I will try to share more technical aspects, however, in my opinion this is really only 20% of success. 80% is the mindest and getting started with an activity that allows you to get into a positive feedback loop, no matter how small that activity may be in the begining. Just make sure you get into a positive feedback loop and get started!
Then share that mindset?

Then share that mindset?
This video has made a huge difference for me:
View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjKYJjCqUv4

I think content from Sam Ovens in generell is very huge regarding mindset.

Also, I advise everyone to take this personality test: Free personality test, type descriptions, relationship and career advice | 16Personalities

I would love for you guys to share your results here in this thread if you take it and we can discuss a bit about how you can use it in your business.

Personally, im an ENFJ... and just really consciously found out about this around 2 months ago. My big weaknesses in Business are the "N" and "F" components.

N = Intuitive, which means I like to be creative, fiddle with things, be random and try out new things. The way this often plays out in reality for a lot of people however (and it also did for me), is in chasing silver bullets or shiny objects.

Finding out that I had this trait, allowed me to make sense of it and now I work much more on my "S" or Observant skills. I pre-structure and plan my week and dont allow my "Intuition" to sidetrack me as much during day to day business.

The other component "F" = Feeling, is the big one that has damaged a lot of my progress in business in the past. Whenever I had big setbacks, it was ALWAYS.. and I really mean always.. literally every single time.. an emotional thing that messed me up. Now, I have decided for myself to make business decisions much more from the "T" = Thinking perspective and this has also helped me out a lot.

Would love to hear what personality types you guys get in the test. Also a word of caution: you personality is never fixed, its maleable and always changing. Also, dont be discouraged if you end up getting a result, that you think is not ideal for entrepreneurship. You can always change your traits and move into the direction that you want to go, you are not bound by anything. Nonetheless, the test has still taught me a lot and helped me to make a lot more sense of many things, so im really looking forward to discuss personality types with you guys!

Day #26

Pomodoro Sessions: 10
Sleep: 7hrs

To dos that I completed:
- Fixed a problem with one of my clients where people who purchased where actually still getting abandoned checkout emails after buying --> With Klaviyo it seemed like the problem was due to people falling into the flow twice or even 3 times because they initiate checkout multiple times. The way I solved this, is by adding an additional filter, that people who were in the flow in the last 4 days are not allowed to enter it twice.
- Setup site abandonment + abandoned cart flow for another client
- Sent a portfolio of my work to someone who has a fbook agency. He wants to expand his offering to email marketing and im open collecting % of revenue with him. If he gets me clients, this will be awesome because its another source of business.
- Setup a split-test for welcome series of another client (reviews and pictures of customers, really curious to find out how it will perform).
- I setup the main steps of another new client and I documented the steps so I have a checklist for the next time

Realizations:
- I really think im spending a lot of time on service fulfillment at the moment. This is kinda intentional, but at the same time I just have that urge and feeling to make more money and I want to make more sales and take on more clients. I guess the answer is YES: do more sales, however, only focus on BIG clients who will make me more money, because the workload really is the same whether its a small or a big client. Usually the bigger clients even complain less and are more pleasurable to work with

Loving your progress! Impressed with the consistency of your updates.

I'm an email copywriter and am also connected with a few people who are good at the technical aspect of things (such as setting up flows). If you ever need a resource or an intro, let me know - I might be able to help.

Keep up the good work!

- feeling kind of down today because it felt unproductive and like I didnt achieve anything, but I will listen to the 2 sales calls and try to improve and make it better for next time.
- Re-Listened 30min to the sales call I had today to take my learnings from it, was very eye-opening what I can do better

You've got this mate! Look at that optimistic view you had of the same problem yesterday - look at it from that lens! Get some good sleep, learn from the calls, make notes on what you can improve and keep going.

You've got this ;)

Love the consistent effort. Every now and again I find it's worth pausing, reviewing everything that has happened so far and see what you've learned. Here are a few questions that might be interesting for you to answer.

What were the 20% of my activities that created 80% of my desired results?

What were the 20% of my habits that led to 80% of my success?

What were the 20% of my activities that created 80% of my problems and unhappiness?

How could I 10x my income in a way that’s fun and exciting for me?

If I could only work 2 hours per day – what would I focus on?

If I could only work 2 hours per WEEK – what would I focus on?

