I'm actually a developer for a mobile development company. If you're looking for resources I can help you out. If you're planning on learning to program then there are many places to start, I would recommend picking up a course on Udemy on the type of development you want to learn and start building your knowledge bank from there, the learning curve for programming is really steep in the beginning so if you're planning on learning don't give up it'll get easier as you get better.

if you're planning on going the contracting route, I would suggest you analyze how valuable a mobile application or website would be to your company and what your budget is. it's more expensive to contract a company in the states but it makes communication easier and usually you'll receive better quality work from these companies. If you're looking to start with just a simple bare minimum contact than outsourcing to another country won't be so bad, just make sure they're using the latest technologies so if you end up switching over to another company, your project can be easily worked on.

If you have any questions send me a message

Given your lack of experience, I suggest looking into white-label marketplaces like sharetribe, (not affiliated, just only one i've heard of), to start rather than investing a large amount of money to get custom development.

It'll be much easier and quicker to get started without investing a lot up front.

That's an awesome idea, can I ask why you want it to be web-based instead of starting with a mobile application first? In my opinion, i feel like it would benefit you to start on a mobile application like most of those user-driven applications such as uber, lyft, ect.

my apologies I actually meant web based in the sense its online, that included the mobile app. A mobile application would be the great majority of the traffic

Hello, I'm inquiring here because I'm not really sure where to turn. I recently have created a rather massive business model that is 100% Fast lane inspired, zero over head, huge margins and countless customers. My biggest issue is I'm illiterate when it comes to web/app design and I'm not sure where to begin or what the going rate for programmers is, do people outsource their work overseas? any recommendations or input would be greatly appreciated.
Have you tried upwork.com? There are many web developers and designers worldwide that you can hire by the hour or by the job. It may be cheaper than working with someone local. You may have to deal with different timezones which will make it a little inconvenient to communicate. I am currently busy with other work during the day and skype with my developers in India late at night before I go to bed or early in the morning when I wake up.

Hi, i believe you can outreach multiple developers online who are ready to take work and infact a vast proportion of IT insustry relies on outsourcing. Even the big brothers in the industry looks at outsourcing at times. So you can very easily look for the options.

I can certainly offer you a Quality driven product at competitive prices.
Feel free to reach out if still interested to work on your idea.

Thanks,
