Hit me up with ideas! I'm going nuts working from home with my 4.5 year old!
My situation: I'm stuck at home for the next 30 days with my little one. My wife stays home with her (she's starting school next year), but our rental is tiny and I'm already feeling the walls close in. Usually daycare breaks up the week but nope, not for a whole month! And since we moved interstate, no family around to help give us a breather.
Here's the kicker - I tried the early bird routine, starting at 5:30am for some quiet work time. Guess what? The little monkey has adapted and now she's my early morning sidekick! And working night shift while she's asleep? Well, my brain might turn to mush, but I'm desperate enough to consider it!
Looking for your tips on escaping the house to work - can I camp out at cafes? Are libraries too quiet for sales calls (pretty sure yelling "Show me the money!" might get me kicked out )? And what's the deal with co-working spaces - are they just social clubs where no work gets done?
Maybe I need noise-canceling headphones? I don't know, I feel like I've turned my work life up to super hard mode!
Would love to hear from other legends juggling WFH with little ones. How do you stay sane? Where do you escape to? Share your survival tips!
