So I've been learning copywriting,
And figured
Half of my work is getting the "copy" to the right people.

This became clear to me after reading the boron letters.
Getting a solution while not having a problem is
backasswards.

I'm trying to learn copywriting ( a solution )
That does not seem to have a problem.
That actually sounded pretty stupid considering all businesses need copywriting...

I'm currently learning website copywriting.
But I don't have a focus since there's no problem to solve.

I'm thinking some people HATE writing.
That they would rather eat sand than write for their website.

This is something that came out of my head and don't know if it is really true.

My question is:
How do you find problems / a starving crowd?

Listen to pain points from real life? ( I don't go outside much )
Twitter? ( Can't seem to find anything relevant, I think I'm using it wrong. )
Google analytics?

This world is not perfect and there are always problems to be solved.
My "sixth sense" problem finding skills are not yet fine tuned.

I think once I have learned the skill of finding problems of people
I'll find a "road" guiding my everyday actions.

Hmm,
Is this the right approach?
I don't know why it wasn't so obvious to me.
It's been repeated again and again and Im only starting to realize...

Any help for this confused kid would be very much appreciated

Have you checked freelance websites for people looking for others to write their website content and copy writing? If there is a need for that, then I would say that would be a good avenue. Have you also maybe thought about researching your local mom and pop gift stores locally? With COVID-19 these small business that sell novelty items and flowers, retro items, antiques, etc.. will need to re-evaluate avenues of income. You can maybe reach out to ones that have good reviews in the community and suggest moving into an ecommerce application or website. This can potentially open up a few options for you to solve and maybe even lead to a local client for web content... This is what came to mind after reading the thread, so just my opinion.

@Andy Black care to take this one? Lol
Oh boy. Thanks! :)

@Fnesse ... The-J did that because he knows I've soooo many threads to help people in your position that I likely don't know where to begin.

Hmmm... maybe I'll just dump a few on you and you can let us know which resonate?

Thank you so much! @Andy Black

I remember your post back then when I was lurking this forum ( still am )
Finding bits of gold and wisdom.

This post made SOOOOO much of an impact.

Thank you @Andy Black.
This post was an eye opener.

Whenever I stray away and forget this,
I always get lost.

Lessons learned:
1. Purpose - You do not write copy for businesses,
You help them reach and communicate their audience.
( It's a bit scuffed, I'll get it clearer over time. )
2. You don't need another book - I'll learn things when I need to.
I'll cross that bridge when I get there.
3. It's not about YOU - Think in terms of helping people and things get Soooooooo much simpler.

My plan:
Make someone's day by solving their pain / problem.
( Preferably using and training my copywriting skills )

Future me will know what to do from there.

Again,
Thank you @andy
You're really helping this rookie out !
