He says there’s True Entrepreneurs and then there’s Self Employed, and everyone else.
True Entrepreneur: Somebody who wants to build a giant Corp with employees to change the world.
Basically there are 6 essential traits that you MUST have to be a “true entrepreneur:
No mention of how to cultivate these traits if you don’t have them.
What are y’alls thoughts? Do you agree?
Personally I find it a little off putting to say there’s no hope if you’re lacking a trait, that entrepreneurship is a coin flip, and that someone whose content with only leaving a family legacy is not a “true entrepreneur”.
You can even hear the strain in the interviewers voice discussing these topics. The TMBA guys were regular family joes before jumping into entrepreneurship.
Honestly, as someone whose lacking in a couple of these traits, this makes me want to work harder to be successful, as a F*ck you to Gino.
You can’t just check a box and say you have it or you don’t. Personality traits don’t work that way. It’s a spectrum.
There’s a way to guide people away from the #HustlePorn crowd but this ain’t it chief...
