a linear fashion. Look beneath the surface and you'll find that your clients are missing out on so much money, it's everywhere and it's yours for the taking if you just take the time to really think it through.

A client that started out as a quick $150 copywriting gig can easily turn into a multi-thousand dollar monthly recurring revenue paycheck for you.

It's true, he asks a bunch of questions to just sign up. You don't just put in your credit card info and get access to the material. BTW Lex I'm a 15 out of 10 on reaching my goals. The course does cover fundamentals of copywriting and we do go into principles of influence, persuasion, mindset, and basic business structures. But it's best if you at least know what copywriting is before coming into this.

This a group program for working together for group accountability and progress. There will be live training/Q&A calls each week, but it's not a 1:1 mentorship.

Unfortunately I had to turn someone away again yesterday because I just didn't feel he was ready. Did he have the cash? Certainly. Would his investment be worth it for him? In a nutshell, if I don't feel you're going to at least make back what you put into this and then some, I won't let you in.

Op are you making $10000 a month or more?

$2k really isn't all that much to learn such a valuable skill. It's pretty much the equivalent of one or two useless college classes. And, really, copywriting knowledge can help you sell just about anything.

Here's another thing to think about: say you start an importing business that really takes off. You find an amazing product and are able to sell a ton of it. You automate it. Everything is great for a year and you are rolling in money. Then a new competitor enters the market and cuts your price, your distributor increases the cost, your product simply stops selling, someone starts a smear campaign against you, etc. Then what?

It's always nice to have a skill that provides a lot of value to fall back on.

And, like ICK said, it's just one skill of many that will help you create a successful fastlane business.

Hi Dex, the weekly assignments cover a wide range of topics from mindset to copywriting to business strategies and more. Week 6 specifically covers different types of copywriting such as sales letters, email sequences etc. but overall this is not a "learn copywriting course".

It's more of a big picture approach because you can learn specific styles a thousand other places for a lot less, but mostly those are useless until you approach from the right state of mind with the right systems for your goals. This program is for those who want to build a copywriting agency either through high-ticket specialized services, outsourcing, or possibly even both.

You won't spend weeks hand-writing sales letters in this program. This is to show you how to build an agency and make money -- to be able create income from anywhere in the world anytime you want by making yourself valuable to others.

Today is the first day of the program. Enrollment is still open and you can still apply. I'll leave enrollment open through the 15th at the current price. The reason the deadline was set for today is because it made the most sense for everyone to start at the same time so the first group of students starts around the same place and can also support and motivate each other along your journey.
