Hello guys, I’m a Fullstack Software Engineer currently working a full-time job and living in an expensive country in Europe.
I’m 31 years old with over 5 years of professional experience in my profession, and the reason I am here is that I’ve had many financial struggles over the last 15 months (and got my current job luckily about 5 months ago), so life is not really enjoyable at this moment in time. I’ve had many moments that shattered my energy to the point where letters about my unpaid bills and debts don’t trigger any emotions in me anymore.
As I read about FTE, I’ve been thinking about many situations. The thing is, I’ve had lots of ideas but stopped after a few weeks when I found out that someone else had already done what I wanted to do, or I realized I had competitors that already caught the broad mass.
I’m currently stuck in a loop of having to work full-time as a SWE to pay bills and debts, which is the script, while I deeply desire to live somewhere else with my soon-to-be wife (she’s also been through all of this with me), where the sun shines, I don’t exchange time for money, and I can live free. If I had the chance to move somewhere else where it’s warm all year round, it would be the first thing I’d go for, but unfortunately, with the current financial situation, it’s not possible.
Ideas I had:
I never thought it would become this hard to find an idea. I have the hunger and willpower to give all my energy into the idea but I’ve been in this loop for too long and felt that I had to share it with you guys. If you can relate, tell me what has been your FTE or the reasons you were able to reach your goal, no matter if SaaS or any other way.

- An AI app that lets users explain a presentation or complex topic out loud and then gives feedback on clarity, structure, style, and knowledge gaps, tailored to a specific target audience. (Too broad target group? Who is it for? Teachers, students, non-technical people learning technical concepts?)
- An intuitive shop SaaS that lets non-technical users quickly set up and run an online store without a steep learning curve or complex setup. (Would people rather go for Shopify or choose my product?)
- A website change monitoring micro SaaS that tracks price or critical content changes and triggers alerts or scraping only when updates occur, helping users stay compliant and reduce unnecessary scraping costs
