100%. The shorter form of social media awards a dogmatic message - when there is plenty of nuance in reality. What is needed is a more extended conversation, but I think many don't have the attention spans.

I think AI can destroy the action-faking 'I need time to learn everything' excuse now.

I have been using NoteGPT and many other AIs to cut down learning time pretty quick.

I'm more of a speed-reader, and I don't wanna watch whole 2-hour videos. So AI helps tons now to chop everything down to the bare necessities...so I can just move on and use the tidbits to solve problems.

Just did this and was hit way harder than I expected. Crazy how much this stupid language model feels like a real person.

This might sound harsh, but this is Tom's message to others. And the message in part is look ahead, not behind; to do better, go farther.

What you did was share a link. Which seemingly no one watched.

How easy to parrot someone else's words, someone else's thought.

Only to have it die for lack of impact.

I do not think you truly heard the message of the video.

I challenge you to watch this again. Then, just as he was obviously inspired by other minds to write his script, I challenge you to use this moment and this content to inspire you to write an impactful post.

Attempt for yourself the act of having your own impact on someone's life. However big or however small, let it be the impact that you bring.

Use your own examples. Bring your own synaptic connections to it. Practice the art of being you.

Then, and only then, can you authentically say "This is my message to others".

12% tax (it can go as low as 8%) will quickly pay for itself for most freelance/one-man-agency style business owners.

Maybe Europe different but I thought the same when I saw $59 flights to Latin America until pushed purchase and the extras came up:

$120 one bag checked 50 Lbs each way
$50 personal bag 10 lbs
$19 seat choice each way or sit in middle seat back row next to stinky toilet
$59 tourist tax
$70 other tax
$5 when on flight bottle of water

Still actually not bad when added up for international flight.

I think it's more because some people talk in absolutes: "You need XYZ"

I heard a podcast where two ladies were saying "If you don't have a community you don't have a business." That's because they were community coaches. They're selling their worldview to whoever is listening. They probably believe their own kool-aid too.

As soon as I heard them say that I turned off the podcast. I don't trust people who think their way's the only way.

This is awesome lol. Happy (belated) birthday MJ.

As an aside, I love The Great Gatsby movie & book. It's one of the few movies I "own" (on Youtube).
I don't read a lot of fiction but I quite like the work of F. Scott Fitzgerald because of his unique way of telling an engaging story through unlikeable and unrelatable characters with confusing plots. When I learned that he went through life as an unhinged alcoholic, it made a lot of sense.


I would like a remake of The Beautiful and Damned movie to come out of Hollywood at some point, one that isn't a silent film from the 20s lol.