What are the top 3 activities I use to fill time to feel as though I've been productive?

Calendar Week 34 Update:

- 45 Cold Outreaches (E-Mail)
- 0 Strategy Sessions
- 0 New Clients Closed

Really not happy with the results this week.. but I have 3 strategy sessions lined up already for next week Monday + Tuesday so im expecting to catch it all up next week. What I noticed is that this sales stuff really does seem to come in waves/streaks.

I hired 2 leadgeneration people last week, so we will be getting much more new leads into the funnel now and I should be able to fill my calendar much better with sales calls.

What I really learnt as well, is that cold emails are useless if not followed-up with calls. Priority next week is to hit the phone twice is hard for every email that gets sent out, there is no other way to make this happen.

That's it for now.. not a big update, but not much has happened other then that I'm grinding away...

Next update on Sunday :)

Calendar Week 35 Update:

I'm currently in Tbilisi and busy with my Georgian Business Setup. I hired a Lead Generation Specialist via Upwork that generated leads, however none of them were approached via direct email outreach.

For next week, I will go full force with loom videos + cold text emails (50/50) split-testing the method that @BlackMagician shared in his post.

- 0 cold emails sent
- 2 Strategy Sessions
- 0 Clients closed

I have 2 Strategy sessions aligned for next week, hoping to close someone next week! Will give you guys an update next Sunday.

Day #3

Pomodoro Sessions: 5
Sleep: 6.5 hrs

Things completed:
- Closed a new client!! (I knew it was just a matter of time now with the number of sales calls and phone calls I was doing, so im really happy about this)
- Had 2 more Setting Calls, one of them turned into a sales call next week, the other one was kind of a sketchy guy, let see.
- Did 2 hours of service fulfillment work
- Im starting to connect with more people from my industry now, top priority is really to network and talk to others and figure out whats working for them and whats not. I need to really improve my presence on Linkedin to stepup the game.

Next update tommorow.

Day #4

Pomodoro Sessions: 4
Sleep: 9 hrs

Things completed (Sales):
- I closed 2 more clients today (quite unexpectedly, lol). One of them came from a referall of the new customer that I won on Wednesday, and the other new client was a normal lead that I had the first call with this week on Tuesday. I guess it really is "Regression to the mean", since I had so many leads that didnt close last month in September, this month all made up for it.

Here's an Overview of October:

TOTAL # Email Outreaches319
TOTAL # Follow-Up Emails813
TOTAL # Erstgespräche (First Calls)14
TOTAL # Strategy Sessions (Sales Calls)8
TOTAL # Clients Closed4

Service Fulfilment:

I have really reached my capacity of what I can handle alone now. I closed 3 new clients this week, total of 5 stores that I need to set up email marketing for. (For 2 of the clients, they purchased the setup package for 2 seperate stores each).

Total money made this month: around 8k Profit EUR.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting myself to hit the cap this soon (i.e. that maximum workload of the clients would only result in me making around 8k Profit, I thought I could handle more).

Anyway, the next step now is to record the entire process of setting up these 5 stores in the coming 2 weeks and hiring some people to handle this kind of work in the future.

One thing im unsure about, is what to do with the 2 VA's I have currently, who are doing leadgeneration. They are doing a great job and I dont want to damage the momentum they built up over the past 3 weeks... but on the other hand, I dont have time for anymore appointments or sales calls and even if I closed new clients, no capacity to do the service fulfillment. What would you guys suggest?

Next update tommorow!

Does that method of forecasting is related to stuff that Travis Sago teaches? :D
If I remember correctly he had a way to forecast $/recipient based on email list current metrics
Hey, no I did not learn it from Travis Sago, I just found out about him from you :) Thanks for the tip. Regarding my forecasting method, it basically looks at repeat purchases of customers and depending on the ratios of 2x buyers/1x buyers and 3x buyers / 2x buyers, I can empirically estimate how the list will perform (since i have a large dataset from existing customers).

Its 2022 and im back! :)

Pomodoro Sessions: 12

- Worked on systemization and delegation of new lead generation method
- Had a business call with one of my clients, there is a new stakeholder (COO) involved, who is sucking up a lot of my time and very annoying to work with. I am implementing an extra free of 150Eur/Hr for any additional tasks they want to give me, in order to be protected from unneccessary workload. Protecting my time is extremely important now.

