For that job I sent an application of 500+ words in the form of an article that was required in the job.
Seems like you just now started to listen to the advice given in this thread
it baffles me how some say: providing value is easy.
No. It's not. Providing value may be simple, but it's not easy. It takes dedication and willpower. 99% of all people lack that.
Haven't had any jobs yet? Here is a quick how-to (notice that this is not recommended once you get started): Start working right away.
If the application says: "I need 5 articles that sell my product"
Then get to work. All other applicants will be busy writing their application.
Write one out-of-this-world-great article, send it over, write some great way how you will take the client from point A to point B.
Then at the end you say: I wrote an article for you that will provide great value for your customers. Consider it a bonus
Giving away is pure gold. Also try to find interesting synonyms. Interesting, not strange.
Perhaps someone have different experience with this.
