Haha forgive me for the attention grabbing headline, but I was wondering if anyone else ever gets curious what someone does based on how they live?
I have 2 guys on my street that I would say are very well off, and I'm often scratching my head trying to figure out how they got to be so rich:
1 has a brand new Cadillac Escalade parked outside as we speak, hooked up to a 25 foot speedboat, and it looks him him and his lovely girl are heading to the lake. They've got about 5 Harleys in the garage, and are definitely flaunting their wealth.
The other has brand new cars parked in his garage and out on the street every month. He literally must buy or trade a car in every 2-3 months, because the cars are always rotating. He has Land Rovers, a Caddilac, Jaguars, new custom Mustangs, a new Land Cruiser, and several work trucks for his Paving/Chipsealing company (I read the sign on the sides of them) which are all BRAND NEW Customized F-150's and 1 Lincoln luxury Truck. Nice trucks to use for work...
I decided to cyber-stalk these guys a little to figure out what they did that was so profitable. I couldn't find much out online about the 1st guy other than that HIS HOUSE is actually in FORECLOSURE right now! (LOL... Shocker... I guess he was "faking it" until he could make it?"). It's due to be sold at auction on 9/15, and he's still pretending to be wealthy out in the street with his Escalade!? He apparently owes $202k on the place, so he must have put the minimum down and been making payments.
The 2nd guy actually (According to county records) -- paid 100% cash for his house back in 2000, and has no mortgage. Unbelievable to me, since these are $300k houses (A lot for me) -- and I had to really financially squeeze myself in here. Couldn't find much about his business online, except it's legit.
Does the Paving / Chipsealing business really make that much money? This guy is living like he makes $500k a year, easily.... Or does he have a drug running business on the side? haha
