Hello to all fast lane drivers!
I'm Keen.
I'm currently 27 years old. Last year, I read MJ's books, “The Millionaire Fastlane ,” “Unscripted ,” and “Wealth Exposed.” I loved all three titles, but especially “Unscripted ,” which you don't fully understand until you pick up the shovel and get your first job (as in my case) and have to deal with, for example, an abusive boss who masks risk, puts you in constant danger, doesn't respect schedules, and sets impossible tasks as challenges (I had my FTE at that job). All of that cost me my time, my health, and even my relationship. It was crazy! I quit and now I'm unemployed with $400 that I was able to save.
Honestly, I feel like I've wasted a lot of time in the slow lane, because I went from career to career (I didn't like any of them), added to my parents' expectations that I would get a degree. Although I did finish the last one I studied (industrial engineering), it's very disappointing to see the reality of the working world: dealing with shitty bosses, miserable salaries, being subjected to orders (even worse if your boss is a F*cking lunatic), having to say “yes” to everything the corporation requires or else they threaten to fire you, and a whole lot of other things that are redundant to mention.
That's why I've decided to rebel and stop betraying myself, aiming for the top, because it's a million times better to work eight hours for yourself and build something of value 24 hours a day than to waste your life in places where you're not appreciated and could even be put at risk.
Now that I'm on the fast track, I'm in a stage of exploring ideas. I would like to do something related to programming (although I am just learning Python). I see many opportunities in that field due to the automation of tasks and processes (in my opinion) or AI (which literally replaces jobs), although I want to immerse myself and have a more global vision by seeing your contributions in the forum (maybe I am being too narrow-minded or something better will occur to me, I am open to anything). I would also like to do my bit for anyone who might need it at the right moment.
With nothing more to say, I am infinitely grateful to MJ for immortalizing your knowledge and your entrepreneurial philosophy in the aforementioned books and for creating this forum, which is a great business ecosystem with that same philosophy (Fastline/CENTS) that I love.
