I was watching youtube one day last week and one of the ads I normally skip after five seconds caught my attention. I watched most of the video, which was by a guy named Tai Lopez. Even though the video did a good job in keeping my attention for the most part, the pitch seemed like a get rich quick scheme. So just to satisfy my cynical nature I googled the guy and found a discussion about him here. This then led me to google The Millionaire Fastlane and read some amazon reviews of it, which were overwhelmingly positive.
So I bought the book and have started reading it in my spare time along with browsing through whatever catches my eye here on the website. I currently hold a public sector job in which I have been very successful, but with the exception of a promotion, my salary has remained the same for approximately ten years. I now have a wife and baby I want to give a great life to, and I have a certain list of things I want to do, all of which require more money. Furthermore, I don't want to do as the author of the book has described and wait till I'm 65 to experience any sort of financial freedom.
I'm here mostly to soak it all in, listen to the guys who have been around the block a time or two and have established their bona fides, and occasionally ask a question or offer an opinion. Unless you have a question about firearms or biometrics/Next Generation Identification, I probably won't be providing a lot of answers.
Hopefully I'll learn a lot and chip in where I can.
