Hi Fastlaners!

I need help with my tagline. I wrote down 3 options:
  • Helping ambitious entrepreneurs perform at their absolute best so they can effectively scale their business without sacrificing their personal life;
  • Helping ambitious entrepreneurs maximize their performance and their potential so they can effectively scale their business without having to sacrifice their personal life;
  • Helping ambitious entrepreneurs effectively scale their business without sacrificing their personal life by becoming the high-performing and resilient leader they need to be;
Please let me know which one is the most appealing to you and answer the following questions on a scale of 1-10 and briefly elaborate:
  1. Does the USP make you feel understood?
  2. Do you resonate with the USP?
  3. How appealing does the service that I provide sound to you?
Please only message if you are an ambitious/high-achieving entrepreneur with an already established business.

Bonus question: Do you resonate more with the term ambitious or high-achieving?

How I can help you in turn:

Since I am always looking to connect with ambitious entrepreneurs, hone my craft and elevate other people, I'd be willing to offer you a free coaching session in return where we scope out your bottlenecks and figure out the next best actions going forward. My mentor who is one of the leaders in the high performance space taught me everything over the past year about high-performance. He charges €3.000,- for 2 hours with him. I'm happy to do this one-off for free.

PS. I know that these is a lot more that goes into proper positioning and having a brand that your audience can connect themselves with but since this is the first thing that someone sees it's pretty essential and I have a feeling it doesn't connect with my audience as well as it should, which stops them from experiencing the possibilities there are when working with me.

Thank you kindly in advance!

Jasper

None of those are taglines. They are just banal statements.

These are taglines.

Ronseal - Does Exactly What It Says On The Tin.

L'Oreal - Because You're Worth It

BMW - Ultimate Driving Machine

Nike - Just do it

Apple -Think Different

Unless you have a great one that manages to capture an emotion about the product/company as the above have, I wouldn't bother. What is Sony's or Addidas' off the top of your head?

That's because this isn't about taglines. This post is to get people to reach out for a free coaching session that, strangely, offers what every free discovery call ever in the history of all high-ticket gurus offers...

...to help you get clear about your blockages so you can figure out your next steps which will probably be to pay this guy only $1,500 for 2 hours with him so he can recover his losses from spending $3,000 per 2 hours with his guru...

Funny his forum intro said he's not a coach.

*Edited because I forgot to #landfill this.*

Ment USP, my bad. In a previous post someone said it's a tagline. My tagline is actually Thrive In Business and in Life. But that does not really matter as of now, my goal is to create a clear picture of the service that I offer, so a tagline would be too vague for that in the first place, and makes more sense once you have an actual brand I would assume?

I avoid commercials like the plague - but Sony's = make.believe ^^

Actually this post is about getting my USP validated and being able to provide a bigger impact to more entrepreneurs, like yourself. I included a free coaching session because I don't want to blatantly ask for advice and not give value in return as I don't like to leech off other people.

On your assumptions:
  • My mentor is not just some guru, he has worked with tons of high-level CEOs, entrepreneurs and famous people, and they all vouch for him. The proof is in the pudding.
  • I payed him a fraction of what he normally charges. We've had half a year of which half was personal mentorship, not 2 hours. The price was just to make sure I value the work we did together or it would have been free in the first place.
  • I don't call myself a coach because that term is meaningless and the field itself is saturated with people who create marginal shifts. I simply provide a transformation with an outcome and coaching is the main way how I do that.
I would have very much appreciated your help, but roasting me for no reason is fine too. Just please, next time you see a young entrepreneur asking for help (so he can better help you), maybe consider being useful, instead of attempting to hurt.

So you will not, at any point in time, under any circumstances, even if it's a really really really good fit, offer to coach/mentor (or whatever other name you come up with to disguise it)...someone who reaches out to you...at cost?

My mentor is not just some guru, he has worked with tons of high-level CEOs, entrepreneurs and famous people, and they all vouch for him. The proof is in the pudding.
How can the proof be in the pudding when there is no pudding? You're trying to leverage the credibility of a guru we don't know, can't verify, and don't care about.

I payed him a fraction of what he normally charges. We've had half a year of which half was personal mentorship, not 2 hours. The price was just to make sure I value the work we did together or it would have been free in the first place.
Yes, I'm aware of how high-ticket gurus operate. I've worked with hundreds of them at all levels.

I don't call myself a coach because that term is meaningless and the field itself is saturated with people who create marginal shifts. I simply provide a transformation with an outcome and coaching is the main way how I do that.
If you provide coaching, by definition, you're a coach. Tell us how you provide transformational shifts when you don't even know what you offer, and have no sense for specificity.

I've never met a coach worth anything who didn't at least have clarity about what they do, and who they do it for. The best coaches have built a real business before they started coaching. What real business have you built?

I would have very much appreciated your help, but roasting me for no reason is fine too. Just please, next time you see a young entrepreneur asking for help (so he can better help you), maybe consider being useful, instead of attempting to hurt.
It isn't for no reason, but if you feel offended, Warrior Forum has a safe space for you.

