Is it you being on a call and giving us some experience or lessons? Or is it you wanted to take up some peoples' time and THEY have the experience and lessons? If it's the latter, you're taking time out of someone's day and there is very little reason for someone to do so unless they REALLY feel like being nice.

Find someone at your level, hop on a zoom call together, have a subject matter to stick to and write down some helpful things to discus that you have experience in, record the call and throw it on here.

Just a word of advice, I don’t think sticking to one’s own age group ever did anyone much good.

Learning from people who know a lot more than you is a much more powerful strategy.

I know I’m 33 and that makes me an “old man” now according to 29 year old young hotshots like @Black_Dragon43, but in my late teens and 20s, I worked hard to learn from people that had actually done something. As result most of my friends today are older than me, some a lot older than me.

I’m sure to some of you this may come across like us older guys are feeling left out, but I’m legitimately trying to help and have no desire to participate in the call. Age group crap is, however, your mistake to make.

I am so happy that I have to share this information with you all. Thank to @rpeck90 my app is finished and running.

Richard helped me with the configuration of my web application and with things I knew nothing about. These were things that my hosting provider's support and artificial intelligence could not help me with Thank you richard again.

The easier part of the task is behind me. From now on, I will try to gradually gain clients and I think that you will be able to help me think of the exact strategy at our weekly meeting.

For anyone deeply interested, I will write an update to my thread this week. I just wanted to share with you today because this is a big milestone I have achieved

(But Zane! I'm not available at that time. Make yourself available. Commit. This isn't an easy road.)

The KEY is CONSISTENTLY meeting. That day/time each week or each month, NO MATTER WHAT.
Be there, help brainstorm, all speak. Hold each other accountable.

And be active on the forum. Give back. Mention things the group is doing. All grow together.

Agreed.

Having weekly accountability to a task is great, and these calls can be incredibly valuable for that purpose.

However a lot of these "weekly goals" can be done in a matter of hours. When this happens, it indicates a fear of success. A fear of progress. A fear of actually moving the needle...

If your weekly goal is a simple task that takes a few hours, worse, a few minutes, you need to set better weekly goals, goals that actually move the meter. Some of these weekly objectives are far too simple, slow-moving, and are more symbolic to give one the illusion of progress, when in actuality, they are being terribly unproductive.

What can you all do to increase your efficiency and roadmap to meaningful results., and set more meaningful goals for the week?

good call yesterday. proud of you!!

yep, just get organized and then be flexible as well. some calls you spend 90 minutes helping ONE of you. others, you go round robin and talk out ideas ... just MAKE SURE that EVERYONE speaks and participates.

look for opportunities to help each other and hold each other accountable! like when Dub said he had trouble focusing, one of you take it upon yourself to help him FOCUS on something next week. chase him, call him, email him, msg him.

that is what accountability groups are about! AND find a way to meet up in person too.

we have 5 or 6 of us meeting up in ATL. two stayed last night at my house, one is one the way now. we are all going to Chattanooga for part of this week to crash in an AirBnb together and work / brainstorm / talk.

BUILD that network! get out of your comfort zone!!

This week I sadly can't be there since I am playing in a musical.

For the accountability, I got 310€ in jobs this week from simply letting people know that I am doing this again.
Flyers are taking a lot of time to arrive, so I cannot say how they did.

Next firm dating, let me know and Ill get it more visible on the forum's front page. Tag me daily if need be. This is on my list to have these events more known, beyond a thread.

Have a look at @mikecarlooch 's YouTube channel for a handful of the interviews he did. I think starting with forum members is a great idea. Who doesn't want to give back to the forum, and who would refuse helping a teenager get started?

i will review the two courses and their layout and construction comparing them to ______ as a test case and will use _____ software to create a clear wireframe that i can handoff to a VA to do _______ and i will have it done by ______ day and time.

That is too many L's ....... be clear and consistent. Don't over commit. Don't under commit. Be clear on your big 3 to move you toward your goals AND get it DONE!!

Start adding in consequences if needed. Notice how this is the most we have gotten out of @Subsonic ? The 1000 pushups had SOME motivation. PUSH each other. Find ways to help motivate. GET THINGS DONE! Plow through each other's excuses. That is what an accountability call is all about.

Small, consistent, impactful W's each and EVERY week. Let's go!

part of the reason for an accountability group is to hold you to specifics, AND to push you DURING the week to make sure you get things done, AND to hold you accountable when you don't

@ElDiablo ... you can't have an L and then post a weak a$$ thing for the next week.
get specific, measurable, actionable

@MaximOntheRoad ... get more specific. you will work 8 hours, talk to 3 funnel experts, try 7 variations. the group should have spent a few minutes helping either figure out what is wrong or getting you a connection to someone that can figure it out

You've gotten some of the Yin and Yang that is @ZCP and @Andy Black . So far I think what you'all've discussed is motivational, get started stuff, right?

Hopefully some of you are getting started.

I have found that pretty quickly new biz owners get bogged down in the marketing questions. Shiny object syndrome.

I thought a call about the 3 M's of Marketing (see thread here) could help give you newer folks a framework for crafting messages and deciding what marketing mediums to focus your efforts on.

Andy might say I'm helping you solve problems you do not have yet (and he might be right), but it's a common thing I see start ups (and established companies) face, so better to prepare you now.

Of course if you all want a general topic or a different speaker, that's cool. I just like the momentum that has started here with this and want to do my part to keep it going.

(Please don't ask me to discord though. Lol.)