Hi Champion (if it is your name)
I am just starting out. My Name is Biswas. Just wanted to know how did u get clients? And yeah it would be great if we connect
Hey Biswas,

I have to admit the 3 clients so far came from my social circle since I was already doing ecommerce at an intermediate level. I know other store owners who know other store owners and so on...

Im building content on my instagram + linkedin now and going to connect with alot of store owners in the coming weeks. About 1-2 weeks after adding the connections and they saw my content / know what im about, I message them in DM and arrange a discovery call. If they are a good fit, we arrange a sales call and I close them --> This is the plan for converting cold clients.

I will keep you updated how it goes.

Awesome stuff, I've been planning on doing the same recently and I also believe the potential is there. Not enough agencies doing quality e-mail marketing, too many doing PPC.

I'm a copywriter by trade but have been doing a lot of e-mail marketing for clients and figuring out Klaviyo. It's pretty awesome.

Nice to meet you!
Hey Simon,

DAY #5

Total time worked: 16 Pomodoros
Total time slept: 5hrs 36 min (Went to sleep very late)

Summary of the To Do's that I completed today:

- Prepared onboarding information & Video for Jamie (new intern #1 starting next week monday)
- Prepared onboarding information & Video for Alison (new intern #2 starting next week monday)
- Continued watching CTR Accelerator (Course for Video AD Creatives total duration 3h 30min today, tommorow I will finish it)
- Improved the cold script for instagram DM of Leads that we generate and discussed it with my co-worker who is writing the DM's to our leads, I think we will have much better response rates now

All in all, I felt like I was much more distracted from productive work today, I guess its because I switched tasks a lot and also skipped more breaks than usual from my pomodoro sessions. I think its highly essential to plan your day right (--> Fail to Plan = Plan to Fail).

I have a good plan for tommorow, so I expect it to be a lot better. It will only be a half day, since its Saturday, so im also looking forward to that.

Summary of the To Do's that I completed today:

- Completed CTR ACCELERATOR COURSE
- Got started with some creatives and found a lot of interesting stuff I can do with Tiktok, Instagram and Mojo Filters for Pattern Interrupts/Scroll Stoppers for my Video Ads
- I did not reflect on the week, even though I wanted to. I will do it tommorow.

Day #7

Today was my day OFF, but since I said i'l post daily to update in this thread, I'd still like to share:

- I reflected a lot about what I have done so far and also planned my week ahead.
- Got a really good system to make my reflection sessions more efficient on the weekend, its a Combination of Qualitative (Questions I ask and answer myself) and Quantitative (things I track on a daily basis to see how they influence my progress) KPI's.

Total time worked: 16 Pomodoros
Total time slept: 7h

Summary of the To Do's that I completed today:

- Reworked the design for my instagram channel posts, taking everything to the next level and going to have it look much more professional now
- Calculated the pricing that I will get started with on launch with my new service packages
- For my service package there are 3 pricing plans, for pricing plan basic I have completed the sales page, the other 2 sales pages I expect to complete tommorow, since the baseline of the work has been done.

I will be flying 20 hours tomorrow (12h from Cancun to Istanbul, then 6h transit and then 3 hours from Istanbul to Berlin). I will use the full 6h transit in Istanbul as productive working time, so I deffinetly will also post tommorow.

Day #11

Pomodoro Sessions: 0 (did not track, although I worked approximately 2-3 hrs)
Sleep: 8 hrs

To dos that I completed:

- Onboarded intern #1, she has work to do for the next 1 week
- Fine-tuned the website by cutting a lot of words out. Its really incredible how much I have learnt about copywriting in the last 1-2 weeks, just by following the principle "Less is more".
- Tommorow I will make a "Creative Plan" where I Schedule how and when im going to record every single one of the creatives that I need for my ad campaign funnel (Fbook + Instagram Ads). The website is more than ready now, if I really go all out on the creatives the next 2 weeks, I am confident that mid June I can launch a good campaign that has a REAL CHANCE of working.
- Tommorow I will also onboard intern #2
- All in all, im looking to do some more reflection this weekend and kind of take it easy, because i know that June/July will be tough with a lot of work ahead. It will be laser-like machine focus to reach the goals I have set for myself.

Next update tommorow,