If I have to help you to help me, then why do I need you? Being "young" makes no difference. I don't discriminate when it comes to fake guru busting.

You’re on this forum asking for help with a tagline after working one on one with a high level coach for 6 months and you think you’re going to be able to coach people in business and in life?

Call it a usp call it a tagline call it whatever you want those are 3 phrases that all say exactly the same thing with different words. You can’t even work that out and you’re going to coach people?

You’re going to get roasted in this thread but I suggest you hang around a while, there’s a lot of successful people here who you can learn a lot from, they just don’t take kindly to this business model. The bullshit meters here are set to max, which is also why it’s such a good forum.

You will be successful, the sooner you get yourself out of this guru mlm shithole the better.

Of course I will, I would be doing that person a massive disservice if it's a really really good fit, and I can help them to achieve the outcome that they want. Are you seriously telling me to not help someone if someone wants my help and I can help? Just not if it's anything other than a good fit and only if that person wants to know more.

How can the proof be in the pudding when there is no pudding? You're trying to leverage the credibility of a guru we don't know, can't verify, and don't care about.
If you'd care to find out more about me you'd easily find him. Not the point of my post. Just wanted to help.

If you provide coaching, by definition, you're a coach. Tell us how you provide transformational shifts when you don't even know what you offer, and have no sense for specificity.

?
I told you my target audience, the outcome that I offer and I precisely know how I do it. I'm just trying to figure out how I can best position myself for my target audience, how to word the outcome that I offer and how I can best explain how I do it. That's marketing.

Although I've had a "real" business, I don't need a business because I don't do anything with my clients' business. I just chose to help entrepreneurs because we need someone in our corner more than anyone else and I can help other entrepreneurs more than anyone else. Everything I do happens through my clients' identity, paradigm, energy, productivity and focus, which produces better results. What they do with this heightened state is their choice.

Yes, I'm aware of how high-ticket gurus operate. I've worked with hundreds of them at all levels.

Not offended man. Just don't like you attempting to put others down because of previous bad experiences. You said yourself that you have no clue about what I do (which I specifically excluded because I wanted to keep it concise). I don't quite understand how it then makes sense for you to use that as some kind of fuel or whatever you're trying to accomplish.

If I have to help you to help me, then why do I need you? Being "young" makes no difference.
Although I didn't really mean it like that, an actual good point. More like "help me show you that I can actually help you"!

This is literally the mantra of every wannabe high-ticket guru ever. You would've been better off posting a marketplace ad. At least people would respect that.

The only one you're fooling here is yourself. You should consider a different business model before you waste more time and money on this path and before more people call you out for claiming you can help others when you can't even help yourself.

Thanks Mitch! This was actually very helpful. Conclusion: I'm overthinking it and it doesn't matter.

I worked with him on actually learning the coaching skills and being able to help others, I didn't want to be another coach who has great marketing but no value. We only briefly worked on setting up the business, and during that I relied mostly on his understanding of my target audience, so now I am still doing more and more research to better understand my audience.

It's unfortunate that you guys view what I'm doing in this way. I understand the hate for the business model itself since there is a lot of BS agreed. But that's not what I'm doing, what I'm trying to stay away from, and it's a shame I didn't manage to get that across.

Thanks again.

It seems like you have good intentions which is good, like I said the bs meters are set to max here.

I’m not saying I support what you are trying to do but at least you have good intentions which will translate well into any business.

How did you find this forum? have you read the books?

Nobody hates you. I don't even think most of the forum hates the coaching business model. Half of the people here, including myself, have coached others at high prices.

But you need credibility.

Saying you've worked with someone from somewhere who has done some things, and now you can help real business owners overcome the challenges in their businesses that they can't even overcome themselves...well, that's just calling us stupid.

If you want to be valuable, share something of value. Not an entry to your coaching funnel. Tell us about your business. Tell us about your success. Tell us about others you've coached to success. Give details. Help others for free right here on the forum.

We don't know you. You have like 10 posts. I've been on this forum almost a decade. I consider the forum members my brothers and sisters, and I try to help my brothers and sisters avoid dumping money into things that won't get them the results they're after.

Maybe you'll stick around. Read the forum's threads. Read the books. You're in the right place for an amazing, free, business education.

When I hire anyone to teach me anything, I hire the best. You have to go through a lot of shit to be the best. What shit have you gone through? What makes you the best?

Welcome to the forum.

Hi Mitch, appreciate your message! I was reading Fastlane Millionaire, almost through it but on a information diet right now, just doing more of the things that need doing, instead of consuming more and more content. It's on the top of my list though.

Appreciate it Lex! Definitely understand your POV now and also plan to add a whole bunch of value to the forum, not going anywhere. I can see now that immediately inviting people to a free call is not a value-providing thing, that was bad judgment by me. Looking forward to when you're my big bro too ^^
