Hey everyone, I co-founded a digital marketing agency and we are in the process of growing our following.

We've established our Facebook page and are growing our mailing list. Our next challenge is growing the amount of traffic to our site.

I'm looking for recommendations to grow our traffic to our site including any JV opportunities with people who serve similar clients.

Thoughts?

Welcome to the forum.

I'm afraid I don't get it...

Your question sounds like this:

Why does a media marketing company need advice on how to market the marketing company?

I'm not being snarky, legit question. That tells me if I hired you, you wouldn't know what to do -- unless I'm defining what you do incorrectly.

It does sound a little bit like that from where I sit

If I were you I would focus on getting amazing results for even one client first, even if you have to give your services away free or cheap. Then that gives you a story that conveys your value to future clients. You can keep adding to your collection of stories/testimonials over time

What is your current level of experience with digital marketing. What results have you produced for yourself or someone else?

If you don't have any yet, the first step is to immerse yourself in the workd of marketing and get really good (at least good enough where you can offer demonstratable value)

Best of luck!

I'm confused too.

Why are you growing a following and an email list?

Why don't you engage the market and get paid to solve client problems?

Questions to ask yourself:

Who am I helping?

What am I helping them with?

How am I doing it?

If you don't know this yet then it's likely because you've not engaged the market yet.

So just go out there and help someone and take it from there.

My favourite business quote springs to mind, and I mention it in this short video:

On a side note, MJ, I have noticed MANY online businesses/startups (groan) which offer marketing as their service but the firms themselves are either not making squat or just earning enough to pay the bills and keep the lights on.

I don't like this....it's as if certain industries have a very high proportion of bullshit, BRO-marketing and value-pushers. I smell a crash...

Also, get an SSL certificate. No ones going to give you their email address to a sketchy website.

Thanks to those of you who've given constructive criticism. I wasn't looking for marketing help, I was looking for ways to connect with JV partners as that is a new avenue for us.

So multiple folks have asked you for more information (which you have failed to answer) you've gotten some feedback (not related to your original question) and your best response to all of this is "delete my account"?

Interesting.

Interesting.

That's not really the reason. It's the fact that the account is more public than I'd liked.

The constructive comments are good and I've taken note. Just don't want my personal info out there

I think my wording was off. My goals was to get ideas on how to approach JV partnerships more so than it is to try to establish a one way type relationships. My point of explaining my current situation was to show where I am and if there was someone in a similar stage in their business and that sees a mutual benefit to contact me.

Those who have done it in the past to some success, what worked for you? How did you find and approach potential JV partners?

Makes MUCH more sense.

Yeah it turned ugly quickly there. Got beat up so bad I had to change my name

Let's be honest. It looks like you came into our house and started asking for business partners out of no where.

The fact the admins are letting you stay is a good thing.

This forum is an incredible resource and has a lot of successful people willing to contribute help when it's deserved.

My suggestion is to take the constructive crotons and also give value here. It'll pay dividends in returns.
