Great to finally meet "most" of you. I am really appreciative of the hospitality, wisdom and most importantly to me the personal stories & journeys shared. Very inspirational stuff in many ways.

If you didn't get any value out of this, you were probably expecting an "exact steps" tutorial on how to get rich or some other hand holding exercise. That's not where the value in this group lies.

Not every talk or presentation was applicable to my business or anyone's business for that matter, but if you look for the similarities in how people from different backgrounds, ages, cultures, education levels, etc. have become successful and you apply those principals in your life and business it will have a profound impact on your life and your business.

That much I know for sure!

“There’s no luck, only probabilities”
- MJ DeMarco

Attending this event proved to be one of the best choices I made in life.

I came in with nothing to offer but an open willingness to learn and a burning desire to succeed.

What I received was more than I could ever ask for.

Thank you…

...to all the speakers for taking the time off to help others. The wisdom, tools, and knowledge you shared will not be wasted.

…to those who I had a chance to connect with - you guys(and girls) are awesome individuals. You made me realise that I'm not alone in this journey. You changed my belief system and expanded my mindset to a whole new level.

...to the people behind the scenes for putting together a life-changing event. The whole process went smoothly because of your hard work.

...and to @MJ DeMarco for doing what you do. Words can't describe how much you impacted my life. I didn't get a chance to sincerely thank you in person(that's why I said I would like to talk to you). I will do so through the contribution of your tribe and in person at the next summit.

Like @ZCP and @Eskil mentioned, I'm not going to let this whole thing go to waste. For the next few days, I will let everything sink in, create goals and break them into actionable plans to execute.

Wut, was Klaw at the summit ?

Was not Klaw.

How old are you...like 6?

To your credit, I'm guessing u would talk to people, be conversational, and not walk around ignoring everyone like you are King Farook among the peasants.

I only spoke with ONE person who felt like this summit "wasn't what he expected" and that the presentations were supposedly "disappointing".

Ya mean the guy that talked to no one, concealed his name tag, had his head down the whole time, ate lunch with no one, and had his ear plugs in during presentations!?

NAWWWWWWW, he should have loved the Summit!

True story!

well then maybe this forum is not for you.

We already knew that. @Vigilante even alluded somewhere in a post (some days ago) that he should double-check his reasons for attending, spidey-senses were already tingled. In fact, I almost did not approve that ticket transfer. And I should have trusted my gut. Someone who would have found value in the ticket (another life shift) didn't get to go. And we could have saved this gentleman a few bucks.

Other than stated above, this will be my only comment on it. I'm not gonna talk about one sour apple among the orchard when the orchard was the best ever. I'm just sad that we missed the boat on that one, both for his sake to save time/money, and the person that didn't get to go.

2) Make it your goal to some day be a presenter at a future summit. Start today by writing down what the title of your presentation would be, and imagine yourself standing up there speaking to the room about your accomplishments and hurdles (the same accomplishments and hurdles you may have yet to face - but that you are soon about to get into).

Absolutely! And we like failure stories too! I was quite impressed by @Get Right 's laundry list of "occurrences" before he hit pay dirt.

Not every talk or presentation was applicable to my business or anyone's business for that matter, but if you look for the similarities in how people from different backgrounds, ages, cultures, education levels, etc. have become successful and you apply those principals in your life and business it will have a profound impact on your life and your business.

That's always a concern every year. A RE guy might not find value in a talk about PPC and vice versa, but in every instance, I found the stories and presentations valuable to me, even though I have zero chance of owning a golf course and zero chance of owning an ironworker store ... the value is in hearing the process, the mindset, the reaction to failure and trials, and the stories...

Attending this event proved to be one of the best choices I made in life.

Great to hear it! YES!

And thanks to MJ for mathematically showing us this.

At only of a cost of $101... :playful: he got lucky!

Super grateful to MJ and the folks that made the summit happen. I know that there is always way more that goes into putting events on than attendees realize.

