What's overvalued/undervalued in today's society?

Inspired by a discussion on the daily chat thread... What do you believe is overvalued and undervalued by society today in 2022?

Overvalued:
Travel - I built a life setup I love, why do I need to routinely run away from and incur costs, physically, financially, and mentally for marginally different scenery without all of my custom preferences?

Undervalued:
Excellent understanding of the opposite sex. - I've known many great businessmen that fall to this and suffer decades of heartache, mental torture, and financial damage mostly due to a lack of mastery and understanding of human nature.

What about you guys?.. maybe I'll need to make some adjustments...

I personally think not every form of travel is overvalued, I came here because I have geographical curiosities.

• Automation while starting out.
• Learning.
• Youth.
• Going fast.
• Winning.
• Goals.
• Formal education.
• Exams/grades.
• Ideas.
• Experts.
• Opinions.
• Academia.

Undervalued:

• Reaching out personally to people.
• The skills, knowledge, and resources you already have.
• Turning up on time.
• Manners.
• Doing what you say you'll do.
• Your reputation.
• Kindness.
• Being cheerful.
• The elderly.
• Wisdom.
• *Your* youth.
• Going slow.
• Silence.
• Walking.
• Movement.
• Being content.
• Teachers.
• Nurses.
• Trades.

I think the ability to stay focused on one specific and highly demanding task for several hours is massively undervalued.

i will say sex (pu€€y and the acquisition of it) is overvalued and napoleon hill has talked rampantly about harnessing our sexual desires and energy and to channel it into business or ideas of value creation. This has something to do with the stringent prostitution laws. Prostitution should be legal to avoid a generation of onlyfans victims....
I think just like in 1984 the proles (average folk) were always supplemented with football and porn (to keep them distracted) and nothing has changed as the current generation has a never ending constant supply of sexual and explicit media 24.7 which keeps them occupied and trapped in blissful ignorance... The stigma and taboo subject of paying for sex needs to be addressed and should not be shunned. It would help a lot of men especially get out of misery...

also, and seriously (not to be funny at all), marijuana and hard drugs are severely undervalued. I am all for free enterprise and believe that hard drugs are here to stay. Why not let private industry dictate where it goes instead of people going to the woods or the shady part of town and having to secretly acquire meth or crack laced with battery acid and or other questionable raw materials and god knows what? Imagine a GNC for hard drugs?

We only have limited amount of resources, and focus/attention is one of them. Personally, I think you'd do better to focus on serving demand that's already legal and already accepted.

yea maybe there are other legal means of value, however i do feel that govt is stepping into our lives a bit much.
