I think the purchase that brought me the most value is my 1 gallon water bottle

I bought it 6€, every morning, when I get up I fill it completely, and my goal for the day is to finish it
Thanks to this, I was able to get into the habit of drinking water, and this allowed me to create a morning routine (waking up, filling the bottle, meditating and going to the gym)
I got one too - a bad habit is I sometimes put preworkout in it for slow release caffeine throughout the day lol

What is the best "value" you ever paid for?

Just curious to hear people's experiences.

For me, my foam roller was a great value. It cost around $20 bucks but helps relieve my back and neck of stress and pain. On bad days, rolling on this thing becomes the best $20 bucks I ever spent!

What is the best $X you ever spent?

There is no limit ... if you spent $80K on a Corvette and felt is was the best value ever, then that's OK!

Let's hear it!
For me its traveling. Even though it may have cost me a few thousands of dollars to fly across the ocean it gave me a reason why I have to start and scale my business so I can do it more often instead of wasting my life for a job that only allows me 2 weeks of vacation a year(In the US).

Software: shortpixel image compression, unlimited lifetime deal from appsumo maybe 6 or 7 years ago. 50 bucks?

Product: Rubber Adidas phone case for arm/wristband. When I lived and travelled through Sth East Asia for 4 years it was a God send for Google maps while driving a scooter around unfamiliar places. 20 bucks. Still have it.

Coaching program for my commercial cleaning business that I'm one year into. Only 35 USD a month and every Monday and Weds evening I have about 1.5 to 2 hours in a group kajabi call with about 10 to 15 others, with a mentor that is at the top of this industry in my country and has turned my business around in the 3 months I've been in it.

Another fitness device, think I paid $15 on Temu. Awesome body weight exerciser, all push up motions.

If you're interested in the cheezy, low-brow marketing version that will make it's way to Instagram for $59.95, here it is. LOL

in 2002 I bought the book from Allen Carr easy way to stop smoking cost me around € 15 and saved me a pack a day since then - let me sum it up lets say average € 5 per day(not taking into consideration price valid today) x 365 days = € 1825 per year x 21 years € 38325 In addition feeling healthier, not smelling like an ashtray. I think it was worth it

Every public library I have been in has a free/cheap clearance section. Lots of biographies, poly sci, econ, non-fiction knowledge there. Also free wifi if needed.

Great book. My parents were big smokers, so... then I was. I quit after reading that book 15 years ago then gave it to my Mum, who then quit. Definitely saved her life.

Great question - plenty of interesting answers in here.

For me:

1) Evernote subscription (personal plan - $100 / year), used as a single source for:

- Managing daily TODO lists
- Reminders
- Catching tasks on the fly with dictation for execution later
- Current & past projects notes
- Collection of inspirational nuggets from books & articles - including lots from Millionaire
Fastlane and Unscripted
- Music playlists
- Food recipes for family favourite dishes
- Trainings I've taken & will take, e.g. from Udemy, EdEx

In short - if I loose access to this service for some reason, I'm screwed!

2) Close runner-up: wireless Bose speaker $200 - works like a charm still after 10 years of use - compact and with great sound, SO many podcasts, music and news listened to while working out, doing DYI, playing board games with kids, vacationing, etc.

So today I went into Kohl’s because I had to drop off an Amazon return. I went to the men’s section and I found these super soft T-shirts. No joke, these are the softest shirts I’ve ever felt.

I look up and I realize I am in the pajama section! And then I go around feeling others shirts in this section and they are all super soft also.

I think I’ve discovered my brand new favorite shirts, men’s sleep shirts. Never knew these were a thing!

The Kara Goldin show is another entrepreneur who created Hint the drinking water bottle. She brings immense value to her show and you will find a plethora of e-commerce brands and how they created their products based on a need either they have experienced or had a problem with. Totally recommend watching it. Another way of generating ideas.

FREE. (Except for the advertisements, she just implemented them *Sigh* use to not be like that).

I would say the The Secrets Trilogy by Russell Brunson and (ofc) TMF .

Best books ever read. Insane value in them and highly recommend it to guys who are unsatisfied with their jobs and are looking for a way out.

This is going to be a weird one, but I just had to sing my praises for this.

Get yourself some extra long screwdrivers. I bought these for a project and have since used them so many times that I kick myself for not having them. You won’t realize how often you need a screwdriver that is at least 10 to 12 inches long.

And get the magnetic one because most of the times you will use this in a spot where you can’t reach and hold the screw with your finger.

The best $10 you will spend. Trust me.

Pornhub premium.

But seriously, as someone that was born with body hair that rivals that of the late Robin Williams, I'd have to say the "Bakblade." Pic attached.

Literally shaved my entire body with no issues. I was completely dry and finished without a single cut. And at 80$ shipped, I feel it was a solid deal.

And yes, being completely hairless for the first time at 35 was definitely an adjustment.

Edit: And from what I can tell, "Bakblade" has 0 competition...

Cheers.