Super grateful for how approachable everyone was. The most successful folks seemed to be the most approachable and willing to help and share.

This was an event unlike any other I've attended. There was an incredible diversity (of age, experience, business model, etc.), yet an incredible unity at the same time. I could approach any attendee, stick out my hand and say "Hi, I'm Dave . . . " and know that I was about to meet an awesome person and have a very interesting conversation.

I was going to post something last night, but from the second I walked through the door at home my six-year climbed in my lap and refused to let me get up. Guess that took priority

I know it's been said a hundred times by a hundred people, but I just have to agree that this event is like no other. I typically go to 2-4 events per year, ranging from a few hundred to nearly ten thousand, and they all feel the same. Add to that the fact I am, as Lighthouse described in one of these threads, a hardcore introvert. Just being around a lot of people physically drains me and I usually have to take a few breaks during the course of the event.

No so for this one.

Talking to people was just so easy. Where I can usually last 45 minutes at networking events, I was talking to people for over 4 hours on Saturday and never felt better. Being around so many people with the same goals and values was like being around family. So many people I could swear I had met before. Even the Fastlaners whose success intimidates me (looking at you @AllenCrawley ) were genuinely happy to talk to me and probably would have wrapped me up in a bear hug if I got too close. I never got the feeling people were using this gathering to advance their own goals. Every single person I talked to was more interested in helping me solve my problems than talking about theirs. And yes, there are a few people I met who could add rocket fuel to my projects, I would rather help them reach their goals than use them to reach mine. And I would be surprised if anyone there felt otherwise. I cannot say enough about how amazing this group of people are.

So many good conversations, so many goals written down and committed to, so many friends made. If I left without your digits, PM me and we'll get to work together. And "inshallah", I will have a ticket next year. And if not, I'll still show up, just for the people and the conversations. And remember @LightHouse 's challenge. There better be at least 120 new Notable/Gold threads by this time next year.

I think @Scot will be ready by then and hopefully will submit a speaker application. @James Fend . @Ronak . @Jamie T . @Vick @JAJT .

And I think there are a dozen people that were at the summit that might not be in the headlines today, but who likely will emerge as top candidates for 2019.

Third early vote for @Ravens_Shadow

I plan to attend anyway, but will state publicly if he speaks I am 100% committed, right now, to be in the audience.

I couldn't resist the temptation of putting together a quick "video" (even though I regretfully didn't shoot any actual video during the event, lol). Yes..I know, I know... Eskil...you're "that video stabilizer guy" and all you came up with is a slideshow? Lol... :D

Next year I'll try to get some video clips of the networking, dinners, personal testimonials, and such.

Anyway, this was just a quick edit I threw together of some of the good photos that have been posted here, nothing fancy. Hope y'all like it! *spoken with a southern drawl* (did I say that right, @Get Right )?

EDIT: Looking at it again, I realize @LightHouse is always our resident photo bomber :)

Inshallah I would be blessed with the opportunity, I submit the following talk title for next year:

How to get your kids (and family) to put down the damn game controller / Iphone and get to work on the Fastlane!
... instead of trying to do it all by yourself after the kids go to bed, get them involved in the 'family Fastlane plan'. Spend time with them while making progress.

That right there would be worth the price of 10 tickets.

@Get Right your talk blew me away.

I confess I almost skipped it. The subject matter didnt interest me. Until you started talking. And I realized that your story... is all of our story. The discovery. The attempts, the failures. The win. The CENTS. The home run and the beautiful end game.

While I could only understand part of what you said (due to the drawl) the parts I did understand, I loved. You are an excellent, captivating winner and next year I would like to hang out with you fire side for a while as I have much more to learn from you. I'll bring the whiskey.

Well done, sir. Well played.

And he has a lot of "pop" in his golf swing. (bell ring) "Big hitter, the Lama"... It was nice to have @Get Right come play the course. It is also good to know the inside info on his forum name.