Laser hair removal is far better.

Take it from someone as hairy as a gorilla, one year in and my back hair is completely gone and I only need one appointment every 6 or so months to keep it that way.

Best investment for me, far better than the annoyance of shaving.

A computer. For 3-400 dollars you can get a device that is able to build you a massive business. Massive ROI. Although, if you only use your pc for gaming, entertainment and porn, then it’s the worst investment possible.

My totally best value was budgeting application YNAB. I remember that shock when we started using it with my wife and ended the month with some insane (for 2 students) left-over money. It literary payed for itself in the first week or so.

Yep I also use YNAB, it's amazing! That, combined with the Profit First model = win.

My Withings Body + smart scales. I paid £80 in September and it’s been a game changer.

I’ve been consistent in the gym for the last 3 years but my nutrition and weight management has always been my weakness.

Being able to track pretty much everything in their app and on the scales has led to me dropping over a stone in weight since the summer.

Tracking really gets addictive and without a doubt those scales are one of the main reasons I’ve finally been able to get my weight and nutrition on track.

A Derila pillow. It is ergonomic, keeps your head and neck aligned while sleeping and it is thin enough to be comfortable on all sleeping positions. The best thing about it is that it is small enough for me to bring on my carry-on when traveling.

I travel a lot for work, so having a "piece of home" to bring to hotels, and knowing I will have a comfortable pillow everywhere (you know how hotels could be), was a game changer.

Best 50 bucks spent

Yeah, that's my next step. I wanted to try it via shaving first to ensure being hairless was something I could tolerate. Idk man, body hair has always been a weird concept for me, lmfao.

Our cat comes into the bedroom at night and messes with the curtains, hence a shaft of light spears through and wakes me before I need to get up. So I bought a sleep mask on Amazon, it was pretty expensive for that sort of thing, but it's the best purchase I've made in a long time. Sleep is so damn important and now each morning I get up feeling like I've had a good night's rest.

Automatic cat litter box
Lol, another great value purchase linked to the cat! We got this for our old cat Bootsy, who is no longer with us. Before I met my wife I was always a dog person, mainly because I don't dig animals who sh*t indoors. Anyway, one day I spent a couple of hundred pounds on an auto cat litter that had to be emptied once a month and didn't stink.

Although, we have a kitten now and the replacement trays have doubled in price and this kitten is a lot messier than our old cat, so now I use the reusable tray and have to clean it almost every week. So the value has slipped on this one, though it has given me about ten years of good service. It also means people don't have to touch the litter when we go away and get someone to look after the cat. Which increases the amount of people you can ask.

This frickin' phone case. Sturdiest, strongest case ever. 11.99. Nothing comes even close. Beats OtterBox by a mile.

To me, it's such a valuable product because I'm a "dropper." Yes, I drop my iPhone daily, sometimes twice (sometimes twice in a row when picking it up after the first drop!). Thanks to this case, being a "dropper" doesn't cost me 100s of dollars.

^^^^ this!! Before I got an IPhone I constantly heard of people complaining that they’re so fragile etc. Knowing myself to be very clumsy, I bought a case and put it on instantly, and instantly dropped it LOL. I dropped it several times daily after that, sometimes even on my foot haha. Since then every IPhone I’ve had has had a case.

I would say summer pass to play tennis and soon it will be tennis robot called slinger. Tennis machine is for training and when friends don't have time to play.

I recommend tennis. You learn focus and not giving up. It's not easy sport but that's what it makes sooo good.

I didn't buy this but I rent a space that includes one and would buy it if I needed to.

I used to think that super high-end office chairs were a rip off, and I have always used mid-range (<$400) office chairs that were most of the time some kind of faux leather that would always tear or break after a few years.

I end up doing a lot of sitting while developing GoalSumo.com throughout the day, and I used to always be (somewhat) sore after 2-3 hours of sitting at my desk.

While I'm not recommending this habit, I can easily sit in this chair for 6-7 hours without any issues or aches. I'm 23 so I'm guessing folks with a few more miles on the odometer might get even more benefit from one. My office space has these all over the place, and they have never replaced one.

At first I thought that I wouldn't like these due to the fact that the backrest angle can't be adjusted, but as I've used it, it turns out it really didn't matter at all. I seriously think this chair is more comfortable than most couches and loveseats folks have in their living room.

According to Google lens, this is a Herman Miller Cosm, and I looked around and saw that they were significantly cheaper than the Aeron chair most people recommend ( I think it's about $1000, less if used).

Screenshot 2024-03-05 at 20.05.02@2x.png 1709687172537.png

Bonus value: I recently purchased my first coffee mug as an adult (I don't drink coffee). I bought it as a little desk artwork piece more than anything, and it's been bringing me so many micro-doses of joy each day. I don't put anything in it, I just have it for show. It was $15 at a Google store.... It's the Google Chrome offline dinosaur game.

Every morning, I make a decsion if I want the dinosaur side or the buzzard side, sometimes I even flip it around at lunch time.
